Hello, my workflow for my current job is to first save as an AI file, and then save as jpg file.Everytime I save a jpg, I have to go through a dialogue box. I'd specifically like to automate the Exporting As a jpg file. 1. On Export As, I always check the box "Use Artboards"2. Dialogue Box:3. I always save the jpg to my current folder that the AI file is already saved in.Is there a way for a script to automate these exact Export As settings, saved in the current folder, as the same/current file name?

Using Illustrator version 28.7.1...  I am working on a document from approx. 1-1/2 years ago that I created and saved.  Trying to work with it today, the type Glyph choices (that were saved 1-1/2 years ago, using a font that owned then, and that I still own) do show up.  But, when you attempt to select the glyph of your choice by double-clicking on it, Illustrator will not allow the change to be made; in fact, nothing happens.  I did check the Glyph window, and "Alternates for current selection" is chosen, as per a suggestion that I saw from the Adobe Community.   I also checked my Illustrator -> Preferences -> Type, and the box for "enable missing glyph protection" is checked, which was also a suggestion from the Adobe Community.   In case it matters, the font is called "Balford Shadow", and was purchased from "My Fonts".  I don't understand why I was able to save this project with the desired glyphs intact 1-1/2 years ago, but today when I ope

I've tried a few methods to cut this shape so the gradient mesh grid follows the shape (the blank line in the middle is just the path I want the gradient mesh grid to follow) but I've had no success ?

It was not possible to call one script from another in Illustrator. The solutions I found do not work. 1) this solution gives an error  #include "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64 Bit)\Presets\en_US\Scripts\anotherscript.jsx"    2) and this one seems do nothing  var f = new File("C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64 Bit)\Presets\en_US\Scripts\anotherscript.jsx"); f.execute();    What other ways are there?

I've been trying to distort my text into this saxophone silhouette I've created using the pen tool. And yes, the object ive drawn is on top, text is below. I've tried making the text into outlines and it still does the same thing. I've tried flipping the silhouette object and still nothing. It keeps doing this, compeltely illegible; I've even tried doing a more simple silhouette and nothing.  

This is the glitch which is happening in illustrator to me when ever I enter the presentation mode and then exit it and also I am unable to use the particular art board in full mode individually.

I am having this issue for a long time where my materials are not showing and keeps infinitely loading in the 3d panel. check the attached image. (It may be because of the materials i downloaded from the substance 3d materials library. And now they are on the cloud interfering with the files maybe?). Please guide me how to resolve the problem.Thanks  

Hi there, I am trying to draw a curve use a pattern brush but I want to maintain the shape of the pattern brush. here is an example: Here is the pattern: iHere is what it looks like when drawn using a line:So far so good. Here is what it looks like if I bend the line:As you can see, the oval on top is reshaped. But what I want is to maintain the shape, so that it looks like:As you can see, the top one did not retain the original shape. What I really want is like this: I can draw them separately (2 chain on the side and 1 oval on the top) but that has its own issues.1. The size might be uneven (as you can see, the top oval on the image above is slighly different).2. It makes changing color and other steps a bit cumbersome.  Is there a way to achive this with a single line? I played around with the "fit" settings in the pattern brush options but didn't find anything that could help. If someone has an idea how to fix this or how to make this process easi

When exporting PNG files from 'Asset Export' in Illustrator and importing the file into Acrobat PDF, a dark blue-grey background appears for no reason. There is no background around the graphic in Illustrator, and none when viewing in any other app or preview.  It only shows up when importing the PNG to Acrobat.   I've never had an issue with any file format exported from this panel until now. If anyone has encountered this before and can offer a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.  Here's an example of what I'm seeing on my end.

Hi Adobe Support,6 month ago, I created a 2 color logo in Ill. 2019. For both colors I created a CMYK swatch which has the correct color values. My color profile is ISo coated v2. After upgrading Illustrator to 2020 I opend the file and it told me that the assigned color profile now is US Web coated. I have 3 choices to proceed. If I choose to change colors into my normal ISO coated v2 profile, Illustrator changes the swatch color values from 100/0/100/15 to 97/1,37/92,25/4,8. Why would the color swatch value change if the color profiles (both CMYK) change? Any Ideas?Kind regards, Katja

I am wondering why illustrator is working so extremely slow? I´m spending more time on trying to fix this problem (that by the way has not been solved by looking at the community questions and answers in this forum) than i am spending doing actually work. I am working on a Macbook pro (16 gb RAM 2,5 gb hertz), and currently on a quite small file - but it still takes like 30 seconds to do one single tiny move. Please help me with this, as I am paying good money for actually being able to use this program!

Anytime I try to change or add a format, I try to type in any of the fields, scale, suffix, or format, Illustrator crashes. There are no workarounds I've found and this has been happening for a few versions now.

As you can see, I have drawns some objects that I need to edit.  Every time I click into the workspace to edit, I get the X and entire box is selected.  I can't get back within the drawing to fix (fill in the pants, delete extra shapes, etc.). This is probably my 4th day of AI.  Thank you for your hlep.

Hello, I need your help removing the Monotype App/Monotype Plugin/Monotype Extension traces from my Macbook Pro and Adobe Suite. This has gone on for well over 4 months now and I've continued to work around it but it's costing me time and money as a freelancer. I have a MacBook ProThe Monotype App continues to show up in my extensions dropdown, even though I've deleted every *searchable* trace of it, using your support steps shown here.Every time I open an Illustrator file that contains links or images, the images start duplicating and piling up on top of my file, causing me to go in and delete each extra image, one by one.Then, I go and check images that were linked within a clipping mask. Here, I find multiple, stacked-on-top-of-eachother duplicates of the images. I delete the extra images.THEN, I have to go in and relink every single image file. On top of that, even if linked images don't stack and duplicate, I've found where images that remai

Tengo una Nvidia RTX 3060, he usado esta misma tarjeta en illustrator sin problemas durante mucho tiempo, el viernes mismo, use Illustrator sin problema. Al abrilo hoy no reconoce la tarjeta GPU.  En los detalles ni siquiea aparece la información de la tarjeta gráfica. He probado a actulizar los drives, he probado con drivers anteriores y con diferentes versiones de illustrator y también con las soluciones que aparecen en el foro. No consigo solucionar el problema. No puedo usar el Zoom animado y estoy demasiado acostumbrado a usarlo. Por favor, necesito una solución. 

So I was working on a cloud Illustrator file since this morning, then suddenly my Illustrator froze and then closed with no notification, nothing. When I reopened my file - it was the old version from early morning, missing many hours of the work I have done since. There was no file recovery window as it happens when the files are saved locally, nothing - last version saved 9 in the morning and all the other work gone. Is there a way to restore my data?

Greetings, team. I have a suggestion to enhance your fantastic design software. I frequently work with tiny text elements in my vector art designs for textile sublimation. The challenge lies in the sheer volume of items I create daily, each with various sizes and variations. Sometimes, I inadvertently include text within the art, only to notice it after printing. To address this, I propose the creation of a 'guide text' feature. This text could be visible during the design process but excluded from the final print. Alternatively, a warning could be implemented to alert users when text is present within the art. Thank you for considering my suggestion

Hi all,   I'm editing a Turkish text and need to add an ş [s cedilla - Unicode 015f] to the text. Text is set in Helvetica Neue LT Pro 75 Bold. When I click the Glyphs panel to add the character ş, instead of adding the correct character Illustrator adds an ș [s comma - Unicode 219]. I tried in a different font (Myriad Pro) and that seems to work as expected, but since there is no [s comma] available in that font I'm not sure if it could go wrong the way it does with Helvetica.   Anyone else has seen this kind of behaviour? Do you think this is font related or caused by Illustrator.Any solutions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated 🙂   Cheers, Tom

Please help...When setting up my tabs to right align for Dollar amounts with leaders they are not aligning right. They are all jagged.
