Questions

I would like to create curved text so I clicked the "Type on a Path Tool" as was indicated in every single tutorial on the internet.  I get the error message "You must click on a non-compound, non masking path to create text along a path." There document I am working with is literally blank and there is nothing to deselect.    This question has been asked many times in other threads but all of those threads involve an actual project. There is LITERALLY nothing to deselect as this is a new document and I am trying to make a path with the "type along a path tool."

Hi, Illustrator stopped showing difference in black in preview mode.Between 100% black and 40 30 30 100 Black there is no difference!Did anyone else noticed it is very urgent matter to us it happened on all 4 users accounts.It is a urgent matter - please fix this! 

I recently installed Creative Cloud and Illustrator on my Asus Vivobook 15, which is running Windows 10. Illustrator will work normally for a while, but sometimes it will freeze, which usually freezes my entire computer and I have to restart the computer. I haven't noticed a pattern in what makes it freeze. I also have had two different times where I got the computer back on but had a driver issue that wasn't there before the freeze. First I couldn't change the brightness on my screen and it ended up being related to a driver. Then I lost the ability to use my trackpad and had to completely reinstall the trackpad driver. The freezing up isn't related to CPU or RAM--I have enough. I'm using a fully up-to-date version of Windows 10. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator, and then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire Creative Cloud. It's still freezing and I don't know what else to try.

Buen día,hace poco el progama Ai 2021 me comenzó a considerar el trazo como parte de una medida de un objeto. Para citar un ejemplo: Realizo un cuadrado de 10 x 10 cm y al ponerle trazo ese trazo tambien termina siendo considerado por el box o cuadro delimitador; es decir, este cuadrado  con el stroke termina midiento 10,35 cm (la medida termina siendo relativa, dependiendo de los puntos que le aplique al stoke, claro está). Espero poder expresado bien esta novedad ya que trabajo mucho con planos mecánicos y es importante la exactitud en este tipo de trabajos. Ho notato che l'aspetto del nero viene visualizzato in modo errato nellla versione 28.7 rispetto alle versioni precedenti. Allego screenshot esemplificativo.Preciso che per entrambe le versioni, nelle preferenze, ho le stesse impostazioni per quanto riguarda l'aspetto del nero. Allego anche screenshot delle preferenze.

I recently made a bunch of paths into a vector portrait. I made so many that the app is kinda slow now. I want to combine all the paths into one shape or image. But whenever I try nothing works the way I want. I just want the paths made into a single layer so the app isn't so slow.

Hi, I was orking on the illustrator. I did " isolate sellected group" and my all document locked. I cant sellect anytihng now. How can I fix this? 

Hello,I am trying to export to .png from illustrator in 300Dpi, it is showing me this error " The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error" [!Now] . Please help me in fixing it. I am using windows 8.1 pro 64 bit.Thanks

Bonjour à tousJ'ai installé Adobe Creative Cloud et Photoshop sur mon iPad Pro et j'ai réussi à me connecter à mon compte Microsoft 365 en passant par Edge.Par contre sur Illustrator la cinématique d'authentification est identique mais au retour sur Illustrator je reste sur la page d'accueil.Sur Windows 11 et MacOSX aucun problème pour utiliser Illustrator avec ma licence.Merci pour votre aide.

So I've been working with my good friend ChatGpt to write some script for illustrator to streamline a very small part of my workflow on a specific project and in trying to get the artboard bounds/width I'm getting rounded numbers instead of the accurate decimals. I'm creating renders of walls using a ratio of 1 inch : 10 pixels because accuracy is very important. The purpose of this script is to "print" (create and place text) the width in inches of the active artboard. For example, if an artboard is 1032 pixels wide it's converted to inches by dividing by 10 and it should create text that says ' 103.2" '. The issue is that the value assigned to the artboardWidth variable is rounded and inaccurate, instead of 1032 being the pixel count of the artboard bounds, 1030 is returned. Hello all     I am creating a layout in Illustrator 13.0.2 on a Mac and trying to use the Eurostile font I purchased at the Adobe font store. When using this font "Create Outlines" is greyed out and nothing I've tried has changed this. However, when I change the font "Create Outlines" returns to a viable selection. This leads me to believe the problem lies with the font. Embedding for this font is listed as "Preview & Print" at the Adobe store - it would seem this should be sufficient. I'm certainly no Illustrator expert but there isn't anything unusual about this document. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I've downloaded vector images from adobe stock, however, I cannot rearrange the design elements. When an object is moved it leaves a white gap on the background below. Is there something I am doing wrong?eg. In the adobe stock image number: 24511195, I'd like to remove the fairy and insert another vector element, however when the fairy is removed there is a white gap in the background.Also: In the vector image number: 141586926. I want to use the concentric background in another design, however when I remove the clouds the background layer has big gaps. Is there any fix for this?Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Now nothing will function within Illustrator. It will not open any files, I cannot create new files, view tools or workspaces. It's just a gray screen.

Illustrator crashes everytime I try to do something now. . .  

So the image I'm working with starts as a powerpoint image and is imported into Illustrator, and it looks great.  However, when I convert into a PDF, the image gets repeated on top of itself as the attached image shows.  Where are these extra images coming from and is there a way to remove them easily?

When I create a shape using the pen tool, and then fill with a gradient that has some opacity on some or all of the parts of the grad, a zig zag line appears around the edge which I can't get rid of. I went to'Apperence' and switched off the stroke, but this still didn't rectify the problem. Can anyone please help solve this issue? 

Hi all, I need to reach/export layer(s) medata as JSON etc. Coz I want to send data to another application with API and will use layer(s) data at other side. I could not find any extension related to exporting layer(s). Previously, I exported the file via using export file extension codes and sent the data to my app. I need same logic for layers. Do you have any advice to me? Many thanks

Hi all, can someone please help! I am doing colour seps from illustrator, postscript file. Never had an issue, but now when going through the process, it will only save one page (one colur ) and nt produce the rest of the seps (pages with sep colours). What is happening!!!!! Im doing the same process as Ive alwys done, so I cant seem to find whats happening. Please help!!!!

There is literally not a single firefly function, that is, generative fill or text to vector, this is not there. The latest version of illustrator is 28.71, while everything is fine in Photoshop, no problems. I tried using the Beta version of illustrator, reinstalling, installing other versions - nothing helped

Hi all, First understand that I'm a front-end web developer. I know very little about how to use Illustrator. I know that there are many better tools than Illustrator for web design, but it's not my decision. A graphic designer has created a design for me to implement, but the font size in the design is way too small. I brought this up with them and they said that the font size was set to 22px in Illustrator, which is an acceptable size for a web font, so I'm not sure what's going on. I have their file here and it's set up with an Artboard for 'iPhone 8/7/6' and the font size of the text is 22px. When I look at it onscreen in Illustrator I can fit about 12 words across the page. However on a normal web page when viewed on a mobile, you can only fit about 6 words across the page at that size.I have the same problem if I create new document in Illustrator, using the iPhone Artboard and try and write some text. I would like the Keyboard Increment value to be a percentage amount relative to the zoom. Currently, the value is a fixed unit of measurement which must be manually adjusted depending on the document size.
