Wie kann man im Illustrator Schriftmenue die Sortierung so ändern dass die aktive Schrift nicht an den Anfang springt, sondern in der alphabetischen Reihenfolge bleibt?

I'm hoping someone can help me with a bug I have been experiencing recently with the type on a path to tool in illustrator. Every time I try to paste on the path, it only paste the first word and not the rest of the text, it's like the rest of the text just completely disappears and the little red box with the + sign appears at the very end of the path but no other text can be seen. I was using a previous version of illustrator to create these which I've tried reinstalling to see if this solves a problem, but it didn't. I've tried Illustrator v28.6 as I read an artlcle that all bug fixes for path were fixed on that version but that didn't work either.  I feel like I've tried everything! I've spent hours going down rabbit holes trying to find a solution in the forums but nothing is working. Please help! I need to be able to use this function for my job and it's causing me a lot of problems.

I have fonts showing up in Illustrator (Noto Sans Javanese, Noto Sans Kannada, etc.) that are all symbols and I want to delete them from my font library. Unfortunately, Font Book is telling me that these fonts cannot be removed. These fonts are also not showing up in my cc typekit so I can't "deactivate" them. I don't understand... why would these completely useless fonts be restricted from being removed? There are like 30 of them and it's beyond frustrating having to scroll past them all when I'm looking for a different font. Not to mention the load time my font library takes... Adobe is telling me to remove the fonts that I don't use... but is not actually letting me remove the fonts I don't use. SO FRUSTRATING! Please help!

Hi everyone..    Mi Illustrator 2022 suddenly closed and I've lost an important document with a detailed hand made drawing I've done. Without realizing I skipped the "Open unsaved files" window that appears when you re open the program. So now, I got a lot of temporary files on the default folder but I cannot open any of them. As I suppose because of the file date, I selected the first one on the folder and renamed it adding .AI at the end. Windows now changed the file type and shows the AI file icon but illustrator wont open it. I'm getting a message saying the file is an unknow file format and cannot be opened.   I got a 300ppp image exported before closing on PNG format, that would be my Plan B but of course I want to take back my original file with the vectorial illustrations.   Would someone guide me on how to open those files? Opening them on Acrobad didn't work either. Thanks in advance   [renamed by mod]

No matter what colour profile I choose, I appear to be restrained to whatever gamut I am using for all of my Illustrator documents. This occurred with my new Illustrator 2020 install, and has not occurred before, even on this PC. It appears to affect any placed or copied images as well. How do I disable the gamut restrictions?

For consistancy sake, Spot Colors with LAB values are required for a set swatchs I'd like to share with a work group.  However, when the library is created and the LAB swatches are added, they convert to CMYK when used in a new file.  Maybe I'm doing somethign wrong, but was hoping someone might have had this same issue. Is there a way to ensure that the LAB values assigned to the Swatch(s) will remain as LAB and not convert to CMYK when shared via Library in Illustrator. I'm currently running AI 2022 26.5.2 Any help woudl be greatly approciated...so thansk in advance! 

See attached video. I just want to add a stroke to the images in my AI project but the stroke never shows. What's wrong? How do I get the stroke to show?

Can anyone help me learn how to use the technique in the photo? When I try doing with the blend tool it ends up overlapping and looking a mess.

I was unable to find a post with a similar problem, but I'm having some problems with text wrap. In the screenshot attached, you can see I have the construction text wrapped around my image. I would like to add a text box featuring a description of the picture but I can't figure out how to do so with the text wrap in effect. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have read through several pages on the Abode site about what to expect from the exam, and have even found a page to study material and practice tests. I am still a bit lost though. Of this study material, what do I really need to purchase? LearnKey? Brainbuffet? Both? I assume the practice test is not a bad idea, so I would purchase that. Hi there, I'm having problems with my colours and images dulling down when I'm trying to print. I've had to printer tech guy come out to calibrate the printer and he is baffled. I think my photoshop and illustrator is conflicting with colour settings? I have tried to create a new document with the photos in and tried again but I keep getting a message about previously being saved as CMYK. My photos in the images should be white but turning yellowish when printed. It's really driving me crazy. We got a new office printer and I've previously updated both photoshop and illustrator. any help would be muchly appreciated. thanks 🙂 [renamed by mod]

Hello, I have saved a portfolio with about 25 artboard pages into one file. It seemed to open up just fine acouple months ago and now when I come to view it, it doesn't fully show me the work just some outlines and photo boarders(blank white spaces too). Prior to this I have embeded all media links to ensure I can open up without being reliant on the links or open on other devices. I have a feeling it maybe because of file size but, another thing I think it might be is because my license ended and now that I have re purchased a new one it disrupted the file.    I have attached screenshots of the thumbnail which is what I want VS when I open the file, what my problem is.   [renamed by mod]

How can I add inner shaddow for text in illustrator?

I use symbols a lot, but suddenly one day they became very glitchy.More specifically, some symbols do not display when the file is saved as a pdf.When the pdf is opened in some other software, the symbols disappear. Same results on different computers, too.If the pdf still has preserved illustrator editing capabilities, the symbols display properly only when opened in Illustrator.If the pdf does not have illustrator editing capabilites, the symbols are gone when opened in illustrator too.if I save as an ai file with pdf support, I get the same problem when previewing the file or placing into an InDesign layoutif I tinker around, I can get some symbols to display but not all of them, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for why some display and others don't.if i export the file as a PNG, the symbols are all displayed properly, but this doesn't work for what I need. I need to be able to edit a file that supports symbols and then drop it into an InDesign layout.This is a probl

Nobody like yellow layer color. It should be disabled as one of the random automatic colors.Does anyone have solution for that? It is so obviously useless feature. It is as bad as making every 5th layer invisible by default or having red fill for every 5th text you create.

Hello - A couple of my colleagues don't have the visible “Library” option in the “Window” menu.However, several occurrences of certain palettes (eg. “comments”, "version history", ...) are visible. Cfr. the screenshot How is this possible?Is this a bug?  Thank you, enjoy your day.      - Dimitri

I have a client sending me a PDF, looks fine in Acrobat and Photoshop, but when opened in Illustrator there are items missing.  I have opened thei Indesign file and cannot see anything wrong, checked the layers are all set to print, overall i am at a loss and would appreciate any assistance.Thank you.I have attached the files in question

With all of the AI features that Adobe has been featuring lately, I've been hoping to see a solution to this inquiry, but so far I can't find any answers.I've been using the Libraries to store and use graphics that I create, which has been great - but individually naming, organizing, and adding tags to each asset has been really time consuming. Plus, it is impossible to get a truly comprehensive search when 1. Description fields have a 130 character limit and 2. Human error means that not all tags might be the most relevant for every search.For example: Let's say I have a graphic of an apple that I upload to my library. I can name the asset "Apple" and write the following keywords/tags in the description: "Fruit, Produce, Food", and that asset will only show up if any part of those keywords are typed in the search bar. However, if someone else using my library wants to look for something like an apple but searches a different word like "Grocery", the apple won't show up. What woul
