How do I change the ppi to dpi in AI CS6?

Okay, I have read many other posts on this subject and have tried everything to fix this issue. I can't seem to fix this. Simply put if I try to export as a PNG I keep getting a trasparnent line added to the top of the file. I to get a line on the lef side of the file unless I size up and extend past the art board. I'm looking for a script or something that will create a color chart based off of one color. I found this one, which is exactly what I need, but it has terrible reviews. SITL ColorChart PRO v2 (creativemarket.com)Demo: Color Chart Illustrator (youtube.com)I need it so that when the print profile on my printer isn't accurate, I can generate other colors to pick from once printed that would be more accurate. Any help appreciated!

Hi, I cannot open Illustator or InDesign from my Creative Cloud (iMac M1). I was using those app only a few days ago and everything was fine. I was trying the new AI tools. I have now use Creative Cloud Cleaning Tool and installed those apps again (for the 3rd time...) and still nothing. I can see innitiating window forever and Mac says Application not responding... What can I do now? 

Since updating to the latest version of Illustrator, I haven't attempted to use the freeform gradient tool. I've used the tool many times in the past, and usually I can find ways to work around any bugs that (often) pop up while using it. Today, I tried to use it for a project I'm working on, and I ran into an issue I've never experienced before. I can't seem to work around it, no matter what I try. I'm using the most recent version of Adobe Illustrator on Windows 11, and I also have the Astute Graphics plugins installed (mine is the free trial version; trial is still active right now so it's essentially functioning like the paid version would). My issue is with selecting multiple color stops on a freeform line gradient. When I hold down shift and try to click on multiple color stops, the cursor flickers rapidly and won't select more than one color stop. I've tried closing and relaunching Illustrator and making a new document, but neither fixed the issue. When

I am trying a couple of new things with the 3d and materials feature but once i go to render it, it just loads forever and then eventually crashes

Layer 2 containing with distant trees and far-off tombstones.Layer 3 containing with close-up tombstones and shadows.The results are not as expected. There are ony 2 layers produced. Is this a restriction of the current technology or are there a resources for creating prompts. 

Can you help how to solve this problem of mine which is a bit annoying, because when I zoom out on the artboard, the details become stripes or lines like on the right side, but the details SHOULD BE on the left side. Thank you.   

I grouped all in cad. But when I open it on AI, all groups were cancelled. I have to re-group them again. But the dxf file works on old version of AI. Is anything wrong with my settings? How to fix this?

Yes the path is closed, so whats the reason it wont fill?wether its a path i drew or a drag and draw circle tool...

Hi there! A few days ago my Illustrator 2024 starts acting weird. After saving as PDF any document with or whitout texts, the result is a blank page. If I try to use the "save as web", it occurs an unknown problem and it doesn't work. As I need to address the problem fast, I downloaded a beta version of the program and it worked a couple of days, but now it has the same problems. It happened with different documents, all of them, is not a random problem. I tried to remove the PDF settings folder renaming it as Old Settings and creating a new one but the probem persists. Any help will be appreciated. 

Hi. I'm getting an error about plug-ins, when I start Illustrator.(see attached pictures)When I start I first get the error about a plug-in and the get 2 more "unknown" errors, and then Illustrator actually starts up and is useable.I've tried every surgested fix, including a clean install, using the Adobe cleaning tool, removing ALL Adobe programs.

In the following image you can see the poor quality I get when printing from Illustrator vs the result I get when printing from anywhere else, such as the Mac previewer for example.It doesn't matter what you print, vectors or text, or the type of paper. Every time I print from Illustrator the quality is simply bad, you can see how it leaves the edges. - Macbook Pro M1- Mac OS 14- Illustrator: I have the latest version as of today, June 7, but the problem has been happening for two years.

Since I have my new Mac mini with M2 processor, Illustrator is very slow to select text (Up to 5 seconds and more) or if I select an object and move it, it never moves instantly, but reacts also after a very long time.Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

help - all my layers on illustrator have suddenly turned transparent

Each time I launch Illustrator on my laptop, I get prompted to renew my subscription despite already having one. Then whenever I click the "Renew now" button, it tells me "Illustrator is ready to use." before going back to the same "Renew now" screen. This issue is URGENT!!

So I'm hoping someone here can help me with a slight issue I'm having when it comes to viewing vs printing a multipage document in Illustrator. When I print up the pdf, it prints up with the part seen highlighted on the example 1 image. But when I open the file in illustrator, that part is missing and it looks like the example 2 image. Can anyone please tell me how I can make that highlighted part show up in my workspace view?  

Im trying to export as a SVG file and whenever i try and do that the the image changes. The font no longer stays where it is supposed to be and the outline and inside of the font are no longer in line. so it looks like it is on the iamge twice now. (See uploaded image)How do i fix this!I need it exported into a vector file as i am sending it to a print shop to be put on tshirts and they need it in a vector file. Im very new to illustrator and truly have no clue what im doing!

HI- I loaded a font family with many weights in Adobe fonts. They all show up in InDesign but half are missing in Illustrator. I spent an hour on the phone with 2 tech support folks who had me uninstall, reboot, etc a few times and still can't get this to work. Does anyone have suggestions? The font is Poppins.

Bonjour je viens de relever un bug dans illustrator,Quand j'importe un visuel à 100% dans illustrator j'ai bien un affichage de l'import à 100%  pour l'echelle dans la palette liens. (voir copie d'ecran en pj). Quand je fais un enregistrement en pdf du meme document sans modifier le visuel ou le % d'import quand j'ouvre le pdf dans illustrator il est passé à 24% en echelle...Avez vous deja eu ce bug? Merci pour votre aide 

I tried to create a "button" in Illustrator using slices and hyperlink (also tried hiding the adress behind the button as a text layer), then saved it as a PDF, creating sort of a business card that people can be directed to main medias and contacts just with this file. The hyperlink works fine when using on pc, but I cant make it work on Acrobat for mobile. What am I missing or need to do? {Renamed by MOD}

when i export png, why choice art optimized and type optimized difference?
