Hi All, I am writing a simple C++ plugin to display the number of art boards and their names using latest 2025 SDK. how come some artbaords got the same number? is it a bug or i messed something? 

Looks like Illustrator forgot how to do its job. Currently on 29.1 as the latest version has completely messed up all my mechanical files with it's loopy font replacement bug. Nothing has had me looking forward to retirement more than not having to use this software to make a living. Unfortunately, I'll be working until I drop, and maybe it will be because of all the daily stress I endure using this nightmare app.

Everytime you update it basically makes this program crash more and more.. It's like as soon as you guys get it right you mess it up the next week.. I've had 4 crashes right now in less than 15 mins while using graphic styles.. it's always something each and every week.. ENOUGH ALREADY!*My machine is up to date and only 12 months old.. 

Modern programs like Sketch and Figma have auto-height text boxes that grow in height as the copy increases. Can we adopt this feature in Illustrator?

Navigator is non functional, not sure when it began, fairly recently.Clicking anywhere on navigator while zoomed in just starts scrolling the artboard down slowly.Previously clicking on a section in navigator would take me to that region of the artboard, now it just slowly scrolls the main view in the opposite direction to where i've clicked in navigator.Latest version of Windows 10 64Latest version of Illustrator

Hi, Im currently working with "Playwrite CC Việt Nam" font. For some reasons the font displays differently in Illustrator than it does in Adobe Font. I tried the font in Photoshop and it still displays correctly. (according to the attached images) Any help on this matter? I need to hand the file over to my client tomorrow. Thank you so much! Buongiorno,da diversi giorni sto riscontrando un malfunzionamento con lo strumento di selezione, che non mi consente di ridimensionare o ruotare gli oggetti, e con lo strumento di selezione diretta, che non mi permette di modificare i tracciati.L'unica soluzione temporanea che ho trovato è disinstallare il programma e installare una versione precedente, ma il problema si ripresenta poco dopo.potreste gentilmente aiutarmi a risolvere questa situazione?

So blends have some annoying, unconfigurable behavior: if you have open paths in your blend then Illustrator won't automatically create a blend spine, and it insists on checking "knockout group" on the blend, which I almost never want. I have a script that attempts to work around this. It saves the open/closed state of every selected path, makes them all closed, calls object>blend>make, unchecks knockout group, and attempts to restore the original open/closed state (but this doesn't seem to take any more). Then it calls object>blend options. Because I almost inevitably do that after creating a blend. And this is where things get weird: the instant I start poking at the options in that window, everything my script did is *undone*. Hi! I'm trying to create an automated sequence for my artwork on Illustrator, but my Variables Panel doesn't even have the IMPORT button, so, I can't do nothing from here... Anybody facing these issues could help me? I can't start importing. Using Ai CC 2018 on iMac Mojave.See Screenshot below:

Good day, I would need someone's help for this issue since I am working on a file that can't handled, every time I used to work on it, and also once I try to save it.   I have assigned right preference to GPU, I have on board Nvidia 3050 6gb.   Cpu is I7 13 gen, with 64 ram ddr4, well I am wondering what's the wrong with Illustator and maybe its setting, as I am pressed to reliazied my job asap for University.   Tks for all help everyone can give to me and assistance on this issue, as I need it quite urgently.   I got one Year subscription with Adobe Illustrator but I am not able to use it.   Many thanks in advance   Deborah Briganti

I remember having difficulties saving it when I was working on it, saying it "tried to save it but failed" I ended up saving it without getting an error message (by unticking the "create a PDF friendly verion" in the save option) but didn't check on the file, thinking everything was OK. Now, I just can't open it. Upon opening the file, adobe illustrator says it can't open the file correctly, can only read it partially and will try to retrieve elements in it. then, it opens and I only get a text box with text saying the file was not saved using a PDF option and all... If anyone can help.  I used to do it but now, i can't copy as SVG from photoshop to illustrator, why ? it show me link error when i paste it

I've encountered a serious problem with an Illustrator file containing a large amount of work that I cannot afford to lose. After my most recent save of the file, I'm no longer able to open it. When I try to open the file, I get a message that  "Illustrator could partially open this file. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file." When I click "Open," I get a second message that says"Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties. Object label badly formatted. I made a 3D object by extrusion. I then chose to Expand appearance. It is supposed to create an object with editable shapes. The result is not made of different shapes. Illustrator 26.0.1

I am returning to AI after a few years.  I am have two curves that meet, and am trying to flatten out a point at the top.  I can't seem to figure out how to show the corner widgets (if that is right approach)Also, I tried to attach the actual ai file, but it wouldn't let me??  

I have  a shape I made.  I have it in a layer above a grid I made using the rectangular grid tool.I was able to clip the lines but I lost the outline of the shape.  I am sure  I could paste one back in, but I want to know what I am doing wrong.  You can see the outline because everything is still selected.  But if I deselect it, the outline is gone.

I don't know what the enhancements are in 29.6, but there is a bug with rotating and scaling illustrations that have gradients. Radial gradients suddenly scale drastically in a non uniform fashion when moving in rotation or scaling in constrained x or y axis.       <Title renamed by MOD>

I am having some very weird issues in Illustrator, going back as far version 27.  At absolutely random times when I am working on a vector file (could be simple flat art like a logo or a more complex file with multiple layers and content), when I press CMD Y to go into Outline Mode, and then go back to Preview Mode, it works absolutely fine (screenshot 1).  Then, while still in the same file, I could work for a while, then go back into Outline Mode again, then back into Preview Mode at which point the issues appear and persist (screenshot 2). When this happens, the resizing/dragging/clicking (basically almost any function) slows down, becomes very jerky, I lose some resize handles on thebounding box (as well as other weird artefacts and issues) and I have to save the file, close it, then restart Illustrator, and then the same file works just fine.    Screenshot 2 is what the issues look like when I go Preview to Outline then back to Preview.Screenshot

It was an exciting challenge at the intersection of code and the magic of the Appearance panel, which resulted in a script.OffsetObjects — free automatic offset creation for any objects in Adobe Illustrator  The problem:Illustrator’s built-in Object → Path → Offset Path works only with vector paths. While developing a new illustrator plugin I have been trying to get the plugin tool to use smart guides while click-dragging. Have not been able to get this right yet but now I seem to have corrupted the normal ruler guide system. Whenever I drag out a ruler guide the current fill and stroke are both reset to none. Have removed the plugin but this outcome persists. How do I get the guides to not affect the current fill/stroke settings? I have tried clearing the Illustrator cache and resetting Illustrator to original settings but the problem persists.Also, any suggestions on how to get the smart guides to work with my plugin would be greatly appreciated.
