Lately it hapens, that AI converts regular text to outlines when copy-pasting it to another document.if I drag it to a new document it doesnt change. I've had a similar problem with text on paths for quiete some time, but this is new. Drives me mad and makes AI unusable.

Hi everyone! I have a problem. I have a free trial, i downloaded the pack to install Adobe Ill . and when i introduce my email, it shows up a prohibited icon . i barely put my email there with the tab tast. But i can`t click continue. Why?

Hi, I'm trying to export my design to PDF, and the black looks fine in Illustrator, however when I export as PDF some of the blacks turn to grey. I have rich blacks turned on in Illustrator preferences, I tried high quality print and checked no conversion and include all profiles, none of that changed anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! I need to make an illustration based of an output made by AI, that came out of brainstorming in my company. It includes a spiral that is made out of binary code. It is also kinda shining and flowing around a superhero. I need help as to.. How to create this kind of element in Adobe illustrator. This element (some sort of stream of code or data will be present even in other pics of the series... I know how to draw some simple illustrations, and work with basics like gradients etc or putting objects on a path.. But with this I´m lost 😞 Big thanks for any advice!! Note: We are making it in Illustrator since we need it in a very big scale later. 

It's Sept 25, 2024, and Adobe Illustrator 28.7.1. still has the duplicate-artboard-numbering bug. Good news: The solution I've found that still works since AI 26 of yore is to quite AI, restart machine, open the AI file of issue, and voila - the artboard numbers are in the correct sequence. Bad news: You still have to deal with it.

Meu macbook é de 2010 e ate semana passada estava pegando a versão de 2019 do illustrator, mas ele parou e precisou ir pra assistência. Infelizmente tive que baixar todos os apps novamente, e o illustrator simplesmente não baixa mais e não sei o que fazer...também não aparecem as versões antigas. Hello,In Illustrator, I occasionally run into an issue where creating a new file doesn't work. Both the keyboard shortcut and the menu command become unresponsive.At first, I thought the "New File" window might be opening off-screen — but that doesn’t seem to be the case, since I can still edit the file I was previously working on without any problems.The only solution is to save all open files and restart Illustrator, which interrupts my workflow.Is there a fix for this?Best regards,Frans

I have an Illustrator file that contains some text*. I enabled Show Hidden Characters and noticed that they only appear in certain text boxes, while others don’t display them. When I switch to Outline View, the hidden characters are visible in all text boxes. If I move a text box around, the hidden characters briefly appear, but then disappear again once I stop moving it. This wasn’t an issue when I previously worked on the file on the 10th. I’ve attached a screenshot showing both Preview and Outline View. In Preview, the top text displays the hidden characters correctly, but the bottom bulleted list** does not. In Outline View, however, all the text shows hidden characters. Restarting Illustrator and adjusting settings/styles hasn’t fixed the issue.  * I’m aware that InDesign is more suitable for text-heavy documents, but this setup was requested by the manufacturer.** The bulleted list was created manually, not using Illustrator’s built-in bullets feature.

Hello, I have paths inside a layer and when I entered the isolation mode (double clicking until reaching my path in the hierarchy), I couldn't use the 'Collect in new layer' option from the layer's panel.So, I was wondering why this happens, and if it is intentional, why we can't make it work in isolation mode.Thank you for reading! 

Here drop shadow is placed inside the text as well. I want this drop shadow is only outside the text border. How to do it? File is uploaded as well. Drop Shadow  

Can anyone tell me how I can achieve the efffect shown in the attached image in Illustrator?  Rather than rotate each dash individually it would be good to be able to find a quicker easier way.

Dear Adobe,As the tool description you wrote says, please make the Direct Selection Tool select ONLY anchor points and segments and NOT the entire shape/object.The reason one uses this tool is to make such adjustements. I accidentally select and move the entire shape multiple times when editing anchor points, before finally being able to move the point I want. One simple change > Massive workflow speed improvement and less frustration.WIn-Win!

Hi there,Another new bug to report on Adobe Illustrator 29.7.1 on a Mac running OS 13.7.5. I pasted some text into a text area box, and used the dropper to change the weight, only to find that the weight wouldn't change, or only would depending on the height and position of the text within a text area. All these new bugs never happened in the much more stable AI 2020. Here's a video showing this happen.If this can be fixed please.Many thanks!

After todays update to illustrator 29.8.1 my system fonts no longer appear in the flyout character window? what can I do to get this vital; feature back?   <Title renamed by MOD>  

Something weird just started happening where I set up my png sticker files for printing and the transparent backgrounds are being treated as white. Like I can't overlap the transparent outer edges of the designs because it's treated like a white square or rectangle, opposed to just the design. Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it? I included 2 pics, one showing the overlapping designs on the artboard and the other off the artboard. Thank you!

I need urgent help. I am currently using Illustrator 2021 and I cannot find the blur effect in the Effect tab. The Photoshop Effects group has also disappeared.

I tried assigned Keyboard Shortcuts to Expand & Expand Appearance. I have already assigned Ctrl+F1 to Expand. When I tried to assign Ctrl+F2 to Expand Appearance I got a warning sing. How to fix this?     

I use Illustrator files to send vector cutting paths to my Epilog laser machine. This problem is happening even if I try to send the file to a regular printer as well. I go to file-print and click print and I get an error dialogue box that says "The pages selected to print are all blank." This is a new issue. We had somebody create a custom app for us that takes PSDs that are black and white and create path oultines that get exported via export paths to illustrator. Then we open those paths and file-print and they always work. They still work on an old version of illustrator runing on windows xp ( I think, mabe vista). I just recently bought a new PC to update our system and am running the newest version of illustrator CC. The file works on the old windows/illustrator but not the new. Same exact file. Does anybody know how to solve this? Ive already tried resetting my illustrator preferences, made sure my layers have the "print" box checked, ive uninstalled and reinstalled illustr

Hi guys,  As the title suggests, I am currently trying to change the colour on the Trajan Color font. I am doing this, as I see it as a shortcut to create the depth to the text.  I have been watching a guide on youtube, which shows how to add colour to SVG text, which has worked up to the stage where I am trying to create a white and black balance on the colour balance window. What combination on the red, green, and blue mixer should I use to get me what I want?  Any help will be greatly appreciated! Cheers,NB
