I'm trying to remove a powerline from this image, and "traditional" methods (such as the healing tool in Lightroom) have failed -- they remove it, but it looks unnatural. Then I found this page from Adobe describing Photoshop's Generative Erase tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/express/using/remove-object-generative-fill.html and tried to follow along. I selected a brush and traced the line, but the Generate button never appeared. Bottom line: is there, in fact, any way to use this new tool to realistically get rid of this powerline? Thank you.

I want to download the beta version of Photoshop but I can't find it, I look for it in Creative Clouds and it's not there. Any advice on how to do it? I want to try using image generation from Photoshop

I am trying to understand what is going on image size-wise when I take an image from MacOS X (Sonoma 14.5) Photos [Version 9.0 (651.0.100)] which is, for example, 232 KB JPEG and select Photos>Image>Edit with>Photoshop Beta (25.10.0) and it arrives as 2.52 MB (same size of 938 pixels H and W; 72 ppi as in Photos). Then I edit it in Photoshop and Camera Raw Filter. I return to Photoshop and hit Save to return to Photos Application on the Mac. A window appears for JPEG Options, I select Quality of 10 Maximum and Format Options (I have tried Baseline Standard and Baseline Optimized) and hit OK.  The size of the image in Photos Application remains at 232 KB. I was wondering what happened to the changes in size of the image?If I export or Save As to my desktop and import back into Photos, the size is approximately the same 344 KB,  but in Photoshop it was in MB. Alternatively, if I enlarge the size in Photoshop via Image>Image Size by changing the resolution to 20

Hello The June 7th, 2024 Beta version of Photoshop for Desktop has a new checkbox in the Reference Image fly-out.Remove Background- will automatically identify the area behind the subject in your Generative Fill Reference Image and remove it so you get better results. This addresses one of the main Reference Image problems of unwanted areas in the Reference Image appearing in the variations. Remove Background is available in the Reference Image fly-oout for Generative Fill and Generative Expand - which uses the content of the image.  It is not available or applicable for Generative Image, which uses a Style Reference Image. Select Subject technology is behind this feature and it uses mode set by your current preference (Local vs Cloud)(Settings > Image Processing: "Select Subject and Remove Background") . Select Subject detects and selects the most obvious subject(s) in your image. How well does that work for your Reference Images? Please give it a try!Let us know if the Rem

Hi all,I'm trying to enhance some visuals by integrating them into a more attractive background. I start with an object in a white background and I create a generate fill around. The process works fine except that sometimes the object itself is modified and I would like to prevent that.Is there something I can add into the prompt or an option to enable somewhere that could help me with this? If I take for example the picture of a bike, generative fill tends to add things that are not there like additional spokes, additional cables, ...Any idea?Thanks 

The storage on my device drops by a few GB everytime I use generative fill. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and has found the answer to why this is happening. My main concern isn't just that it's using a lot of space for each time you hit "GENERATE". The issue is that I don't know where on my device I could go to clear up the space used

Since about 2 PS Beta updates ago I began experiencing a very irksome BUG that activates the entire FOLDER when a nested layer is selected on the screen - not the layers panel.  I am a 10+ year user of PS and the beauty in a WYSIWYG software is being able to directly select an asset on the design and edit it, I easily got used too - and greatly appreciate - the update that reveals an item as you hover over the various layers, but a few updates after this update, I would click on that highlighted layer (even at times removing visibility of layers in front to be able to select the layers in the back of it) and the bezier ctrl+t handles appear, but upon clicking to move THAT SPECIFIC ELEMENT, every thing in that folder moves!  Then I gotta engage 49 extra microinteractions just to go back and and be forced to FIND and SELECT that layer.    THIS IS VERY INCONVENIENT.  Please fix this and release my layers PLEASE.

I occasionally have issues with the transform tools using raster masks. Lately my issue has been that the raster mask will not link to the original image. I create a selection, try to move the selection, and the mask doesn't move with the selection even if the layer and the mask are linked. And it's not like I can make a selection and then activate both the main layer and the mask layer to "move them as one"Any tips?Beta Version 25.10.0, m.2632, so even though I'm all caught up the issue persists

I've been using beta for a few weeks, including the perspective warp feature. Out of nowhere it is now no longer working. I select the layer -> edit -> perspective warp -> change size -> hit enter to adjust and it crashes every time.

Upon trying to use the liquify brush in Beta it does not work on two independent PCs. It says "...file locked..." The file is not locked. The 2024 version works fine. Win 11 Current

I had scanned a transparency with a series of vertical lines on it. I needed to get the exact size of the lines so I wanted to crop the image and straighten it. When I did this, I was finally able to get it to look straight enough. When I clicked on the Arrow key or Command-Alt-Shift-Click to drag my canvas around to get a better look, suddenly everything is undone. If I cropped the image (not straightened) before I press enter to accept the crop, selecting the arrow performs the crop like it should The same needs to be true when you straighten an image from the crop tool. Rather than undoing the half hour I spent getting it aligned correctly, just accept the crop and apply it when I click the arrow or try to zoom in or out using my keyboard.

cant save files to cloud documents — it was working a few days ago, now it doesnt

Problems first started cropping up when I tried to update from Photoshop 25.9 to the latest version (25.10). Installing gets to 1% and then quickly fails. No amount of clicking "retry" can get past this. I've tested with other apps with mixed restults. Apps installing and updating without issue include:AuditionCamera RawMedia Encoder Apps failing during install include:Photoshop BetaPremiere ProAfter Effects  Here are a list of steps that I've attempted.Ensured that all Adobe apps (other than the Creative Cloud app) are closed before attempting the install.I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Creative Cloud app.I've uninstalled the Photoshop Beta App and attempted to re-install, but the failiure still occurs.I've attempted to install a previous version of the app but the failiure occurs regardless of version selected.I even followed advice found in another post that said that when encountering the same issue, they made sure that Camera Raw was updated first bef

I have relied 'intensively' on photoshop for the past twentyfive years or more. Similarly, so have a considerably number of friends, colleagues and 'shareholders' and the general consensus (albeit a small number of forums) is that photoshop is becoming increasingly unreliable, issues particularly related to partner support (hardware and software; specifically zbrush). I can verify this across the four platforms of computer I use (Surface pro / desktop #1 / desktop #2 and laptop). This amounts to loss of work, time and income. Not to mention heartache, frustration and a profound sense of disloyalty / disservice to the customer / user. The increase in price seems to correspond with the very same decrease in reliability. Many of my colleagues are migrating to Krita (free), despite the compatibility issues. (other source: 1,428 already agree). What do you say?

As the title reads, my photoshop beta keeps crashing out of the blue. I cant seem to find any specific reason, it just happens very often and at any time. I dont even get an adobe "error promp", only a system window saying "Adobe photoshop application quit unexpectedly".When I try to press "Send report...", nothing happens? This has been happening for a few months now and it does not seem to matter if I updrage/reinstall photoshop. I have also tried resetting preferences when you boot up the application.This does not happen with any other adobe application, only Photoshop Beta. Im working on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 and Photoshop Beta version 25.10, but as I said this has been happing for some time now, even with earlier versions of Ps Beta and before I installed Sonoma.

I created an image of a beach, and while requesting to show monkeys, it added images of 4 black kids. Upon asking to add kids, it added 4 black kids. Upon asking the program to add kids, it added another black kind.

Can anyone help me? Beta is slow on my Macbook retina 2017.once i turn on my wi-fi, the photoshop beta becoms very slow and it also takes a lot of time for it to GENERATE a prompt 

Hi, is it possible to download the Photoshop Beta installer directly from Adobe's website? Installing via cloud center always throws error 146 for me, no matter what tutorials I've tried on the internet on how to fix this.

Hi,Why did adobe remove the function Force in PHOTOSHOP and ILLUSTRATOR Beta ?This is very useful for generating an image and testing effects on it.For the moment, I use Fireflly 3 to access this function.Thanks.

Have PShop Beta.  Editing in it and I find that all my actions are gone.  Only default in there.  I had lot of them when using PShop pre beta.  Where did my actions go??  TIA  George

Say I have an image in another style, like pixel art, and I want Photoshop to generate a digital painted version of the same image. Can it do that? And if so, how? Because it should totally be a feature. I'd love to use it for things like logo generation. Or maybe they are features coming soon.

I can no longer change the print quality settings... I'm using Mac Sonoma 14.5.  I have deleted the printer, reinstalled, deleted the folder in my library , reinstalled drivers, restarted my computer, made sure photoshop was updated and everything...Help!!
