Hello everyone, new elements user here coming from Picasa I've installed elements 2022 and ran the import, selecting a netword drive on my home setup herethe name of the network location I imported from was: \\readyshare.routerlogin.com\Seagate Backup Drive\PHOTOS  (please see screenshot 1) - everything imported just fine THEN, I set up a watched folder, so that anything I dumped into that \PHOTOS folder in the future would be imported automatically to the existing structure. I selected the EXACT location for my watched folder. In other words, the same folder I ran the initial import from \readyshare.routerlogin.com\Seagate Backup Drive\PHOTOS In doing a test, I created a new folder under \readyshare.routerlogin.com\Seagate Backup Drive\PHOTOS (named 1967-test) in windows explorer and placed an image in there to see if elements would pick it up and import it.  It did, but it appears it has created another identical location and is now listed twice. Photoshop Elements 15 QuestionsAfter making the mistake of forgetting that PSE 15 was on my computer (Windows 10) and needing more room on my (C) drive, I moved all my photos to an external drive (this was outside of the organizer).  Of course, when I later opened my catalog in the organizer, all 12,000 pictures were disconnected.  Many of my pictures had been moved several times to where the pathway to find them might be something like: C/Users/Owner/Documents/Photoshop elements back/users/Adcock/Pictures/MP Navigator EX/Russell Adcock I think this was so convoluted that PSE 15 could not find the pictures by itself. So, I painstakingly spent several .  weeks reconnecting the photos manually using the Browse function.  The actual files were found all over the place on my computer.  So, after finding and reconnecting them I did a backup to an external hard drive (E).   drive. I could open them a couple days ago.  Then today I could only hear the audio not see the video.  These are clips from an iphone.  When I searched for an answer I saw that Quicktime 7 was no longer supported.  So I deleted Quicktime 7 and downloaded Quicktime 7.7.9, and now they won't work at all.  Does anyone have a solution?

I purchased a new MacBook Pro and installed my Adobe software.  During my upload from camera cards, the system automatically started uploading all the pics from my iPhone.  I was planning to do this, but not in the way that it was done.  There were so many, the software split them into around 20-30 folders.  I moved the pics all into one folder that now contains around 6000 images.  Every time I go to that folder, the Organizer bogs down and will not even scroll through the folder.  I want to be able to edit some of these images and am not able to.  When I go to the tree view, this folder is a sub, sub folder.  Do I need to delete this folder and start over or is there another way to resolve this problem?

I bought photoshop and premiere elements a good couple years back now, using it on and off, and I haven't used it for a while. Every time I try open it, it asks me for the activation code, I have put this in numerous times previously, then rather foolishly lost whatever the code was written on, so I dont have access to it anymore. Is there any way anyone either at adobe or from my end that this can be recovered as I have purchased it and activated it before, but can no longer get in?Much appreciated.

For some reason Elements is finding and cataloging the backup fills on any attached harddrive and seems to be replacing the original file.  When I filter for a person the backup file appers, many time in duplicates, and the original is no where to be found.  I have 30+ thousand photos and 76,000 photos cataloged.

HiI am currently testing the 30 days version 2022.When importing a directory with photos, there seems to be a problem after > 5000 images.The folder in the network on a NAS.The program stops, the display does not change Image ....  5120 of 10360No more action possible.After waiting a while the program is suddenly closed too.Does anyone know if the import has limits?- from a network- Number of imagesGreeting Ottmar

I am very new to the community.  I am trying to upgrade my Photoshop Elements 10 to 2022.  While in the way, I have asked this discussion community a question about the product, and later received a private email from someone saying:  (You can Directly send Email to our Adobe Customer Care Team Email Address:- <scammer's email address removed> and they will help you via Email).  So, I sent my second inquiry about whether PE 2022 supported Arabic to this address.  I got a response from the same address suggesting to me “Photoshop CS 6 Perpetual License ME Enabled version” for $399.99.  Will this be a legitimate package?  Can this person be from Adobe team?  I have done some search on the PS CS 6 and read some threads on it, and found this, “Adobe stopped selling CS6 entirely several years ago. photoshop elements 2021 organizer and editor will not launch in windows 10. purchased from microsoft store few months ago and has been working ok until today when the only screen i can get to is the home screen.  i noticed there is now 2022 added to the name.  How do i fix this issue?  Seems that there are many others with similar issues.  

Does Elements 2022 work with Windows 11 without the "Cloud"?

I have Elements on a laptop and a desktop. I can paste an image into PSE on my laptop and there are bounding box handles to resize the image whenever I select the image. On my desktop, the bounding box handles only appear when the image is initially pasted in. After that when I select the image there are no bounding box handles, I can only move the image. I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere I don't know about. Thanks.

I was looking to purchase a Wacom graphic tablet and sudenly thought what if I can use my new Samsung A6 tablet insted?Has anyone managed to do this and if so how please.If I do decide to go with a dedicated graphic tablet which one would you recommend under £100 Thanks  Ian

Hi there, I am trying to install Elements 15 on to a new iMac M1 version 12.1 Monterey. I have downloaded it but it says "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information." I am trying to move my catalog to a new computer (from Mac OS 10.15/Elements 2020 to Mac OS 10.15/Elements 2020). I have backed up the catalog to an external drive after ensuring that there are no missing files.On the new Mac, I select the directory to restore from and specify a destination directory. The option "Restore Original Folder Structure" is checked.I get an error, "The disc in drive LaCie does not contain a valid backup."  Note: the prompt says "Backup File", but the interface only lets me select a directory; Backup.tly DOES exist in the selected directory.A previous response to a post about restore for Elements 19 - "https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements/elements-organizer-19-backup-quot-drive-does-not-contain-a-valid-backup-quot/td-p/10319924" - noted that the user had to select the actual Backup.tly file in order to get it to work. I list vintage large format reproduction photographs (scans from original negatives that I have spent years collecting) on ebay that I have spent a considerable amount of time "cleaning up" and enhancing. Ebay does not allow watermarks. Anyone can right click on my photos and create/print their own copy. I read somewhere, but now can't find it, instructions on how to create a "hidden" invisible watermark layer that cannot be seen except when someone right clicks on your photo to copy it. Then it becomes the layer that they are copying, not your actual photograph. Does anyone know how to do this? I am using Photoshop Elements 15. Thank you.

Trying to do an incremental backup (Already have a full  backup)Did not have to reconnect missing files (had None) .  Select Destination drive :os (c).  Then backup path c:\Previous Backup:  c:\photoshop job\backup .  The hit save backup.    Working fine until I get his error code:Error encountered while writing Files  c\Program Data\adobe\Elements organizer\catalog\Job\catalog.pse 18db.  Tried repair and then optimized catalog. That worked fine.  One article said to convert it but this catalog was made with the new elements program.  When I did try to convert it a dialog box opens to choose the file to convert from and there wasnt any there.  I can browse it but what do I convert it from.So if you have any ideas as to what is going on  I would appreciate any help,  Thank you

I made the mistake of opening and saving a file through Photoshop Elements on my NAS and now Photoshop refuses to even launch unless I have my NAS connected. I have cleared the recent list in hopes of rectifying the issue, but that did not work. This is pretty silly to begin with. Why would the program not launch if it cannot connect to a network drive. Even if there was a file in the recent list there is no reason it should need access to that drive unless I wanted to open the file. As of now, it will just bounce in the start bar until you forcequit throwing a "cannot connect to drive" error. Note: This is only on the appstore version, 2019. I have an older version I still run on my windows machine and it does not have this issue. Anyway, I know this will not help me now as I have 2019 and this will not be patched, but at least someone at Adobe can fix this issue in future version to save other people the trouble.

I had to reformat my computer in Dec 2021 after a scam.  I have the installation files for my Adobe Elements 19 programs, but when I try to install them, it says I have to upgrade to Windows 11.  This computer isn't compatible with Windows 11.  The two programs were previously installed on this computer.  Isn't there some way to put them back on?  Worked fine before.  

I have some photos (HEIC, Apple iPhone) that have the following dates filled while stored on my Windows 10 PC: Date created: 27-05-2021 (probably changed when saving to the pc back then)Date Modified: 19-03-2021Date taken: 19-03-2021 I open Adobe Elements Organiser 2022 (part of my brand new purchased Photoshop/Premiere bundle) and go to Import and then Files and Folders. I browse to this photo and import it in my catalog. After installing Photoshop Elements 2022 more my laptop Microsoft Edge crach regularly even if Photoshop is not running. Got an error message that msedgewebviewer2.exe stopped working. Edge will not start again until the pc is restarted. After starting the laptop again it repeats. After uninstalling Photoshop Elements 2022 everything works again without any problems. Running Windows 11 Pro 64.Had the same problem also before upgrading from windows 10. Had an earlier version of Photoshop Elements down loaded as an Microsoft app earlier but that version is uninstalled. Can there be old program files that needs to be removed?
