Questions

I have Elements 15  I cannot save edits.  When I try, the program simply goes back to the original picture,  I have received a window stating that "the requested change could not be completed because the current catalog is corrupt.  You can attempt a repair in the File- >Catalog...Dialog".  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program...and the corrupted organizer contents are still there!  I should =d have been deleting folders from the organizer once done working on them but did not, and now the program will not let me delete the folders.  What do I do to fix this?

I am just learning Elements 13, but have my photo just as I want it, except that the background is black.  It was blue, but I somehow made it black without trying,  I have read and watched tutorials, but can't get color in the background.  I have tried so many things, to no avail. Short of starting over from the beginning, what can I do?  I must have messed up the layers.  I would really appreciate any help.

I have backed up my PE catalog but there are the same plus more of the same photos in the Adobe/Elements folder. There are also a lot of duplicates in this folder. Can I safely delete the entire folder and be able to backup or restore My Catalog? Pat

I am having another problem with Photoshop Elements 2021. I clicked on the move/copy option. No matter if I selected Move or copy, and then clicked NEXT, there was nothing in the white box. No destinations to anything, just a blank white box. How am I supposed to move or copy anything with a blank box? I am using windows 10 with firefox.

I am new to real estate photography and I'm wondering if it's possible to use elements to create a layer with a layer mask to lighten up over exposed windows. It appears most photographers use Lightroom/Photoshop to do this. Does anyone know of this is possible with Elements?

Hello,The import function sorts the elements by file creation date as opposed element capture date. In case the elements have been copied from a disk to another, they all have the same file creation date. So when importing, the result is that all elements have the same date in the catalog.I want to import and sort by element capture date (date and time when the picture was actually taken). This information is embedded in the picture. Windows Photo can sort by picture capture date.Can Organizer 2021 do that ?For the moment I have a catalog with all picture dates set to january 7, 2021. I can't use it.I have not found an aswer in the posts on the same subject. Many thanks for your help.

I'm using PE 2018.  I restored My Catalog from the backup.  I have about 25,500 pictures on my PC all catagorized by year. I also had tagged all photos in PE by year. When I restored it made two batches,  one from 1899 to 2002 with 5,678 photos, all properly tagged.  The rest don't appear until I click on the next year, 2003 to 2020 and they show up in a separate batch, for a total of about 19,968 making a grand total of all pictures in PE of 25,666.  All photos in these two batches are tagged, just the way I made them.  When I try to delete, import or edit any photos, I get an error message. I tried a repair which didn't help. The Adobe directory shows 35,163 items. I don't know what to do now. Should I delete all pictures in Organizer and Adobe and try to restore again? Pat

Hi, I activated photoshop elements 15 on my laptop but I cannot activate it on my desktop. says 'used by max amount of computers'. I m afraid to pull the software from my laptop, fearing it wont activate on the desktop. Impossible to register the software on my account eventho I own the CDs with real serial # (secondhand)How to register this software in order t o activate it on my 2 computers? Thank youVince

My old Macbook died and I am unable to download the this program onto my new Macbook.   I have the original disc but it will not let me install it.  All I get is "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information."  Is there anything I can do? 

The Windows computer I had Elements installed on died - the OS will not boot and nothing I do makes it work. I was able to access the hard drive from another computer, with it connected as a USB drive. So, I have access to all the files from the old computer, but I cannot open and then back up Elements on the old computer because it will not boot. Is there a way to copy the files from the old hard drive over to the new hard drive, to make Elements use the old catalog? Everything I've found references using a backup and restore, or converting. I have been able to get Elements installed on the new computer with no issues. Thanks for any help!

I have a very large photo collection (50,000+ photos), which is organized into chronological folders. I recently tried importing a new folder to Elements and the vast majority of the photos will not display. Instead, a gray icon appears (of a document with a rip on the bottom right). This has not ever happened before (all other photos appear fine). I never add photos saved from social media (they are all from my DSLR camera or phone camera). Additionally, I cannot figure out a common variable for the photos that will not display. Some of the photos from my phone are displaying correctly, while others are not. Some very large files are not displaying while others are not. The only commonality is that all of the ones not displaying come from the same recent folder. I have tried deleting that folder from Elements and reimporting it (twice) but that has not worked. I have tried closing out the program and restarting my computer. I also upgraded from Elements 2019 to 2021 thinking that

Nach Installation sind ohne mein Zutun viele Ordner da. Die enthalten mal 1 und mal zig Fotos (über 15 Jahre gestreut). Die Ordner heißen 0 und noch mal 0 (4x!) oder 00, 00 oder ABx etc. , nur manchmal wird der Name des Ordners von Apple Foto übernommen. Woran liegt das? Und kann ich die alle löschen und einen normalen Import selber anstoßen?

I have a new Dell laptop and I installed Photoshop Elements 11. When the program loads it is tiny. I can't read any of the font rendering it unusable. My computer is a Dell XPS 13 9350 Signature Edition running Windows 10 Home edition. I tried updating, but that didn't help at all with this issue. Any suggestions?

Hello,Can someone please help. This is a new issue for me.When I open the application (and it's never done this before) the screen resolution is very tiny - I cannot read it it's so tiny. No Photos displayed in elemements folder. I tried importing photos and importing is grayed out and not allowing me to import photos from photos from my folders wiith the foldes on my hard drive. Inporting is greyed out in all my computer folders. My view files is set to view all filss and hidden files are set to view all hidden files. using Elements 2020 - just had an update a couple of weeks ago and now the program locks up about once a day---- anyone else having this issue ----- it usually does it when I am adding an effect to a clip.... thanks   h. gibbs

I've done system restore but only a small portion of my photos show up under Media.  However when I try to import those that are missing I get an error message.   When I look at My Catalog on the computer all of the pictures are there but they aren't showing up in Elements Organizer!  I tried a repair which didn't help. I don't know what to do now. Should I delete all pictures in Organizer and try to restore again? Pat

I haven't updated my Mac OS for quite a while, so when I upgraded to Big Sur my Elements version 8 has now stopped working as it's not compatible. I've tried to see if there was any kind of upgrade as I paid over £100 for the software when new, and all I can see is to buy it again for £85. Why should I pay to buy it again when it was working just fine until I upgraded my OS last night? What are my actual options? Is there a free upgrade, or even a discounted upgrade to a newer version? I'm really annoyed that this software doesn't work anymore just because I decided to upgrade the OS. Thanks in advance. 

I am trying to upload RAW files from my Nikon z6ii into Photoshop Elements (the 2021 version).I previously had PSE 13, so I purchased the upgrade (so that I did not have to convert to DNG). I also made sure I have updated Camera Raw to the latest version (13.1).But when I go into PSE and try to open my images, I still get the error message "If you are attempting to open a raw file from a digital camera, make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update installed" PLEASE HELP! 😞

Running Elements 2020 on Win 10.Have one catalog, one album & 4 folders.Under each folder is a subfolder for each year with pictures. If I try to filter for a tag it only applies to the current subfolder.If I select the higher folder I still only get the current subfolder. Can I filter tags on all the subfolders at once? 

Will this version work on the MAC Big Sur 11.1? Thanks

I'm getting closer, but not quite there. In the past prints were way darker than viewed in Photoshop Elements 2019 (and earlier versions). I would guess at the setting, to get a print. Sometimes I'd get them close enough, and sometimes I'd be very disappointed. After reading several forums, I recalibrated my monitor to 90 cd/m2. Colors turn out close but not exactly what I wanted, even though I have a delta E of .17. Some specific questions: When converting from raw to jpg, there is a profile option where I can select Adobe color, landscape, etc. Do any of these choices have any effect on the print? Or do they only affect how the image is rendered on my display? After selection 'open image' there is a print option where I can see the image, and some other options. I installed Bay Photo's ICC profile, and can select under more options -> color management. I also set rendering Intent to Perceptual (because some forum said to do that) . Should the preview window in the print dialo
