Hey thereThe menutext in Premiere Elements (Top and bottom) looks ridiculously small on my screen. It's not a general Win 10 screen resolution size issue, because everything else (browser windows, Word, Excell etc) looks just fine. BTW: This was not an issue on my old computer (Win 7)Any wizards present who can fix this?
The manual tells me that when I open the Export & Share tab I should then be able to choose under the DISC menu what I want to export it to using an advanced tab. This does not happen and all I have is a set of menus ranging from birthdays to holidays etc. Is there a way round this please?Peter
Just installed Pre 2020 and there's no sound. The speakers work; the same prel plays back in PRE 2014. Audio settings say my speaker is "not working." Any ideas please? Also, can I reach a support specialist? I'm stuck in the endless loop...to you.
How do you find the in/out timecodes of an edited clip in the original footage please (if I have to redo edits in another editor)? Thanks.
Recently, I was rendering/exporting a 3 hour video. The software said the exported file would be 19GB, and I had 47GB left on my drive. Turns out, that to create enough files, there needs to be more space to create such a big file. So I have a feature request. When you start to export a video, it should calculate the amount of space left on your storage and should be able to tell you beforehand whether or not the video will render. It's a small thing, but it can be extremely frustrating to wait 6 hours for a video to render, then be super excited to watch it, then see it non-existent. I understand it's about user error to see that there's not enough storage, but sometimes we don't always check how much storage we have, or we think we will have enough space, when in reality, we don't (like my case). Simple feature for an annoying problem.
In 2000-2005 I used to edit home videos. I took a course in college for basic functions and I was able to do everything I needed to. Its now 2020 and I am just getting back into the swing of things. I'm looking to record some gaming clips and make them into a short video. Is there a tutorial or guide that any of you recommend for a returning user? I see a lot out there but I don't know if there's one thats much better than another. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can't add text to a word balloon added to a movie I am creating. I can put the balloon in, and it says 'add text here' but nothing works. Someone out there responded and when I was answering their question, the screen changed. Argh
I made a 3 hour video, and with my slow i5 processor, it took about 5-6 hours to render/export. When it finished, it said the normal "Done!" I closed out of the program, and went to File Explorer to see the video. I see the video as an MP4 file. It is only 24 bytes and when I try opening it in the Photos app, it says the file name and then "We can't open this file." I tried opening in VLC Media Player too, but it doesn't show anything there. I know it's not hard to render it again, but it uses up a huge portion of the day, and I feel like it's too much load on my poor laptop for too long. Any possible solution to reviving this video without having to render it again? If there's no solution, then can Adobe PLEASE look into this. It's exremely frustrating to be super excited to watch your new video but to find it non-existent once it's "ready."
I just started using Premiere Elements. I am loving it so far. I did notice that sometimes when I record a voice narration(using my snowball black ice mic), sometimes it is saved as 44khz and other times it is 48khz. Can someone please tell me why does it switch between the two. I can I force it to always save the audio in 48khz??
I have files from my Panasonic HC-VX981 that are missing audio from the end of the clips. It's not all clips, just random ones and there seems to be no consistency in the amount of audio that gets truncated. If I watch the clips the audio is there?Attached a screen capture of one of the clips. Can't seem to figure out why this is happening all of a sudden. I did do the latest update recently, this is the first video I'm trying to edit after doing the upgrade.
I have a problem in that the audio player in Elements 15 doesn't work when I upload video with sound. The video is fine. The Microsoft audio player works fine when I play a video attachment to emails so it doesn't seem to be an operating problem. I recently re-installed the Premiere Elemets hoping this might fix the proble, however no luck. Any suggestions?
Hi everyone-I am pretty new at using Premiere Elements, even though I have an old 15 version. I am trying to create some instructions videos where an image is shown to the left while the video plays to the right. Whenever I add an image, either through "Place on Top" or "Picture in Picture", the quality of the image looks great while still. Once I play the video, the image becomes blurry, almost pixelated. I have searched for answers, but still can't fix the issue. I have edited the image to make it the same height as the video, so for a 720p vid, the image is 720 pixels high. Still no success. Can anyone help me with remedying this situation? I really appreciate the help. Apologies if this a noob question.
"We are unable to write the Registry value." I've seen other Adobe support requests for 160 errors, but the fixes depend on knowing the registry key in question. The Premiere Elements error has no additional information obviously available (e.g. noting on the screen, nothing in %AppData%). System is a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit system with 8 GB of memory and an i7 processor; there's over 700 GB of available space on the C: drive. Downloading the trial version directly from Adobe similarly failed; so did running the install as Administrator.
Sorry if this issue has been posted before but this is extremely annoing. I've searched all over the internet and haven't found any answers.Anyways, I have a project file I'm working on. Old adjustment layers are working exactly as they should, but when I add a new adjustment layer and add an effect (guassian blur for instance) the problem arises. The effect appears as it should without keyframes but as soon as I add some keyframes to very the effect with time it goes heywire. The variations in the effect have no relation to the placed keyframes. For example, I want a scene to gradually blur as it fades out, so I set a keyframe 2 seconds from the end of the clip to 0 blur effect and ramp up to 50 at the end. When I play the timeline, instead of starting at zero and ramping up to 50, it seems to start at 50 and go backwards to zero. It's almost like the .prel file is corrupt. I'd like to know how to fix the file as I'd rather throw my comp
I just purchased Premiere Elements 2020 to clip and edit some of my home videos. The company that digitized them sent them to me in mp4 format. They run great outside of PE without any sync issue. However, every time I run one in PE to edit, the sound is out of sync with the image. I have seen other posts about this using previous versions of the software with users experiencing the same problem. Many suggestions were made to remedy the problem, including converting the files to other formats or running the files through Handbrake. Handbrake worked; however, that process is just another step that shouldn't be needed. It's hard to believe that Adobe doesn't have a built in solution. Am I missing something? Is there an easier solution to this?
I'm trying to get more precise about editing. In Windows I don't think left and right arrow keys are moving the time marker one frame at a time, more like 5 on the timeline. CTRL + arrow key doesn't seem to do anything. Documentation does not appear to help... Up until now I haven't cared about it, now I do... Any ideas? Thx.
When I create a video I can post it to YouTube in 30 fps only. When I set custom export settings to get the video in 60 fps the upload doesnt work for some reason. Please tell me how I can export videos in 1080p60 and watch and post them where I want.
This is pretty urgent as I need the showreel completed by Monday! Hi everyone, I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on a mid 2012, '13 inch MacBook Pro with 4GB of Ram and a 500GB hard drive. I am am currently trying to export a short 8 minute showreel onto a 1tb hard drive that is 5 years old and is 50% full. I have done this tonnes of times before and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. When I try to export the video using the Vimeo SD setting the progress bar immediately goes up to 1 hour and 43 minutes and doesn’t go down very quickly. Normally the progress bar says it will take several hours and then goes down very quickly and generally only takes about 30 minutes in the worst cases. Any suggestions?
I have tried several setting to export to youtube and the quality is terrible. I have a Gopro Hero7 & and i am recording in 2.7K. I bring footage into PE2020 and export 4k becuase the next lowest is 1080P (where is 2.7K?) . The video quality on youtube doesnt go any higher then 1080P https://youtu.be/J9D_UCLnGgI . If u right click on the video, choose stats for nerds it say Codec= AVIC. When i video is labeled AVIC , youtube dumbs down the quality. What you want to see is VP09 https://youtu.be/Oh5X8bUo4n8 How do i export a video from PE2020 so i can get higher then 1080 and ultimately VPO9. Could i record in 1080 on the gopro and upscale on the export? I greatly appreciate your help, i have searched for hours for the answer. I have tried exporting strait to youtube from PE2020 as well as saving the file then uploading via Youtube uploader. One more thing, the video above that is VP09 is was exported the same way in PE2020 but for somereason that short video
I recently upgraded my computer hardware so I could do 4K, I'm using an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor with an XFX Radeon G570 Graphics card, Windows 10 home 64 bit. And I've been able to load everything up to 4K 30fps but when I try for the 60 I get a message that say "file not supported or missing a Codec." I installed the HEVC Codec today, and I even went throught the processes Adobe gives because of a similare problem with the 2020 version, but it didn't fix it. By the way I did restart my computer after adding the Codec and it seemed to help with viewing the file in VLC, but Adobe Premiere Elements still won't accept it. Does anybody have any ideas?Appreciate any help you can give.
My computer crashed.. I lost everything.. I got a new harddrive installed.. can I get my old premier elements 18 back to put on this harddrive.. and no I have no info on it.. I can't find a way to call and verify myself so they will let my install on computer with a different harddrive.
I'm using Premiere Elements 12 and can find no option for saving/exporting my finished project as an mp4. What am I missing?
This is a commonly posted issue, but I have tried many of the things listed in other posts and no luck so far. When I try to play an mp4 video from a video camera in Elements, it will play from a split second to maybe 1-2 seconds and then pause again. Strangely, it worked fine for the first 15 minutes or so of it being newly installed on this computer, but now every time it only runs for a split second. HP PavilionIntel core i5-8400T CPU, 1.70GHz, 6 cores12 GB RAMIntel UHD graphics 630 I watched Task Manager while trying to play the video as was suggested, but it doesn't appear that anything else is hugely impacting CPU or memory use. Turned internet and antivirus off, no difference. I don't have the option in preferences - audio hardware to choose no device, which seems to have worked for many people. I run the program on my home computer no problem, which is older and I'm quite sure is less powerful. There's no orange bar at the top
My videos automatically fade to black on the last frame. I want them to not fade to black and end on the last full frame of the show. I've fiddled aournd and gotten it to work but have no idea what a did to get it to work. So each time I have to fiddle. Can any one point me in the right direction. adobe Premiere Elements 2020, iMac
I'm really curious as to why this happens. One clip will be fine but the next will not have audio. I am uploading recordings of my desktop or games being played but I don't understand why one will have it but not the next. I always wait for the imported clip to finish conforming before I drag it to the track. They are all mp4 files. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated!
