No sound on Macbook Pro 2020 M1 with MontereyPremiere Elements 2022 does not play the sound. The audio level can be seen in the audio mixer, but the sound is neither passed on to the internal speakers nor to an HDMI device.The sound of the integrated sound files cannot be heard either.have played through all options under settings audio devices and no success.even deleting and reinstalling with a new path do not help.Sound output of all other programs on the Macbook will work, just not Premiere.The strange thing is that the audio mixer in Premiere shows the level, so it fails to transfer the sound to the OS Macbooks.Everything works on an identical Macbook with OS Big Sur

I've been happily editing using Premiere Elements 2018 for the past several years.  Last week I created a new project, and when I tried to play some clips, no audio!  My audio hardware is working fine with YouTube videos, system sounds, etc.  Looked for settings in PE that would affect this, but couldn't find any.  Then PE started behaving erratically--clips wouldn't play at all, certain commands did nothing.  When I tried to close it, it seemed to stop responding entirely.  After experiencing this several times, I decided to delete it and reinstall it.  Today I did so, but no joy, as the new installation is behaving exactly the same!  Is there a timer on this software that just makes it dysfunctional after a certain amount of time?  I was a reasonably happy PE customer until now...   You need to ask program questions in the forum for the program you are usingTo ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.c

Hello from Belgium ! I consider buying the Panasonic HC-VX870 camera ( Yes, still on sale in Belgium !).Its only records 4K in  PAL MP4 format and not AVCHD.Looking in the settings in PE 2020 I only see 4K ( QFHD 16x9 25 ) in PAL AVCHD.Will I be able to import these files in PE please ? I'm trying to superimpose a picture of a train on the video of a moving track background.  You can see the video at.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X8xI7sOBdQ   .  The problem is that the track curves every once in a while and the superimposed train picture is no longer centered on the tracks. I scaled the train picture to fit in the beginning.  I was hoping I could copy the scaled train from the time line by right clicking and chosing copy and then, pasting that into another part of the timeline and sliding it over so that it stayed on the tracks.  Premiere elements doesn't appear to allow copying of scaled clips from the timeline.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish my goal.  I think this would be a good feature for adobe to add to premiere elements.

Hello all, I've purchased Adobe Premiere/Photoshop Elements combo pack in 2020. All of a sudden, as of today, it wouldn't open premiere (photoshop seems to be fine). It said I needed to re-license the product. My existing license does not seem to work for this. So now every file as the "This was made with free trial" watermarked right in the middle (hideous). I've looked up some old threads and tried clearing the "Timeline > Delete Rendered Files" and it did nothing. I've cleared media caches and it's done nothing either. Every time I open the program it says "Your trial will expire in 30 days" and prompt me to "continue trial" or "License this software".Adobe chat ran me around 3 different people and all of them were unable to help, recommending I just re-buy the program or check here. I must say I am really frustrated and so here I am requesting assistance. Is there anything I can do? Or do I have to buy the program again? All the best, Adrian

I edited a load of short clips Saved them to a folder The folder disappeared. My project became corrupled with lots of red multi languade bits of text and then disappeared Is this a virus?Checked with Mcaffee nothing shown Help please! Des george

Hi everyone I have a file that does not play any audio in premiere elements 15 but has visuals and I can see the waveform. I have tried opening in after effects and it says there is an error and to check the codec which is H.264. I have looked on line and I am guessing there is something wrong with the audio codec but I don't know. The files plays on all other video programs like media player, quicktime and VLC so it's just adobe which is being the pain. I have also opened it in Adobe media enoder and rerendered in MP4 format but the problem presists many thanks

Back again! I have a video clip of someone walking.  I have gotten it timed to the beat of the music, but want to have the video move from left to right on the screen as it plays. Is this possible?

Another question.  I've "lost" the drop down arrows on the video tracks.  How do I get them back? Also... what is the little green bar at the beginning of video track one?

Hi all, New question from this newbie.  I have two clips, one is background the other is titles over background.  The two fade in and out simultaneously, but at the end of the fade they flash back on for a moment.  I haven't found any info in the discussion groups referring to this issue.  Any suggestions?

I've just purchased Premier Elements 2022 with the licence code applied and therfore not running as a trial. My GPU is shown as unsupported even though its on the supported GPU list. Further the GPU is supported in Photoshop Elements 2022 and Lightroom and runs fine. I have updated the driver to the latest in case this is the issue without remedy. There have been previous posts, but these have related to varients of this card. The GPU is just the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.  Any remedies from these earlier posts relate to earlier versions of Premier Elements and don't work or cannot be applied.Note the OS is Windows 11. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to get this working.

I spend hours creating a video on Adobe Premiere Elements... when I save it, exit and then go back into it, several of the videos then appear with this error message (see picture). I don't know why it is doing it and I have to start all over again, only for it to continue happening every time I have to exit the video.  Please someone help and tell me why this is happening! I'm so angry!!!

All,I'm really new to Premiere so I'm stumbling along.  My current issue is that I have unlinked an audio track from the video and when I delete the audio everything else on the video track shifts to cover the void (the video is not deleted).  I then have to go through the video track to reset the locations to the proper time frame to match the music track. What am I doing wrong?  I am basically attempting to create a slideshow type video to burn to disk.

I'm making a video using JPGs, in full screen previewing there is a line on top and bottom of screen. In workspace mode video shows JPGs completely show full screen but when I preview in full screen mode there's a whie line on top and bottom of the full screen. I tried adjusting the size of JPGs but the lines are still there. How do I fix this? Once I finalize the video and export it will the lines disapear? 

I run PE 2021 (with updates) on a WIN10 PC.In past projects when moving for example JPEG images around on the timeline (expert mode) or adding text etc it has been easy to allign with either the TLI or the edge of another clip. I recently started a new project (project settings are HD i.e 1920 x 1080.The timeline consists of a number of JPEGs (photographs).When moving a selected clip left or right there is no snapping to the TLI or edge of another clip! The online Uers Guide indicates that you have to press the SHIFT key whilst moving.  I find that if I select the clip to move & press SHIFT the clip is de-selected.  Same effect in my old projects. Is there some setting / option somewhere that I have somehow disabled?  I have searched but cannot find one.

Can you add custom transitions to Premiere Elements, like transition packs. It would be very cool, because the current transition library is pretty small compared to Premiere Pro. If there is no transition pack support in Elements yet, it would be a nice addition for Premiere Elements 2023. Thanks!

Premiere Elements 2021 version 19.0 running on Windows 10, running in Expert mode.Beginning a new project, I applied an audio effect (a compressor) to a 30 minute clip, then began editing the clip to remove pauses, 'uhs', etc. I disconnected my network connection because I was having a problem with playback stopping by itself frequently enough to be irritating. A forum post suggested trying that. It seemed to help, at least after a few minutes.I closed the project to take a break.When I reopened the project (internet still disconnected), the audio sounded low. I checked for the compressor, and under 'Applied Effects', the box where the compressor effect should be read Offline (filter unavailable)Hmmm, OK the internet was disconnected. Was this effect looking for a network connection for some reason?I reconnected the network cable, half expecting the effect to magically reappear. It didn't.I closed the project, reopened it... still Offline (effect unavailable)I reboo

I DID read some info on this in the Elements documentation, but simply cannot get it to work. I'm starting with a very basic video, so I can see how this works. I just took a 10 second of video of myself. Of course, there is the background in this picture, such as the rest of my room, with me talking in the center of the picture.I now want to take any landscape picture, and I have chosen such a picture, not another video. I have imported this into my project. I have tried choosing this "difference matte" function and dropped this into either the video of me speaking or later just into the landscape pic I chose. I even changed the postion of each, with the video of myself being on the video 2 line, and other times having it on the video 1 line (with the landscape picture on the other line.) I still have no idea how to make only my face  appear in the final result, and have the background around me just consist of the landscape pic in the other video bar. Any suggestions?Thanks

It would be cool to import prel. files to your projects, so you could use custom transitions etc. It would be a small, but a really useful feature for the next installment of the Premiere Elements.

Can anyone help me undersdand why Shadow/Hightlight effect causes light flicker?See video example I've created here below (25 secs of clip with S/H and then 25 secs of original clip) First I thought it's to do with Auto Amount settings but it behaves the same way when constant amount of shadow 33/hightlight 0 is used.I've tried playing with tonal width and radius but there's no effect. I was thinking of getting Pro version but if it's the same there then I'm highly sceptical...Thanks for any help. 

Hallo,nachdem ich eine Verwackelungsreduzierung mit "Detailliert" durchgeführt habe, sind im Bild dünne senkrechte, sich bewegende Striche - wie "leichter Regen" - zu sehen, die vor der Bearbeitung noch nicht da sind. Die Einstellungen unter "Erweitert" habe ich als Screenshot beigefügt. Meine Frage: Mit welcher geänderten Einstellung kann ich diese Striche ausschalten oder zumindest vermindern?Gruß Wolfgang

I would love to upgrade my Premiere Elements 2018 version to the Elements 2021 version IF I can get some definitive answers about GPU acceleration compatibility. Information about the subject seems vague, ambiguous or even mythical to me. Questions regarding the subject on this board are either not answered or otherwise vaguely diverted. I have not heard anyone testify this feature actually works for them (except for one guy with a GT 730 on YouTube) I started with installing the trial version which I found out later does not support the GPU acceleration feature!? https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/gpu-acceleration.html"GPU acceleration feature is not supported in the trial version of the application. I just downloaded the trial version of Premiere Elements. I began putting a video together and when I play it back it has a big watermark bannert across the screen saying "Created in Premiere Elements". Is there a way to get rid of that?
