With a Robohelp MS HTML Help project, would it be possible to dump all text contents into one big file?--Christoph
I inherited a RoboHelp project created in RH 11 and now in RH 2015. I have used Baggage Files in the past to allow my users to open, download PDF files. When I go to the Baggage Files folder in my project, it appears that there are exact replica of the folder structure. I have searched on the Internet and Adobe sites to describe the Baggage Files feature. I still am unable to figure out what would happen if I removed the folders. Does this have something to do with the mapping when publishing my WebHelp? Why do I have the folders in the Baggage File folder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello Community!Hoping someone might be able to help with this urgent issue. All of a sudden, my.cpd project file has been corrupted and cannot be opened. Nothing out of the ordinary happened overnight to cause this error in the morning. Other project files open fine, but the main project I always work in has now become corrupt and RoboHelp 2015 says that it cannot be opened.Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any tips to look through before contacting Adobe directly would be much appreciated.I have backups of the .cpd that I could load. To bring in the most up to date htmls though, is there any quick way of doing that besides dragging and dropping each individual topic page into the older version of the .cpd?
I am using RoboHelp 2015. The title of a generated .chm file is not what I wanted. How do I change it?
I'm deleting the CPD file to clear it and let it rebuild but it isn't rebuilding it's restoring from several days ago. I'm using RoboHelp 2015. I understood that if you delete the CPD file that it rebuilds but every time I delete the file it restores a copy from several days back. So does it rebuild or restore? If it is supposed to rebuild why isn't it?
Hello,A client is asking to add a fifth button to the toolbar shown below. Content is generated in WebHelp, using RoboHelp 2011. The button would need to open a page. Is this possible? If so, any pointers would be much appreciated!
I am using RoboHelp 2015 to generate WebHelp output. The development team would like me to check in the files into TFS so that they can pick up the files and integrate them into the build.I am looking for some best practices here as I am running into some issues every time I try to check the files back in. For example, I need to manually track the files I have added/renamed/deleted in the RH project. We have discussed the following options:Deleting the contents of the WebHelp output folder in TFS every time I want to check in the new files. This works, but does not seem like a very elegant option.Zipping up the contents of the WebHelp output folder and checkin/checkout this single fileThis works well for me, but the devs have to create a separate process to unzip the file every time they generate a build, which they are not crazy about.Checking out all files in folder, overwrite the files with the new files, manually add the new files, and then check everything back in.This work fin

I can see my browse buttons when I generate my HTML Help layout and view the result from the "Result: HTML-Help has been successfully generated" dialog box and press "View Result" -- but not when I run the CHM file as a stand-alone file. Help!
I've been building a large project for several months. About a year ago we upgraded from RH9 to RH11 with no issues. We just discovered that there are now issues with the full text search. Investigation shows that anything loaded prior to about a month ago comes up in the search, but anything loaded after that does not come up. I've checked the whxdata folder in the published files and found that the packagexx_xml.js files are all dated February 3, 2016 even though this has been published since then. Should I delete the whxdata files and let them recreate? If I look in the project files there are no package files and if I open index.htm and do a search I get "null" for everything. Do I understand that these package files hold the text search information? Obviously something has gone haywire. Might I be having JavaScript issues? Any suggestions?
Can someone please share how one can set up the Help project to open up with the left Navigation pane hidden by default? Thank you.
Anyone know any "under the hood" changes that can be made to make the "Highlight search results" field in the Search be set to unchecked rather than checked? I can see in the SSL recipe where to enable it to appear or not appear (and change the colour of the highlighting), but nothing about making it be set to unchecked in the resulting WebHelp output (or any of the other forms of help output where it can appear).
We've created a Product_Table style. When a user inserts a new table using that style, we'd like the table header and table text to use our TableHeading and TableText styles, not the default styles. We have two writers who are very fluent in HTML and RoboHelp and neither have been able to find a way to accomplish this goal. The end result is that the users have to manually apply the TableHeader and TableText styles after inserting the table. Thanks in advance for any help.Carol
Hi All,We do not typically write indexes or glossaries for our product or P&P documentation, but the Responsive HTML 5 layout has icons for both in the Sidebar (Layout Customization). We would prefer to remove these, but I haven't sorted out whether it's possible. It appears it is not simple if it is possible. I tried the 1x1 invisible png, but Layout Customization forces you to use the index.png and glo.png file names. I renamed the invisible png as index.png and it left a 1x1 px white spot in the header. Meanwhile, if you mouse over where the icon was, it makes it look like there's a clickable icon there. Any suggestions? Thanks,Matt
I have RoboHelp 2015, 64 bit computer, Windows 8.Software is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2015I manually created a Browse Sequence named it, added files, etc. As a test I also created a second browse sequence and let RH create the browse sequence and set the level to zero.I am creating Microsoft HTML helpIn my Window (in Output setup) I have checked in the Tri-pane Tabs and Windows to include Browse SequenceWhen I view the help file, I cannot get the Browse Sequence to appear.I also tried creating a WebHelp (checked to include the Browse sequences in settings) and that too does not display the browse sequence. I also checked the enable browse sequence under navigation in WebHelp settingsFrom reading other topics, I registered (as an Admin) C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2015\Redist\x64\HHActiveX.dll. The registration succeeded, rebooted, but still no browser sequence.Any suggestions on how to get the Browse Sequence to appear in the Microsoft HT
Is it possible to find and replace double-spaces with single-spaces in RoboHelp? I know it can be done in Word, and I am trying to do this in a RoboHelp project, but it does not seem to work. Please advise. Thank you in advance!
I'm on RH8. If one adds a pdf file into a project as a baggage file, can a user search info within the pdf or would the search only point to the pdf document?
I thought of using WebHelp to publish the online documentation, but then I noticed that there is also the Microsoft HTML Help layout. It doesn't publish an HTML document but something else. Can I use that instead of the WebHelp? What I am trying to do is there will be a link in our site and then when they click it the HTML help file will pop up. Any information you could provide would be very helpful. Thank you!
RoboHelp 2015.In the WebHelp Settings you can select "Enable Highlighting in Search Results".If you do not select the check box, the field does not appear in the WebHelp output. We chose not to select this option because the highlighted results often make the Help topic very cluttered and hard to read. However, now the user doesn't even have the option of using the feature.Does anyone know of any way to enable this option, but enable it with the check box empty (not selected)? Thanks.Carol Levine
When I use Responsive HTML5 Output none of my child index topics will load. All Index entries load in WebHelp format. This little icon will turn all day long…nothing comes up in my INDEX. Here is what I get in Responsive HTML5 Parent Project
Hi all,Trying to figure out if RH 2015 is capable of managing cross references. I have hyperlinks in my topics that I want to be cross references in word and give me page numbers when I generate. Not much use having a hyperlink on a piece of paper.Only search items I found seem to turn up posts from years ago about using word macros to do it. Any ideas? Thanks,Nick
I am using RoboHelp 9 and IE11. I tried to compile my project using WebHelp as my primary layout. When it opens I see that the TOC and topics are listed on the left, but when I click to allow blocked content, all of a sudden the TOC and topics disappeared. I do not know how I can make them show up. Here is the screenshot of what I get. Please help. Thank you!
