Hi,I am using FM11-RH10, as part of TCS 4.0.I have imported a FrameMaker book into RH. I am using a master page for the footer content. I am publishing to WebHelp output.We have the browse sequence buttons on the navigation pane above the TOC, but we want to provide additional navigation option in case the user prefers to close the TOC pane. So, we want to add two buttons (Back and Next) at the end of each topic, so that the user can easily navigate to the previous and next topics of a lesson/ book. Preferably, we want this to be a part of master page, which other team members can use without any customization. The buttons should identify the topics from the RH TOC.Is this possible in RH? If not, what is the closest possible solution? Please advise.- Anusha

Display of Webhelp generated from RH11 running on a 64-bit virtual PC.We are upgrading from RH 9 to RH 11 to fix issues with displaying webhelp on IE 10.To evaluate RH 11, I am running 2 virtual PCs, one 32-bit and one 64-bit. When I create webhelp from the 32-bit PC, it displays perfectly in all browsers. When I create webhelp from the 64-bit PC, the Contents,Index,Search,Glossary frame takes about 30 seconds to appear for all IE browsers. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm running RoboHelp 10, generating Help files using the WebHelp target.Sometimes, in the WebHelp output, clicking a Table of Contents or Index entry restults with a bank topic. This issue is resolved my either maximizing/minimizing the screen or by refreshing the browser.The issue does not happen consistently in the output. As well, it seems to only happen in Internet Explorer 10. Is there a work-around for this issue?

I've searched on xss vulnerabilities but did not find anything about "document.write(strHtml)". Can anyone tell me is this due to usage of frames or another reason? ---thanks

can we work on the same project or do we both need to be using the same version of RoboHelp?

Hi,I am using RoboHelp HTML version 10. I have created a master project containing about 40 individual projects. Of these I have 8 which are showing the breadcrumb line twice and one which is showing it 3 times on each page. Why are these showing multiple times and how do I fix it?I have also noticed that in each project which is showing multiple lines, it is also showing the name of the project multiple times - e.g. Home > Doc1 > Doc1 > Introduction       Home > Doc1 > Doc1 > IntroductionThanks,Sharon

Does RoboHelp 10 work natively on a MAC? Or do I have to use a VM?

We are running TCS4, fully updated.My co-worker is having the problem above on his workstation.I opened the Frame book, addressed a couple of issues to get a clean update.Went to RH, created a new book, and imported the FM book.  No problem.On his machine, I opened the book in Frame, got a clean update.Opened RH, created a new project, and tried to import--that's when we get the error.It's clearly a problem with his machien, but we'd REALLY prefer not to have to try a TCS4 uninstall/reinstall.Any ideas?

When I generate a Webhelp and CHM out of RoboHelp 10, with a specific conditional text tag set to AND NOT, RoboHelp 10 crashes while attempting to generate the Webhelp or CHM content.When I generate the Webhelp or CHM project with the specific conditional text tag set to AND (Include in output), RoboHelp 10 generates as expected. This is a new issue for me. It was working fine last week. I have rebooted my system, reinstalled RoboHelp 10, removed and added the SSL that exclude the conditional text tag from the output.I am not too sure what else to do. I need to generate and deliver my help system very soon, so am hoping someone out there might be able to help?Thanks, Tannis

I am new to Robohelp and have been teaching myself the program to fix and upgrade my companies on line help system.  I believe the last time the help system was updated was 2009 and it was in Robohelp 8.   I have upgraded the program into Robohelp 11 and am starting to edit the project.   I am coming up against a few issues and have questions.  1.  How do you move the entire project file off the network location and make a local version.  My network is slow and seems to be causing errors.2.  I just tried to create a new folder in the main project folders for a new folder topic and recieved this error. I apologize if these are silly questions.  I am no developer but I am trying to help my company upgrade our on line help!Thanks!

RoboHelp 11I'm sorry if this has come up and I wasn't able to find the anser, but is there any way to add a statement: Was this topic helpful? Yes No to the end of a topic. It seems many Help programs, including your own, have this capability. If this does not exist within RoboHelp 11, how can it be added? (And, how is it compiled.)This may be a very naive question, but I'm grateful for any help.Thanks!

Here is a mystery for you. I have converted my rather large help project to a very large Word document and then PDF. The interesting behavior I am seeing is that about halfway through the document the numbers and bullets have disappeared. We have put the numbers and bullets in the same throughout the project but in the second half of the document they are missing. They are in place in the first half of the document.The project has been around since RoboHelp X.5 and is now in RoboHelp 8. The projects are intermixed with what release they were created in. The document is 2334 pages long and I lose numbering and bullets after page 1133.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Nita

As the title says, RoboHelp x5 TOC and index missing when the project is converted to RoboHelp 10. Any ideas for recovering or importing the x5 TOC and index?Before this is suggested, auto-create is not an option.

Is it possible to show the exact link when a topic is opened? I only found a workaround by opening the topic in a new tab, clicking the show ToC option and copying the link, but I would not suggest that method to our customers.

I get the x broken link in top right corner... I tried all the solutions from changing reader settings to IE settings... no luck. the chm links works fine when opened on windows 7 and the pdfs open in multi screen and epub output. This is definitely a Windows 8/IE/Adobe Reader issue and it needs to be solved very soon or I may not have a job...

If I change the minimum screen resolution for a screen profile (I want to make the minimum desktop resolution 1000 px wide) I get a message saying I need to "ManageMedia Queries in the Styles dialog box and map undefined media queries". I believe I need to edit a CSS file to do this, but which one? If I change the minimum resolution for the desktop profile do I also need to change the maximm resolution for the Tablet profile?

In the Table of Contents Pod, I can right-click on a topic/page and select "Create Book from Page." When I do so, the resulting "book" is not selectable. I have to bring in the page again and place it below the "Book" title. This can't be right! What am I doing wrong, or what should I be doing?

I am building RH10 Web Help that primarily consists of Captivate 8 Demos. I recorded a 900px x 700px region with my monitor set to 1024x700.When I insert the demo into an RH 10 topic and specify that the display window for the demo should be 900x731 (extra height to allow for space needed by Captivate play bar) the viewer has to scroll the window to see entire contents if their screen resolution is less than 1200x780.Scrolling bad.How can I make the Captivate demo auto-size so that it fits in the 900x731 window I gave it WITHOUT any need for user to scroll.Thanks,Ted

I want to get rid of the Nav Bar which contains Prev, Next Refresh and hide buttons. We can hide the buttons in that bar by commenting writeToolBar(); in whskin_mbars.htm file. But still unable to hide the complete bar. I am using RoboHelp 7 with WebHelp Pro. Thanks.

However, I did find some fixes to other problems related to opening WebHelp using Chrome.I have a WebHelp project containing See Also links.The links use the (Choose topic from) Popup menu option for displaying the list of topics.The links don’t work correctly in Chrome. The popup menu is opened near the center or topic of the topic. The location of the popup prevents the reader from seeing the available links. In other words, See Also links are not usable in Chrome.The links work as expected in Firefox and Internet Explorer.I have tried the fix noted in http://forums.adobe.com/message/2207677#2207677,  i.e., I used the modified ehlpdhtm.js. I've published my two layouts, Phone and Tablet, to a folder called /help. When I link to /help/index.htm, that index file is supposed to "sniff" to determine which layout to present. From the tablet, i get /help/android_tab/homepage.htm which is the first page of my project. From the phone, I get /help/android_phone/Android/welcome_to_android.htm, which is my Default Topic, and already three pages in from what homepage.htm should show. From what I've read and understand here, the /help/index.htm file should feed through to /help/android_phone/homepage.htm. When I look at the folders, android_phone has no homepage.htm file in it. So two questions:1. Where is the /android_phone/homepage.htm file?2. How does it end up at the Default Topic if it should be going through the /help/index.htm? If the homepage.htm file is not there, it should give a Page Not Found error, not actually end up on a page.Thanks in advance,Helen

Hi. I have a user whose interested to see if search hits can be modified to look like this... (ie, the red bit is added):<breadcrumb path><topic 1><First severeal words of topic 1><breadcrumb path><topic 2><First severeal words of topic 2><breadcrumb path><topic 3><First severeal words of topic 3>...The user wants to be able to see the context of the topic via the breadcrumbs to help weigh the accuracy of the hit before clicking on it.Thanks.-Kurt

Hello,An AIRHelp stand-alone application with about 50 topics is taking about 20 seconds to launch and sometimes the navigation from one topic to another is delayed.  I removed videos and external links and it runs faster and there are no broken links in the RoboHelp files; however, this sped the output application a bit, but it is still slow.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be made faster? Are there any formatting issues that would slow an AIRHelp application down when generated?Thanks,Jason
