Acrobat Pro 2020.005.30467 (had an update this week)Windows 10 Pro 19045.2728Experience: Just a user; no programming. I finalize reports that need to pass the basic 508 requirement (not for the web). With these reports, I usually have to insert a scanned signature page (scanned by various people using various scanning equipment), and then OCR it so that I can apply tags. The signature page is prepared with a wet (not digital) signature. Most of the time after applying OCR, the signatures get tagged as figures with a description that they are approvals/signatures. No problem. No issues. Some reports are required to have a Quality Control (QC) statement. These are usually sent as a digital Adobe Signed document that are made accessible after applying OCR. Included in the reports are appendices of various documents (shipping docs, invoices, data sheets, other reports, etc.) that have to be scanned, OCRd, and made accessible. Sometimes these docum
Hi team! Are there any options within adobe to detect modifications that have been made to a document? I have heard the term of Audit Report thrown around, which would give you the history of the doc, and with which you may be able to determine fraudulent activity. How to you get access to this, is this on pro only? Also, are there any other features that would be able to detect fraudulent activity/modifications on a doc via Adobe? Any help appreciated! ):)
When looking at a PDF, it will be blank of color but when printed there will be highlighted sections. Under Preferences>Accessibility, the document color options are set to white background and black text. Also under Preferences>Color Management, greyscale is set to black and white. Issue went away after first change to Accessibility but it has now come back a few weeks later. In print preview, it does not show any color but once printed, it looks like a section of the text was highlighted.
Dear Community,10 years ago a consultancy created us working files in pdf version. These files are still in use, but are partially outdated. We have no more contact to the consultancy, cant ask for an updated version. My question: Would Adobe Pro be able to make those old pdfs editable for us to update internally? Or we would have to recreate the whole doc from scratch? Thank you!

Hello, I've been having problems acessing the Adobe Acrobat program. When I open the app, after a few seconds it shows me a grey rectangle with a loading icon spinning, I cannot click away, cannot move the window and when I click it makes a sound from windows like and error kinda sound. I have no idea how to fix this as I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, resetting my pc and yeah, since I can't get to anything else past that grey rectangle I don't know how to try to fix this. Also, I recently reinstalled my windows 10, don't know if that could be the issue, other Adobe apps work just fine tho. Thanks for any help or advice, Daniel.
I am trying to split a large PDF into smaller ones so I can work on them. The PDF is 900 pages long. I can open it but it freezes as soon as I try to do something. I desperately need to edit this PDF and have no other access to the information in the PDF anymore.
When I export a table from pdf to excel, all the £ values appear as text rather than numbers, so can't be used to calculate anything. Could anyone please help? Thanks
I am a creative cloud subscriber and I'm wondering if adobe pdf converter should be included with acrobat DC.If so, how do I enable it?
After converting word files to PDF using right click, I don't want my PDF files to open. I didn't see any post about that. Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you
What is stemming locale?Every time I want to add a file to my index it says that stemming locale has changed. What have I done to change it? I means I have to do a rebuild that takes a long time to do.
I have scanned a document into a pdf file. I then use Acrobat Pro Edit PDF tool, to recognise the text in the document. It finds all the text in the document, but the fonts it uses/embeds have a number at the end of the font name.So for example, text that is Times Roman font, will be Times Roman-13009 or Times Roman 13009 as the font name in Edit PDF font section. What then happens, is that when I go to edit the text, such as delete or change a word, the new text doesn't match and looks different. What is causing this to happen, why does the Recognise text function make the font name with a number after it?Under Document Properties/Font, it says the font is embedded, which I am assuming it says that because my system does have standard Tines Roman font installed. But having the number after it in the font name is like its a different font. Does anyone know about this issue and how to fix it /prevent it from happening? Thankyou..
Hi all, We are running into a strange issue with Acrobat Standard XI when viewing PDF documents sent to us by a client. Some of the text appears to be scrambled and unreadable, yet the document looks fine when opened in any Internet browser and even free version of Adobe Reader. User is on Windows 10 PRO x64. So far we have tried: - Repairing Acrobat - Updating Acrobat - Fully reinstall Acrobat - Disabling Document Protection - Adjusting a couple of the options in the the Acrobat PDF printer options Here is a snippet of the problem:
I'm working on a big digital book with lots of internal hyperlinks for convenient navigation (in addition to bookmarks), and a bunch of tagging so it's friendly to text-to-speech softwares and assistive technologies. I'd like to have just one file with all these features at once: internal hyperlinks and navigation buttons, accessible tags, and reflowable (specifically in Acrobat and not just other programs). But when I try to reflow my prototype PDF in Acrobat, it says I can't because "interactive annotations" (the hyperlinks and buttons, notated as interactive annotations in Acrobat's Content panel) can't be reflowed. So I'm looking for a workaround. Here's my ideas right now for how I might be able to do this. Any thoughts?Give up.Find a way to make it that when you try to reflow the PDF in Acrobat, the interactive annotations are effectively "disabled" or "shut off," so they don't do anything while in reflow mode and thus don't mess with the reflow system.Find a way to keep the
When I use the tool to add a comment, the comment is added but unable to type any text into the comment box. Need help. I've been adding comments to Acrobat for over a decade and all of a sudden it is unusable.
I'm looking for a solution to batch convert pdf files to tiffs. Adobe converts only to 1-page tiffs. My goal is to have multi-page tiffs. Does anyone run into similar issue and has suggestions? Thank you.
I just upgraded from an older version of Acrobat. With that version I could click anywhere on the PDF and free form type. This used to be called "typewrter tool" I believe. I've tried various things with the current version, but nothing seems to give the same functionality - I get boxes, word wrapping after a few words, and just general not allowing me to type free from. Is there some way I can just type text into a PDF with the current version?
I searched and found many posts about this but no real answer on how to fix this (or I missed the real answer?). Running in Windows 11 and I using the current Adobe Acrobat Pro (licensed). Many PDFs I try to print from websites using the "Adobe Printer" (Win 11) fail. The oddity is that if I use "Microsoft Print to PDF" it works just fine. Below is the error I just got when trying to print a renewal that the site made avaiable to me: %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%This PostScript file was created from an encrypted PDF file.Redistilling encrypted PDF is not permitted.%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %% Like noted above, I had to resort to "Microsoft Print to PDF". This doesn't make sense as I pay for Adobe Acrobat Pro yet I need to revert to the built-in driver to print. What am I missing here?
Dear Adobe community,I'm reaching out because I'm unfamiliar with this process and was hopingyou could lend me a hand. I'm trying to figure out how to connect my oldschool printer to this Adobe software, and I'm a bit lost. I’ve tried a fewmethods, but nothing seems to be working quite right. If anyone hasexperience with integrating older printers with Adobe products, yourinsights would be invaluable. Additionally, any tips on drivers or specificsettings I should be aware of would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I really appreciateyour assistance.Sincerely,Julie [Split from unrelated thread]

Hello,Currently I have a pdf layout with blank fields. These fields are filled out when I import a text file. Now, using the information I have imported I am able to create my barcode string. For instance, I would generate the following string: 01034531200000111719112510ABCD1234.The issue now is that Adobe PDF does not support GS1 DataMatrix. So, is there a way to javascript a field to generate a GS1 DataMatrix. If so, how would I go about this or are there any alternative ways to proceed with this. Thanks
Hi, I have no clue how to do this, but I need help to calculate a total amount based on the number of checkboxes with an amount field that the client would input. See picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. For example, if client wanted to order time for a radio station for a certain amount that they would input, then it would show up in the total on the right. If they wanted to order time for more than one station, i need the amount to be multiplied by the number of checkboxes they choose. If that makes any sense.
The Acrobat Pro AI features worked well before but recently found that generating summaries & generating suggested questions take forever. tried to re-install the Acrobat Pro but no luck, appreciate if anyone can help. many thanks
