Hi thereI recently purchased Adobe's Garamond Premier Pro typeface. In order to do some translation work i need to create some extra characters (the license allows this), they will be letters with dots underneath them. After which i will use a script to deal with the kerning of these newly created letters. My question is, can i/how can i access the kerning tables of this typeface? If i can just add the values to the script that would make life a whole lot easier than having to do this manually.Any info or advice is most welcome.Thank you!

I recently (1 day ago) licensed Font Folio Educational Edition. After looking at the readme for some included font families, I noticed the version numbers are behind those listed on the readme (which says "To check that you have the correct font file, compare the font version of your font file to the font version provided in the Release Notes section below."). Is it possible to update to the most recent version?
Does anyone know the correct typographical anatomy term for when the center arms of the letter 'W' cross? Also does anyone have a comprehensive source for typographical anatomy?
I just bought Bickham Pro Font for $102.13 because I wanted all the beginning, ending ligatures, flourishes and other swashes. Back in the 1990s, these were all separate fonts. How do I type these flourishes from what I just bought?
I recently purchased a PDF program so that I could edit documents for fax and email as an easy way to deal with a document for neatness and accuracy.
I have this dilemma:I'm about to re-design the corporate website, the corporate typeface that's been used as display typeface for print material and offline media for years is a custom product made back in the day. When I try to use that typeface as a webfont it looks "cracked" and jagged at certain sizes and alright at some resolutions. In other words not optimal. Since the administration at work is keen on stretching the visual guidelines from print to web I contacted the external type designer that said he could try to redraw it to make it look better at pixel sizes for web. When I browse rather large company websites out there I see that many of them don't use their classic corporate print typeface online but have chosen to use readymade webfonts from Google, FontSquirrel or similar, and they use some classic reliable screenfont as their bodytext typeface, like arial, open sans, verdana etc.So what do? Is it becoming more common these days to actually use the good old corporate typ
I got it from the default illustrator cc fonts, and then I converted it to an outline object and I couldn't find the original text's font! Do you know what it is? I've tried searching all of the font identifying sites but to no avail.

Im designing a brochure for a non-profit organisation and we would like to use Myriad Pro as the main font. (I do work in Adobe CC.) I've got a company subscription to Creative Cloud and have DreamWeaver, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge and Illustrator installed.I have just tried to open an Illustrator doc but a Typekit window has just appeared telling me it has 2 missing fonts. But, it also says I have 'no internet connection' which is obviously wrong as I am posting here.On my Plans & Products page it says I've got:Creative Cloud for teamsContact your team administrator to make changes to your team membership. But nothing under Products. Is that right? The missing fonts don't seem t be in Typekit anyway, but how can I get it to recognise I do have an internet connection?

Hi there,I bought the Adobe Type Basics pack, and I would like to use one of the fonts that has the Preview and Print license. The Preview and Print license states that "Preview & Print allows the font, either fully or as a subset, to be embedded in an electronic document solely for the purpose of viewing that document on screen and/or printing that document. While a font with a Preview & Print embedding permission (either through data in the font file or the font’s license agreement) may be embedded in an electronic document, the embedded font may not be used to further edit the document it is contained in or to edit or create other documents."If I use this font in a PDF file meant to be sold/distributed, am I violating any of these terms? As far as I know, you can't create an "editable PDF." PDFs are, to my understanding, relatively static--so I do not understand why there is such specific wording about the prohibition of "further edits."I am using MAC Pages, so I could use th
Hi, I have a dumb question that I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm pretty new to the Adobe creative software overall and just installed CC. Is there a way to access the fonts already installed on my Mac while in the CC apps? In this case while in Photoshop CC or Illustrator CC, when I go to the 'Type' menu to find a font that I normally use, only an 'Add fonts to Typekit' option is available while none of the local fonts are listed.Any help walking me through how to access my existing fonts would be appreciated. Thanks much!
does adobe frutiger standard family compatible with Microsoft office?
Just an hour ago everything was working as usual. Then suddenly, half of my fonts don't show the 'sample' preview in the drop menue, and while scrolling the list, if I scroll over one of the empty fonts, this error pops up:Selected font failed during last operation. If problem persists, please disable the font.I'd have to disable practically my entire font folder. What's happening?
Can I embed an Adobe font that I legally own into an ePUB using @fontface in css if the license is "editable embedding" (for commercial sale: Amazon, B&N, etc)?
