Up until about two months a go, Adobe Garamond Pro boldface showed-up correctly in MS Word. As of now, and since that time, it does not show up correctly in that application, although it doesshow up in Mac's Text Edit word processor. Some times it does appear correctly, but the same document, when opened later, does not correctly display that typeface.Is this a problem with the font, or perhaps the way a Mac processes fonts? Could a way be found to reinstallthis font without having to repurchase it from Adobe? Any help appreciated! --E.A.C.

What are designers using now With Windows 7 that Adobe no longer makes ATM delux? Lite is not good enough and Windows 7 manager is not good enough.

If you have a paragraph of text with a bold word at the end of the paragraph, do you bold the fullstop as well or leave it as previous font weight?example:Is this correct:Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Hello,I'm planning to use the font KaiTi for my desktop application, it's a Chinese font shipped with Windows 7 (possibly XP and Vista too). The font file itself will not be distributed or included in the app, however I'm going to rasterize the characters and include this raster version in the app. The user can then look at the character and see how the strokes are drawn.Do you think the KaiTi license allow me to do so?Laurent

Hi.I would like to know if Font Folio is offered via Adobe Education Store and if so are there any limitations of use after my education has completed and I wish to continue using the Font Folio?  I think they're up to version 11 right now.Sincerely,-markerline

Does anyone know the difference between OpenType Pro vs OpenType ProN fonts?Apple installs Japanese fonts such as: Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro W3.otffThey also install Hiragino Kaku Gothic ProN W3.otffI notice Adobe also sells several Japanese fonts with the "N" ending, such as Kozuka Gothis Pr6N. Iin that case, does the Pr stand for Pro? What does the 6 stand for? The N?I see there is also a Ryo Gothic PlusN. What is the Plus for?Thank you!

Hi.For educational purposes (classes I'm taking).... how many fonts are included in Font Folio 11 that overlap the fonts that ship with CS5 Master Collection?  I see that there are 2300 fonts in Font Folio and some of the names look familiar but there seem to be some fonts that have extra glyph types such as light, medium, condensed, bold, book, black etc.Please adviseSincerely,-markerline

Greetings,This is basically a question of conscience: I recently had the 30 day trial version of CS5.5, and was surprised to find that after the trial expired the fonts included in the demo package did not “self destruct” but continued to be available on my system. Does this mean that I can legitimately keep them on my computer (strictly for personal use)? The situation seems somewhat paradoxical – I can’t imagine Adobe simply giving these fonts away, yet I also can’t imagine them expecting people to hunt the fonts down and delete them independently once the trial period runs out. (Obviously they hope people will buy the full product, but unfortunately that proved not to be an option for me at the moment.) I didn't see anything about this in the initial terms and conditions when installing the trial package and cannot find any official stance on this in the documentation, so unless I missed something, it would seem that Adobe has no ground to ask people to manually remove the fonts in

Hello, I need a bit of legal advice on the use of "Adobe Garamond Pro" as I cannot find any information on it anywhere. I'm a student designing some Christmas cards for a relative who plans to sell them for money, as you can imagine the cards feature the "Adobe Garamond Pro" font.As far as I can remember I aquired the font by copying it from a college Mac.What I need clarifying is whether it would be legal to then use the font on these cards which will go on to make money (hopefully).To me sounds like it won't be legal but fonts have very strange legalities surrounding them and I would appreciate some clarification.Adam

Hi,I will be selling a product online that allows the customer to customize text on the product. The text will be printed on the product using fonts included in Adobe CS5 (which I have purchased).I understand that the current license I have allows me to distribute printed materials with the fonts since they are just images.However, I am having trouble determining whether the website, which shows the preview of the text as the user types (in the Adobe fonts) is permissible.Can someone point me in the right direction on this? Who do I need to speak to about this? Is there a way to negotiate a license for thise if it's not permissible?I need to ensure I am not infringing on my EULA.Thanks!

Hello,I am working on a logo and have a vector drawing in illustrator.Now that I am adding text, I am trying to achieve the same text in illustrator that I did on mock up in photoshop.Here is Baker Signet @ 60pt with 3pt outline on both:I notice the path alignment is center, and cannot choose otherwise.What is the best way to duplicate photoshop's effect in illustrator?  I want to keep it vector.

Hello, guys!I'm trying to make a logo. For that  draw a picture (truly it's a word drawn with watercolours), took a photo, traced it in illustrator, and it looks the way I want. The only problem I don't know how to get rid of a background (the white background of a paper that it was originally drawn). I don't have Ps at the moment. How can I do it in Ai? Please, please help!

"ABF" is short for adobe binary screen font format, which is not so common now. While i need some .abf cases to test my project, and i really don't have any ideas about where to find a abf file. There is a program called MathType that can only use a couple fonts for its greek symbols. It can't find the greek symbols in the Minion font, even though they are there.Would it be possible to create a new font and just map the Minon greek symbols to the "regular" locations (i.e. alpha would go in the "a" position)? That way MathType might work?
