Dear all,I am currently searching to buy a master suite. I am a student in French university for master purposes. Meantime, i want to start doing my hobby as a profession. I want actually to start designing small websites for companies. In other words i want to open a private company with only one employee (me).My question is for the versions that are available. As a student i can see that the price difference it's huge between student and a normal version and there are no crucial differences.Therefore, what is happening with the licenses? I am still available with the student version to sell my services?PS: is amazon a trustable source to purchase an item? why it's even cheaper that then original adobe website?Thank you all in advanceRegards,Maknek

Hi,With all due respect, these forums are THE WORST that I have come across anywhere on the WorldWideWeb.Not in terms of content: amazingly helpful people abound.But in terms of user experience, especially speed (like molasses in winter): both load times, and sluggish text entry (with occassional extra line feeds for good measure).Now, I'm wondering if there are any other ways of reading the forums other than through the regular web interface? I remember fondly the days of access by NNTP, but that, I understand, no longer exists (too efficient, I guess).But I do remember reading somewhere that someone was developing an Air application to read the forums. Maybe that's better. Does that exist? Does it work?Otherwise, any other methods that people here can recommend?Many thanks,Ariel

I'm getting seriously fed up with all the mistaken identities randomly allocated to people. Hardly a day passes that this happens to someone. Today it is me again, and I have lost count of how often it has happened to me.My name is correctly shown as Harm Millaard at the top left, after the welcome, but my avatar is missing.Everywhere else my name is mangled to show as Harm Millaard-6k6rWMIf this was the first time, OK, a possible glitch, but it has now happened so oft and so frequent, that I really hope you either get your act together or get rid of that crappy Jive software.

Hello, We recently upgraded to the ESKO deskpack in CS5 sending prep files to the HP indigo press. It errors out every time. If we copy the art and paste it into a CS4 file it works fine. Does anybody know if there is any known fix for this?  or why it is happening? -Dave

There are probably better forums for this post however.  It appeats that no one is using or posting or answering in some of the more minor areas of the forum.  Where is the best place to get help on Adobe Media Player/Adobe TV.  I am simply trying to find a way to download and watch the training videos offline.  Any suggestions that work would be helpful.  It appears the media player is pulled.

I am able to install CS3 on my new computer with Windows 7 however I cannot connect to the internet.  I updated Windows,  uninstalled CS3 and reinstalled CS3 three times.  Each time I was able to have internet connection once I uninstalled CS3.CS3 meets all my needs so if I can figure out how to get my computer to connect to the internet with CS3 loaded, I will be a happy user.Can anyone offer suggestions to resolve this issue?  Thank you!

Goodbye Adobe, when you sink as low as adding google toolbar to your product downloads ie. shockwave, that is the time i say goodbye to your company. Sure you make a little more money, but at your consumers expence, The way the toolbar is hidden in the download and no option to click away from it, this is the kind of things i would expect from lower end companies. Overrall this makes your company look sad and desperate. Therefore i will no longer invest in anything you do unless 3rd party downloads are removed from your products this isn't something that should have to be said to an established company like adobe, your products should be making your money and if thats not the case looks like adobe needs to finally move on to something else.**EDIT** This is not a question it was placed under Forum Comments, don't know why it defaults to a question nor do i care.

The Open University in the UK now has some 160,000 students of whom some 45,000 are involved in daily tutorials & classes.As a student on my 3rd MA I have always used Adobe Professional to submit essays electronically ( eTMAs = electronic tutor marked assignment(s)) as amongst other benefits it fixes the formatting of the work in .pdf. The content cannot be changed by the vagaries of the reader or operating system.As of 2011 the Open University have banned the use of Adobe products to submit essays by their online eTMA system. To add insult to injury they have also banned Word 2007 and later in the .docx format. The Open University would like all students to submit, wait for it, in the Word 2003 .doc format. Anyone who's submitted academic work in the .doc format will know what different versions on Word on different OSes can do to the finished product.Now I'm told that its because tutors are unable ( $$$ ) to comment and mark their students work online if its submitted as .pdf; th

Is there a template for Privacy Policy or Terms & conditions in DW, BC or any other program in CS5?I am NOT looking for a web page template but the legal jargan text of the policy itself.A rep at business Depot told me he thought there were templates available in DW. where you replace specific field words with personal or company particulars.ie company name, address, warranty coverage, return policy etc.I have spent alot of money on CS5 but don't know what's in it. I don't want to buy another program or download soemthing if I already have it in somewhere in CS5Thanks

It's January, 2011.  A time for contemplation over things past and resolutions about how to make things better in the coming year.Wouldn’t it be nice if Adobe would bury the hatchet and reinstate the membership of those who complained a little too bitterly about this bleeping JIVE software?What’s it been?  A couple of years now?I personally have (this day) ordered a new camera and then come to understand Adobe doesn’t do updates of Camera RAW for any but the very latest version of it’s software.  This realization has forced me into Adobe’s Forums, something I’ve been avoiding out of respect for those who have been banned.It really bothers me to think there must be others in a similar situation.  People who were  Adobe customers in the past.  People who may find themselves needing to upgrade their Adobe software - people needing information to make a decision about a potential purchase, but locked out.It doesn’t seem right.Please let them back in, if they a

As right-clicking the tool icon of the option bar in CS5 gets the reset tool/reset all tool contextual menu, easier than going through two drop down menus to find that hidden yet useful option. But the suggestions threads is locked, nobody can post in there, and the FAQ forum is in dire need of facelift. I could work on it in my spare time, like Mathias used to do it, and as I did in the Camera Raw FAQ.

I had a simple problem in trying to reinstall Adobe Acrobat 8 today.  I called support and got a fellow from the Phillipines that can't speak english.  I wasted a 1/2 hour just trying to understand him.  Also he didn't know anything.  He was reading from a script.I have been an Adobe customer for years and until today I thought they were a great company.  Today I have changed my mind.  They don't give a damn about their customers, only the bottom line. I want support for Adobe software from a location in the USA that speaks and undestands english.Anybody else feel this way?

I don't remember exactly when it started, but for the past "several" days I have been having a problem with FALSE forum logoutsThis is on both Win7 64bit Pro and Internet Explorer 8 (auto-updates) and WinXP Pro and IE8 (also auto-updates)The symptom is... I will switch away from whatever forum I am in to do something else for "awhile" (half hour to an hour or so) and when I come back to the forum, my name is gone and I see the login line where my name should beWhen I click the login line it does NOT take me back to the login screen, it just puts my name back and I may proceedAnyone else having this false logout problem?

I am using a Mac G5 (1995), OS 10.5.8, and a LaCie electron b 22 CRT, with PS CS4, processing in camera raw and adobe RGB. I need a monitor calibrator (was using a Spyder, but unhappy with it), and will get an LCD when the LaCie croaks. My questions are:1) Can I use the same calibration brand/system for both CRT and LCD? (The LCD would likely be a NEC PA 27xx or similar). If "yes" for certain brands, please suggest.2) I have seen both 1.8 and 2.2 as the preferred gamma for Mac systems. Does this depend on age and hardware? For my current set-up, is 1.8 the correct number? What about for Lightroom 3?3) Is ColorMunki any good for printer calibration (Epson R2400)?Thank you for your help!
