Today, after several weeks and just for the sake of it, I decided to try once more the whole routine of logging out, moving to a non Adobe site, deleting cookies, restarting, re-logging in, and trying to change my Adobe ID to my email address. Well, this time there were two noticeable differences:1. Changing my Adobe ID to my email address did work,and, most important:2. I have stayed logged in after two browser restarts in Safari/Vista!!!I am not aware of having done anything differently, so I think something must have changed in the site/software.I am touching any wood in sight. And I guess that now I will only experience the "normal" logouts other users have been reporting...

Can somebody please help us with this big issue.Web Gallery didn't work on CS4 and we gave up, got Capture one, but now we upgrade it to CS5 and still DOESN'T WORK??? How this people never fixed that issue? can you please get real????ThanksPablo

My forum ID is "Jim Lester".  I did find the FAQ post on spawned IDs and how to fix it, and that seems to have fixed most of the problems (at least my history and PMs are still with the "Jim Lester" account), however afterwards when I posted this message:      http://forums.adobe.com/message/2784668#2784668A new account was spawned: Jim Lester-XOegig but at least it didn't take of the history of the original account this time.  Subsequent re-runs of the login/logout/login/logout procedure did not appear to merge the account, and it will be interesting to see if a new account gets created when I post this question.

Whentyping in the original forum text entry box, the system breaks lines in very strange places. Hopefully, this posting is displaying the way it originally showed up while typing it in. No, really.  I think it's actually...... functioning correctly in the new version of Opera 10.51  (PJ confirm?  I know you got it installed, hehe.)  when running under Mask as Firefox mode.  Exciting, isn't it?  It's fast too!!!  (Although, that's probably more thanks to Opera than anything.)  Opera > Chrome again!The forums are still mickey mouse point-counting silly places, but I think I can live with that.  I may have to retire from serious anti-Jive campaigning until the next version comes out to break things again...    Hope I don't find any unexpected bugs, but it seems we can change the forum (decent) compatibility list to:ChromeOpera

Everyone, I encourage you to voice your opinions and (surely)  disgust with Adobe's Customer Service.  Voice it here, voice it in  every single one of their forums, and voice it in forums all over the  web - you'll find them, NO ONE ever has anything good to say about  Adobe's customer service. Is it a known issue with our highly touted Jive Forum software that new posts to ancient (I.E. one, two, more year old) threads send the orginal thread post out to e-mail subscribers instead of the latest post?An example of the most recent incident of this for me was a post today to this thread [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/209449] that was started on March 6th 2009 sent me the following email of the original post, not the reply submitted today.  I find this quite confusing as I use the e-mail as a primery filter on whether I am going to come to the site to answer a question or not. my question is, why do the pms colors change do a different pms color after you choose the one you want in photoshop.for example when i pick the pms color: 138C, then use the eye dropper tool to see what color it is, it switches to 7413C.287C switches to 653C.it really causes confusion.how am i supposed to know that the color i pick is really the color its going to print?

Why isn't there a forum for Extension Manager? I've seen questions about Extension Manager sprinkled randomly through other products, and answerscopied from one forum to another. Why isn't there a forum for this product?

I have posts that are under an old user name.  Due to the.....well, interesting transition from the old forum and new forum, and confusion thereon, I did not transition my old posts to my "new" username at the time.I am a pretty technical user, but after reading all the posts about usernames, logins, e-mails, etc. etc., I gave up trying to find out the real answer.  Which clearly eventually was available because I see users that have their old posts.Is there anyone to get your old posts under that username from the old forum (which I understand did move over somehow) attached and tagged with your new forum name?  Or vice versa?BJBBJB1

I bought CS4 weeks ago and can not download it.  I've spent more than 10 hours on the phone with tech support, or mostly on hold, waited for  callbacks that never came, jumped through every hoop, erasing OS because they said it wouldn't download on a Mac running 10.6.3 and with less than 12 digits in the serial number (the day they said this was the first day Apple came out with 12 digits), deleted all adobe products and there has been no resolution.  No resolution offered.  They finally called back last Thursday and said they think it might be a disk problem and wanted to check but their software didn't work.  They PROMISED to call me back yesterday at 5 and PROMISED it would be resolved.  I was here at 5 and waiting but the call has yet to come.  They don't respond to the portal and everytime I call it is a minimum of 30 minutes on hold waiting to talk to someone.  They have taken more than 40 hours of my time and won't resolve this.  I bo

I'm getting ready to upgrade to a CS5 Premium Design suite through a third party vendor but before I do, I have a quick question I'm hoping someone can answer.While I have individual programs, my best price will be by upgrading from Macromedia Studio 8. I see that I can upgrade for $799. However, looking at 3rd party sites, their upgrade packages at that price are for upgrading from CS3/CS4. They offer no other paths.My question is this, if I buy one of those, will my upgrade work? I'm guessing I'll be fine, but just thought I'd check. I would have asked Adobe directly, but I can't seem to find any presales contact info.

Have an older  (unknown) version number of Adobe3 sets of photo's were taken and downloaded to the Digital Camera Photos folder on our computer.How to select as a group and copy the images to 3 separate folders.In other words from 'group folder'  to 'abc' folder, 'def' folder and 'ghi' folder.There are more than 25 photos to each group.tiaoldcity1062

On occasion I have found a particularly interesting thread with much information provided by several users and wanted to print the thread for future reference. When I print the thread, only the first one or two posts print, which amounts to about one page. The remaining posts do not print. I have tested this in both Firefox for Windows and Internet Explorer.If this is a bug, please try to fix. If this is a feature lacking, can you provide it?Thanks,Van
