Greetings and thank for reaching.I'm curious to know whether it is possible to use "styles" so that the text in different cells within a table is formatted based on the properties in the style. I've created numerous styles for the table in the attached file, but all the cells take on the formatting of whichever style I used last. For example, I would like the table headers to be centered and bottom-adjusted, then the cells represented by the box at the left should be left-adjusted, and the cells in the last box should be centered. Several years ago, I created a nice template that enabled me to do this, but I've lost the template. I would use paragraph styles to do this, but those style don't have "padding" as an option, so the text is close to the lines. Thanks,Robyn
Hey all, I'm having trouble getting a hyperlink in a Word output (that I then generate a PDF from) to retain its relative link functionality. I've searched the community but nothing seems to definitivly relate to my issue so I thought I'd create a new post. I'm running RH2017. The link is in our Laser help project from which I create a Word print output document. I want the link in the document to always point to a PDF document in the same folder as the Laser manual, let's call it Copyright.pdf. I want the link in the Laser document to open the Copyright.pdf from the current folder it's in but RH assigns the address of the link to the root of the project no matter what I do. What I want is if I move the two files to the same folder on the C:\ drive, the link will open the Copyright.pdf from that location. Likewise, if I move the two files to the same folder on the D:\ drive, the link will open the Copyright.pdf from that location, and so on. The link in RH2017 looks like
Upgraded from 2017 to 2020 (Print Documentation).I maintain and generate my manuals through the SSLs, not the Table of Content. After the upgrade, my SSLs content did not show up. How do get my SSL content layout into the new output format in 2020?
Testing RH2020 to evaluate upgrading. Collaboration using sharepoint is a must have.I am able to successfully upload help projects to the O365 sharepoint site, check in/out, etc.I am having issues with opening/downloading projects from sharepoint. Relatively small project (17 MB, 788 files, 96 folders) works perfectly. Larger project (67.7 MB, 4865 files, 478 folders) fails. Starts the process, says it is downloading, after some period of time I get an application error. No files ever download to my local PC.I have had no luck with help from Adobe support. Hoping someone here has experienced this and can help point me to an answer.
My team uses RoboHelp 2020 and we're trying to share a project using Dropbox, because our VPN access is too slow (and we're not interested in version control at this time). It works somewhat, but it takes a really long time (~18 minutes) for the project to open and read all the files. Does anybody have any tips or tricks on how to work with Dropbox?
Hi all, Is there a way to craft topics in html format by default? I know, I can change filename when creating a topic, however we are looking for this as a setting by default.
I like this program but there are some things about it that just leave me scratching my head. One such thing is Alphabetizing TOC. Can someone tell me how to do this?
Hi There,I am working in Robohelp 2019 in the Classic view and am having trouble with the conditional tags. I had a conditional tag and then deleted it after I had already applied it to some of my content. I then tagged my content with the new tag. The new tag is yellow. But the lines above the content are army green. It is essentially applying two tags at the same time. If I highlight the copy, right click and go to the conditional tag drop down I can see that there are two tags checked. One of them is the one I deleted. But if I pull up the list of my tags, it is not there. How do I get rid of this ghost tag? Thank you in advance. Julianna If I go to
Hi, We're trying to implement the help in our product with the option to download the pdf format of the help. However, our API's run into issues with the download button because an extra slash is inserted into the URL for it during the generation process. For example, clicking on the button executes the following URL:https://<system_name>/system/help/en/us/administration//assets/downloads/User_Guides.zip Is this controlled anywhere in Robohelp itself? Can I prevent this from happening in Robohelp? Please advise.
I am currently authoring in Rh2020 (V3.0.0). I have built a page and I have links to a secondary webpage created via ServiceNow program. Our company security model requires us to authenticate using PingID before we enter the secondary webpage. Problem: The end users click on the ServiceNow link and receive a HTML 404 error if they are not authenticated into the ServiceNow Portal. Questions: Has anyone worked with this before? How do I create a hyperlink in Rh2020 that will go to a specific page and not error?
Environment RoboHelp 2019 (New UX - v2019.0.9) Windows 10 Chrome, Firefox, etc. It doesn't appear on all topics. And there's no pattern to which topics it appears on. To make it even more confusing, it often changes which topics it appears on each time I compile. If I edit a topic/htm file in a text editor, this is where the character is being inserted (red, bold text below - note that it appears twice in this example): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <!DOCTYPE html><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"/><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/><meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=3, user-scalable=yes"/><meta name="generator" content="Adobe RoboHelp 2019"/><meta name="version" content="2019.0.8"/><link rel="StyleSheet" data-skin="true" type="text/css" href="../../tem
How to turn off ripple spelling check in Vietnamese? Seemly, it is a bug of Adobe RoboHelp.
In the HTML5 skin editor I can only select one font from a drop-down list. Is there a way to add more fonts, similar to the way this is done in CSS? My company uses a custom font which many people do not have. Currently the skin falls back to Times New Roman if the custom font isn't installed, while the custom font is a non-serif font. This looks very ugly. Of course, I can select Arial in the first place, but that also then uses Arial for people who do have the custom fonts installed. Is there a way I can select a fallback font, maybe through the .skn file?
I am looking for help on how i make a duplicate of my rh 2019 xpj project, reataing all docs, links, toc, index, etc. Is there a way to do this, without affecting my original project, so the origirnal project can be used for the new project edits/updates/additions/deletions? Thanks for any help, instructions to accomplish. Matt
Hi,The TOC for one of the child projects I have seems to break almost every time when I make changes to the project. It doesn't necesarily has to be a change to the TOC, it could just be a change to one document from the Content Section. It happens randomly so I couldn't establish what is causing it.The project has over 500 documents and I would say approx. half of them would dissapear from the table of content when this happens (please see image attached). I keep having to zip the project before making any changes and then if this happens I have to use the back up version, make exactly the same changes and it works. I am not doing anything different. Is this something I am doing wrong or is it a bug in Robohelp 2020?Thanks,Andrei Cojocaru
Although the breadcrumbs generate, if you select one of them, the topic relating to that breadcrumb does not display. You remain in the original topic. Secondly, if you do a search and select a topic from the Search results, the breadcrumbs do not change to reflect the location of the topic you selected in the Search results.
In my Word output, for lists I get this:I can see in my Word document that I have a hanging indent and a left tab. The left tab is the wrong place. The hanging indent is in the right place. If I type directly in the Word document, and apply a list style, the lists style is applied correctly. The lists are correct in the HTML and PDF outputs.
This only applies to Word. The output is fine in PDF and HTML. I sometimes want a table within a list. I've tried creating the tables directly in the li tag and putting them in a p tag within an li tag but I get the same results. The text in the table does not line up with the border of the table and if there is text formatting like bold, it cause the text after the formatted text to appear on a new line.
Hi, we are in the process of upgrading from RoboHelp 2017 to RoboHelp 2019 and I am having trouble getting the SharePoint connection to work for version control. When we upgraded our current project, it removed the SharePoint settings we had set up (it would have been nice to know that those wouldn't transfer over...it makes me worry that there are other settings that didn't transfer as well). I then figured out that although we used the SharePoint Connector in the 2017 version to connect to the version of SharePoint hosted on our company website, that is no longer an option with RoboHelp 2019.We have Sharepoint Online accounts, so it's possible to switch over to SharePoint Online, but when I add a connection profile nothing happens. I'm signed in and connected, but no folders show up in the selection window (see below) even though there are folders on the Sharepoint site:The RoboHelp instructions were so vague that they aren't any help. When I was on the phone with Adobe support, the
Does anyone know how to add a graphic, which is a banner, so that it automatically resizes to the width of the page, regardless of the page width?
I am using RoboHelp 2019 (going to RH 2020 soon), with a huge help project that has Responsive HTML5 output. Our help is "attached" to our application, and help topics are launched when the user clicks the Help button on a web page in the system. Of course, there's the option to switch to "full context" view when the individual topic is displayed in my Charcoal_Grey layout. Here's an example of what appears when I click the Help button from within the application (context-sensitive mode): The problem is that we have many hyperlinks to bookmarks in various places, both within the same topic and within other topics. In the example below, the hyperlink is set to go to the bookmarked "Filtering the Display" steps included above: However, when I click the hyperlink, it goes to a different place, 2 lines below the bookmark target for "Filtering...". In the project, these sets of steps (in this example) are bookmarked as below: This
I have a skin that was created in RoboHelp 11. Quiet a bit of the skin had to be created outside of the out of box skin editer provided by RoboHelp. This skin worked with RoboHelp 2017 but when I upgrade my files to RoboHelp 2020 my skin defaults to the framless (Indigo) layout. Does anyone know where I can locate directions to maintian my current skin in RoboHelp 2020, rather than have to create an entirely new skin?
After upgrading to RoboHelp 2020, all of the numbers and bullets from my multi-level lists have vanished. I know this is because we have changed the way that style sheets and code works in RoboHelp 2020 to a better method. However, is there a script or fix available from Adobe that can help fix this problem and insert the li, ol and ul codes that are required for lists? The only way I can seee to fix it is by doing something like the following but I don't want to have to do this maually to thousands of topics. The following shows the numbers and bullets before the upgrade. We also have substeps that are indented in some topics. This shows the numbers and bullets missing after the upgrade. This shows the code after the upgrade. This shows the changes that I think need to happen to the code to make it work:
I recently upgraded from RH2017 to RH2020, and I generate webhelp (now Responsive HTLM5). One of the unwelcome changes I've found is the search results contain the topic title, some text from the topic, and what looks like a series of breadcrumb links. We don't want all that. Webhelp search results was a single-spaced list of topic titles and nothing more. Is there any way I can get back to that minimal list of results? (I found a post in this community about this issue, but it was from 5 or 6 years ago, and I don't think it's still correct.) Another disappointing aspect of the new search results is that the "Highlight Search Results" option is gone. Users really liked that, and I'm getting complaints about that. Anyway I can restore that option with RH2020 Responsive HTML5 output?
HiCan I run Robohelp server 8 on Linux machine.I can't seem to get a clear answer from the net.Regards
