How to publish robohelp 2017 output on share point 2013 (on premise) setup.
I'm trying to use the chatbot output to see how we can integrate into our online help but I just keep getting "Failed to generate" error
I created two bookmarks in a topic. I followed instructions to create hyperlink to bookmarks but bookmarks do not show up in Insert link. How can I create a link to a bookmark in a topic? Please ignore this post. I finally figured it out!!
Yesterday, I updated RH to the most recent version (which I have done many times over the last few months with no problems). When the update was finished, I opened up RH and immediately noticed that both the Contents and TOC panels were empty. In poking around, it became clear that everything in the Author tab looks like it has been reset to a blank project. Oddly enough, everything under the Output tab is fine.We are using GitHub for version control and have been for nearly a year now. When I opened my local repository in Windows Explorer, all the files are there. It's like RH just isn't seeing them. At first, none of my teammates saw this behavior. However, this morning, one of them did a "pull" from within RH and now she's having the same problem.I have tried rebooting my machine and deleting my local repo and cloning it from the server, but the problem is still persisting. Help?
Hi ,I am using robohelp 2017 and created my first project. I have established a connection with sharepoint using version control and uploaded the output files too in one of the folders. I have created a new page on sharepoint and given shortcut of the index.htm file link there which users have to hit to see the desired information. however this link works only for me and users are getting error " pageNotFound" i have given full permission to users on that folder but still doesnt work. please assist this is my first time on this.
Using RoboHelp 2019.0.14, building to Responsive HTML. The docs I'm doing are for a programming API and every function for the API has to be in the index. However, a small section of functions are not being listed when the manual is built... Now, in the Index section of RoboHelp, all keywords are there and correctly linked to the relevant pages, but when I build the document for HTML5, this sub-section of pages is not in the index. The index itself probably has 1000+ entries, and the entries that are not being included are the API functions that start with "windows_". Note that there are index entries before and after these ones that do appear fine (for example the entry for API function "while" appears fine, as do the API entries for "xbox_", so I don't think it's related to the number of entries in the index (but I guess it could be, as after searching the community I found a couple of posts from 2017 or thereabouts with a similar issue using Legacy Robohelp, and those were a

I am using Robohelp 2020 and want to output in Responsive HTML5. When setting up the default parameters for this output, I did the following:In the Contents view I cleared Include Index checkbox and in the Glossary field, I have None. However when I generate the help, both the Index and Glossary Icons appear. How can I remove them? It looks so unpolished!
I'm using RoboHelp 2019 and am trying to link a CSV file in my project. I'm working on some online help files for a client and need to include a sample layout of a CSV file since they have to use specific column headings and other formatting. When I publish (Responsive HTML5) and click on my hyperlink the file downloads as an Excel file instead of a CSV and all the formatting is out of whack. I've tried placing the CSV file into the assets folder and linking directly out to that, but when I search for the file in the hyperlink panel/tab it won't display the CSV file. When you select "File type>All files" in the browser, CSV isn't in the list of file types. I have a coworker who was able to do this on a previous project using an older version of RoboHelp 2019, but he doesn't remember exactly what he had to do to get it to work and we've tried everything we can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions outside of using an Excel file and telling them t
Hello,I am trying to upgrade a RoboHelp classic project to RH 2019 with new UI. WebHelp output hangs on "Indexing references" and never completes. I am able to generate WebHelp output in RoboHelp Classic 2019 UI.I saw related posts about this issue here and done the following things to resolve the issue.Used default css from a new project.Set all options under "select files to exclude from search."Changed skin.Still I am not able to generate WebHelp output. There is a suggestion from other post to remove image maps, but I am not sure If I have them in my project or how to remove them. One thing seems to work is - if I Create a new TOC and add only a couple of topics. But as soon as I add all topics, output won't generate.Any suggestions? Thanks.
I have created a Word Template for use when creating word output from RH2019 - New UI. I have tried mapping the styles from my RH project to the styles in the Word Template and I have tried discarding the styles in the RH project but get the same results. I have several issues:The output still uses the same font specified in the RH project rather than picking up the font specified in the template. The headings are the right colour and size but the font is wrong. The bulleted and numbered lists are indented wrong. The second line does not match up to the first line.Where I have a table in a list, the text in the table indents to match the list but the table border does not change The Word template works fine if I use it to create a document in Word.
After I got infinitely recursive folder structure in the output with an upgraded project, I recreated the whole project solely in RH 2019. I had no problem for days, but I did some tweeks and edits to content and now, all of a sudden, I'm getting the issue again. What happens is that a folder is generated in the output called "..." with an infinite set of subfolders also called "..." And when I try to delete the folder structure, Windows gives me an error. What could have caused this and how do I fix it in my project?

HiIn Layout > Topic Page Buttons, RH provides a couple of default buttons and their respective actions to be performed when the user clicks the button in the outputI would like to know where are these functions defined in RH2019. For example, if I select the Expand/Collapse button, in the OnClick field, RH shows rh.model.publish(rh.consts('EVT_EXPAND_COLLAPSE_ALL'), 'Expand');I added a Share button but I am not able to find the function for it so that I can add it in the OnClick field.Does RH have the command for it already available as we have it for the other buttons such as Expand/Collapse, Favourites, etc?If yes, may I know where can I find that in RH?If no, and if I create a command by my own, to which folder in RH do I need to add the new command so that the current link in the output gets copied as the user clicks the Share button?
I cannot select a filter in RoboHelp 2019. When I click a selection, the checkmark vanishes.
Hi! I (still) use RH 2015, creating output in Responsive HTML format. I need to make all of the entries in my projects' navigation pane (TOC, Index, and Glossary) a few points larger. They are currently only 8 points in size. Can anyone tell me how to do this?Thank you!TimCharlotte, NC
I have a project that has been used for years and now suddenly I get an error once it attempts to load the project. I am on Windows 7 and it is RoboHelp 9. Any ideas? Losing this file will be devastating. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: RoboHTML.exe Application Version: 9.0.2.271 Application Timestamp: 4ede0156 Fault Module Name:
I attended the special event last week (besides: it was a fine showcase for all the overwhelmingly great new features!), and since then I was playing around with my 160+ topics RoboHelp 2019 project in the 2020 Trial version. Great fun, even though I didn't even test the new Review process and creating sophisticated PDFs with that new tooling! Of course, I started the purchasing process already within our company (worth every penny!!), and also for shifting RoboHelp to macOS in a private license of TCS which I'm about to make use of for my upcoming Master thesis. Now that we're about to start a public survey on our RoboHelp content, I was wondering: would it be possible to transfer the two new frameless skins (especially the top-menu version) to use it with Rh 2019.0.14? Or is there so much altered JavaScript in it that it wouldn't work? By the way: I also was wondering how to utilize the spaces on the left and right in the top-menu skin, where the panels had been previo
Can webhelp created and compiled in RoboHelp 2019 HTML be viewed on Windows 7?My company's device runs only on Windows 7.Also can it be viewed only a browser and not via the Internet. The device may need to be used in places where there is no Internet connection.
2020 Release Following is the comprehensive list of all the significant changes done in the 2020 release. It includes new features, improvements and fixes for the user-reported bugs. I thought it would be useful to put it together for the benefit of all the users especially who are on 2019 version. New Features and Improvements Mac Version RoboHelp is available on Mac OS now. There is feature parity with the Windows version, only notable missing feature is Microsoft HTML Help (CHM) output which is not available on Mac. Microcontent Microcontent is a smaller piece of content than a topic which you author in terms of Intent, Response, Phrases and Keywords. You can also associate an ID if you have context-sensitive usage. Since it is smaller than a topic RoboHelp provides a unique tabular authoring experience. You can create a fresh content or reuse to create Responses from existing topics. RoboHelp allows you to author in groups so you always start with ne
In my framemaker doc I have text boxes that contain cross reference links to other sections in the same doc. These are valid with the FM doc. But when I published to html5 responsive output, the boxes came across as images and the hypertext lays flat, no link. I see in the publish settings things like Options - use html page template and override styles; will any of the settings on the Edit-Settings dialog enable my cross ref links to come through in the output despite being inside a text box? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.-Bill
I created a project with Robohelp 2019 trial version. I purchase the product and downloaded version 2020. I tried importing my project to version 2020 and it does not work. Do I have to do something else?
I am trying to test RH 2020 to see if we should migrate from RH 2019 Classic. But I don't want it to interfere with my current setup, so I am installing it on a VM... where it successfully starts, then automatically closes after a few seconds. Any ideas? I guess something about the VM is tripping it up, but I'm trying to understand if there's something I can change (missing prereq?) or I just can't use this VM at all. The VM is using Windows Server 2016, has ~6GB free space, and has very restricted internet access. I see that in the requirements it says "This software will not operate without activation. Broadband Internet connection and registration are required for software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to Online Services." - does this also apply to a trial version? Is RH trying to call home, failing and exiting? If so, can anyone provide the IP IT needs to add to the exceptions list?
HiI have downloaded the trial version of RH2020. For some reason the output is not getting generated. In Quick Generate > Output Preset > Frameless, the bar keeps running for ever without generating an ouput.I also checked with the built-in RH project - Compass Travel but still no luck.Any specific settings that RH2020 requires?
RoboHelp 2019 - New UIMy project consists of very short topics starting with Heading 1.Is there a way to have more than one topic to a page? I don't see any setting for this in the PDF Output Preset.
