Hi,I am creating a webhelp output in RoboHelp 2017.I am creating it for a client application where the session ends after 5 minutes of inactivity. Currently the webhelp has been integrated in the application, and it opens in a separate tab when we click Help button available within the application.However, when the user logs out, or the session expires, the help file is still available in the other tab. Is there any possibility that we can control the session of the help file as well, such that the help file also redirects to the log in page of the application? Can anyone point out the JS code, and the file where related JS code needs to be incorporated?

I'd like to start using the new Frameless skins released in RH 2019.9 (specifically Oceanic). Our site looks terrific in Edge and Chrome but unfortunatley our client is still using IE11 across its oranganisation. Does anyone know what, if anything, can be changed in the configuration of IE to allow the sites to run using the new Frameless skins? 

Also I've noticed that all our tables have borders when the large file is imported into RoboHelp 2019, even though the borders are not in the Word file. What do I need to do to fix this?  I've played around with the import settings and haven't been able to get it to import correctly.  (Word doc on the left and RoboHelp 2019 import on the right).  We have over 2000 topics in this large file, so don't want to have manually remove every border.  I've checked the box to import inline styles so that we get all our styles.

Hi, I want to add a tiny bit of JavaScript to my help content that reads the URL currently displaying the HTML5 page and show the host component of the URL being shown.I want to use that function to append the following TEXT description  as follows: We suggest you enter your host name ("Host Name/URL) in the field.The Host Name/URL should fetch the part of URL (till .com, path is not required) currently displaying the HTML5 help page .I am not sure how to write a javascript as i donot know Java. How and where i should add the javascript. What should i write in the below highlighted portion so tha it gets replaced with the URLCould anyone help me with this. (@petergrainge ) Regards,

In RoboHelp 2019, there appears to be a problem with video sizing that didn’t exist in RH 2017 or RH 2019 Classic.When you convert a project from RH 2017 or RH 2019 Classic, the video tags are converted from an <object> the uses the apple plugin to a <video> tag:Prior to Update 6, the remapping didn’t happen in the conversions and the video would not display in the published output using a responsive HTML5 pre-set. However, the size values are lost in the conversion of Update 6 so when the page loads, you see it at a default size 480 X 320 size.If you set the size to what you want, it is added to the <video> tag as shown below.This is not just in converted topics; it happens even if you add the video directly in RH 2019. RH 2019 defaults to 480 X 320 even if your video was recorded and published at 1280 X 720.With the size set in the video tag, when the page loads, you see it “flash” up briefly at 480 X 320, before it’s re-rendered at the correct size, but the video i

RH 2019.When I create a PDF, the TOCis ok but the Bookmarks shows gaps. Please see the attached screenshot. If you click the bookmarks, they open the topics, ie the actual links work. Anyone know what's causing this? 

Hi all, I was very happy to detect the new option to generate a docx-output in the current update. However, this is not working for any of my projects. I tried with the sample project, there it works fine. I tried with 3 projects of different size, there, it doesn't work. After a couple of lines of updated files, I get the error message:  Error: Unhandled Should not have a unit with more than one term Error: See log for details Error: Failed to generate Word   In another project (more complex) I get this error message very shortly after starting the output when trying to update the first file: Error:  Unhandled System.NullReference Object reference not set to an instance of an object.   I checked this directory for more details, but it is empty: AppData\Roaming\Adobe RoboHelp 2019\logs   Any ideas where I should start looking for the cause of the problem? Robohelp 2019.When I create a PDFs, there are large gaps in the table of contents.In one project there are two blank pages before the TOC. In this example, the gap is in the TOC itself. Has anyone else come across this?  

I'm using Robohelp 2019. When I import a Word file, I split docs based on heading 1, heading 2. I use the Word import settings to auto generate a TOC.  The TOC topic titles displayed are the file names, not the heading text. How do I automatically generate the heading text in the TOC headings?I've attached a screen shot for clarity.thank you

I am using RoboHelp 2019.0.8 responsive HTML5I am trying to match font styles between ul.disc and ol.decimal (see below). I wish to match the font in the numbered list with the bulleted list below. I am also including screen shots for the two different styles. I do not want to change the ol.decimal font. I wish to change the ul.disc style to match the ol.decimal style. When I put in Arial 11 pt. (default font in the project) it did not give me Arial 11 pt. and the bullet got smaller which I do not like.     

Hi all,I have some questions regarding the output using dynamic filters. I have racked my brain on these questions for a couple of days now without getting it 😞1. Is it possible to exclude a specific tag from what I see in the output? As far as I understand the concept, the content filter shows everything without any tag and everything with the tag I filtered for. Thus, if I e.g. use an internal tag like "tbd" in some topics, they will never be shown if a filter is set and the tag "tbd" cannot be selected. Right? Or am I doing it wrong?2. I am trying to create a merged project containing conditional tags on content level and on topic level. Example: I am having topics for several countries US, UK, DE (= conditional tags on topic level) and in each of these topics, I am having different licensing information "perpetual", "subscription" (= conditional tags on content level). When generating a responsive HTML5 project everything is fine when viewing with IE11.As soon as we merge the projects we run into problems with the merged help.In IE11 - and only in IE11 - all internal links do not work, TOS does not synchronize and Breadcrumbs are not shown properly.When we paste the link adress into a now browser tab the page will open.Thus, it is not a link address issue.It seems, that IE11 will/can not open the page within the content frame.Does anyone have the same issue? The topics are very simple pages with no special HTML that I can see.On another project, there is a gap of two blank pages in the middle of the TOC. Any idea what's causing this? Thanks. 

Hello! Sorry for my bad english!!!! I use RoboHelp X4 for WORD. I continue get this error 1391 and I can't save my document. During the saving Robohelp tell me (italian): Impossibile completare il salvataggio a causa di un errore di permesso di file e:\....\MyDoc.rtf that traslate is (about!!) Impossible teminate save because append an error on right file e:\...\MyDoc.rtf and then tell me (english): RoboHelp received Word error 1391. Hello!I'm developing a Responsive HTML5 Help page with RoboHelp 2019 on Windows 10 for a smartphone/tablet app. In this app there is a button "Handbook" with which you can get help. This is context-sensitive and opens the corresponding help page depending on which app area the button is clicked.The special feature of this app is that depending on whether it is launched in portrait or landscape mode, the user interface and handling is different. I want to build up the help accordingly in a dual way. My development department can detect within the app whether it is running in portrait or landscape format, i.e. by clicking on the manual button the information portrait or landscape would be sent along.My question now is: Can I insert a condition set within RoboHelp that, depending on whether the help is called by portrait or landscape, displays the correct content?In other words, is there a way to automate variable views of content and screenshots at the development level without the help

I publish my RoboHelp 2015 project in Responsive HTML5. It has come to my attention that the search bar is not working on some computers using Internet Explorer 11. Users would search a common word and it would come up with "Searching 0%". This issue is not happening with Google Chrome at all. In some computers, the search bar is working correctly with both IE11 and Chrome.Any ideas what could be the issue with IE11? Any tips?Help!

Hello,I recently started working with Robohelp (2019 release)...Some of the common features that I'm used to when working with Creative Cloud apps are missing though. Like rotaing images.Is there any possibility to rotate pictures in RoboHelp? Dear All,Do the function buttons to create a superscript or a subscript work?If yes, how can you make a character into a superscript/subscript.I tried by selecting the character and pressing the button, but nothing happens.I'm new to RH 2019 and am working with the Trial version.I can't find anything about it in the PDF documentation.Thanks in advance for feedback & solution.Regards,Carel.

I need to ouput my content to both HTML and PDF. The HTML one is working great, in that I have the topic title automatically added in the header of the master page, displays and works well in HTML. But when I try to use the same master page in the PDF output, I either get the very first page in the PDF with a header (but no footer) and no other page has either, or there is no header/footer in sight.How do I get the PDF output to accurately display the topic name at the start of the topic, and to display my footer on every page? I've tried every setting I can find under the PDF output, even messed with some that wouldn't seem likely, but nothing.

Sorry if this is a duplicate question and I am just not seeing the obvious.  I looked at post "How can I toggle view of drop-down texts in a topic for Responsive HTML5?"  I see that it appears to address how to add RoboHelp's built-in functionality for expanding all/collapsing all drop-down texts using the Azure Blue layout in RoboHelp 2019.  In that post, one person (Amebr) mentioned thinking the buttons appear below the search bar in the Azure Blue skin.  I looked at the Azure Blue layout, and I see options for the Printer and browse buttons below the Search box, but I don't see options for adding expand all/collapse all buttons.Is this functionality available in RoboHelp 2019 (Classic) for the Responsive HTML5 output?  If yes, where?  Am I missing it because I am looking at the screen layout and not the skin?  My Output Setup tab lists "Azure_Blue" under "Screen Layouts" but not under "Skins". Do I need to add "Azure_Blue" under "Skins"?  If y

For our next release of our application, we upgraded the RoboHelp 2017 WebHelp to RoboHelp 2019 Classic. We now want to revert the new help file back to RoboHelp 17 due to legal and popup display issues we have encountered (long story).I know it is possible to open the RoboHelp 19 Classic file with RoboHelp 17. Does Adobe support this downgrade?For our legal department, I need an “official” statement from Adobe that this is OK.Someone from Adobe: Please provide that statement or direct me to an individual I can call.

I've been trying out the new frameless output, added in update 8. Overall, it provides a good experience and eliminates several drawbacks of the responsive Indigo layout. However, I've encountered several issues with it:1. Favorites not working correctly when html files are put into foldersIf project html files are organized into folders, this causes issues with favorites in the generated output: after you add a topic, located in a folder, to favorites (using the Set as Favorite button), and then try to open the favorites topic by following the generated link in the Favorites pane, the resulting link is broken, because the hyperlink also contains the folder of the topic where you are currently located, which is not necessary. For example:- topic one: helpsite.com/FolderOne/TopicOneName.htm - this topic is added to favorites- topic two: helpsite.com/FolderTwo/TopicTwoName.htm - the topic where you are located when trying to open the saved favorite topic- when trying to open the topic on
