I publish my RoboHelp 2015 project in Responsive HTML5. It has come to my attention that the search bar is not working on some computers using Internet Explorer 11. Users would search a common word and it would come up with "Searching 0%". This issue is not happening with Google Chrome at all. In some computers, the search bar is working correctly with both IE11 and Chrome.Any ideas what could be the issue with IE11? Any tips?Help!
Hello,I recently started working with Robohelp (2019 release)...Some of the common features that I'm used to when working with Creative Cloud apps are missing though. Like rotaing images. Is there any possibility to rotate pictures in RoboHelp? The path over Photoshop takes a really long time, considering I use many images in my project.I hope someone can help my with my issue.Kind regards,Pascal R.
Dear All,Do the function buttons to create a superscript or a subscript work?If yes, how can you make a character into a superscript/subscript.I tried by selecting the character and pressing the button, but nothing happens.I'm new to RH 2019 and am working with the Trial version.I can't find anything about it in the PDF documentation. Thanks in advance for feedback & solution.Regards,Carel.
I need to ouput my content to both HTML and PDF. The HTML one is working great, in that I have the topic title automatically added in the header of the master page, displays and works well in HTML. But when I try to use the same master page in the PDF output, I either get the very first page in the PDF with a header (but no footer) and no other page has either, or there is no header/footer in sight. How do I get the PDF output to accurately display the topic name at the start of the topic, and to display my footer on every page? I've tried every setting I can find under the PDF output, even messed with some that wouldn't seem likely, but nothing.
Hello again, RoboHelp Gurus!I'm experiencing a strange error using the rchl command line compile process in both RoboHelp 10 and RoboHelp 11.Here's the cmd I'm using:cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 10\RoboHTML"rhcl "C:\folder\project.xpj" -l "SSL_Name" -o "c:\outputfolder" -g "C:\log\folder\logfile.txt"When I generate the logfile from the cmd, I see an error "LILo: BIBCientInit failed to initialize" twice in the cmd prompt window while the compile is processing. The cmd prompt window looks like this:C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 10\RoboHTML> rhcl "C:\projectfolder\project.xpj" -l "SSL_Name" -o "c:\outputfolder" -g "C:\logfolder\logfile.txt" [PRESS ENTER]LILo: BIBCientInit failed to initializeLILo: BIBCientInit failed to initializeC:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 10\RoboHTML>The logfile.txt created has no mention of "LILo: BIBCientInit failed to initialize" within it. The compile builds without problem, as far as I can tell. The
Sorry if this is a duplicate question and I am just not seeing the obvious. I looked at post "How can I toggle view of drop-down texts in a topic for Responsive HTML5?" I see that it appears to address how to add RoboHelp's built-in functionality for expanding all/collapsing all drop-down texts using the Azure Blue layout in RoboHelp 2019. In that post, one person (Amebr) mentioned thinking the buttons appear below the search bar in the Azure Blue skin. I looked at the Azure Blue layout, and I see options for the Printer and browse buttons below the Search box, but I don't see options for adding expand all/collapse all buttons. Is this functionality available in RoboHelp 2019 (Classic) for the Responsive HTML5 output? If yes, where? Am I missing it because I am looking at the screen layout and not the skin? My Output Setup tab lists "Azure_Blue" under "Screen Layouts" but not under "Skins". Do I need to add "Azure_Blue" under "Skins"? If y
For our next release of our application, we upgraded the RoboHelp 2017 WebHelp to RoboHelp 2019 Classic. We now want to revert the new help file back to RoboHelp 17 due to legal and popup display issues we have encountered (long story).I know it is possible to open the RoboHelp 19 Classic file with RoboHelp 17. Does Adobe support this downgrade? For our legal department, I need an “official” statement from Adobe that this is OK.Someone from Adobe: Please provide that statement or direct me to an individual I can call.
I've been trying out the new frameless output, added in update 8. Overall, it provides a good experience and eliminates several drawbacks of the responsive Indigo layout. However, I've encountered several issues with it:1. Favorites not working correctly when html files are put into foldersIf project html files are organized into folders, this causes issues with favorites in the generated output: after you add a topic, located in a folder, to favorites (using the Set as Favorite button), and then try to open the favorites topic by following the generated link in the Favorites pane, the resulting link is broken, because the hyperlink also contains the folder of the topic where you are currently located, which is not necessary. For example:- topic one: helpsite.com/FolderOne/TopicOneName.htm - this topic is added to favorites- topic two: helpsite.com/FolderTwo/TopicTwoName.htm - the topic where you are located when trying to open the saved favorite topic- when trying to open the topic on
Hi, I use Robohelp 2019.I set 3 filter groups: Language (English, German), Technical (tech1, tech2) and Steps ( step1, step2). Then, I assigned these tags to the topics. In such a way, each topic has one selection of each filter group. For example, Topic one is tagged with English, tech1, and step2. And Topic 2 is tagged with german, tech2 and step2.My purpose is to enable the user to have only the topics which have exactly the selected filters. For example when he/she selects English, tech1 and step1 the topic 1 should appear; but when the user selects English, tech1, and step2, no topics should appear. The problem I actually have is that the filters are seemingly applied with "Or" relations between them on the home page. For example, when I select german, tech2 and step2 I have all the topics with german tag and the topics with the tech2 tag and the topics with step2 tag. In other words, I have almost all the topics on the homepage. Then, when I access to a topic page, I have no cont
Anyone having success upgrading into release 7 or 8?I've done this in earlier updates, but it's not working now, even on a simple project.Or, more accurately, it says it is converted, then hangs up trying to open the converted project.I've tried restarting Rh, but it still hangs while reading files.
Greetings! Our company is still looking into upgrading from Robohelp 9 to 2019, and so far we're strongly leaning towards the "Classic" version instead of "Release". I'd like to get the community's help with the following questions:GIT:Does anyone know if 2019 Classic can even be linked to GIT for version control? And if can't be, has anyone heard whether Adobe plans to make this available as a feature down the road?SharePoint Online:We were able to successfully connect RH 2019 Classic with SharePoint Server 2016. Our company may however move to SharePoint Online at some point, and we're worried as to what may happen. Have there been any hints from Adobe as to whether 2019 Classic and SharePoint Online will be integratable down the road?Thank you in advance for your help
I want to have a multilayered index like this:Tequila Tequila 3030 Tequila Julio Siete LeguasI have tried adding the sublayers as Sub Keywords, but when I generate the html5 it seems not to work. I have tried making the subkeywords cross reference to the header keyword, but that does not seem to work either. I feel pretty certain this can be made to work but I am probably overlooking something? .... Can anyone help?Best regardsBjørn
Hi guys,Does anyone have any experience with integrating chatbots with Robohelp output? Is it possible? Was it hard? what pitfalls did you come across? Lessons learned?Sorry for being a bit vague - one of those walking out the door 'by the way let's do this next week' discussions. Thanks,Amber
Hi there,I'm at a loss. I am generating a chm file using RoboHelp 2015 (all updates are installed). This help is context-sensitive, but when is all said and done, the help seems to go to the first page, not the page it is intended to go. I have read older posts to try deleting the .cpd file, but that has not worked. Are there any other suggestions out there? Thanks in advance!
I created a few custom colors for a project in RoboHelp 10. Is it possible to save, or export, the color palette, so that I can use the same colors in another project? Or do I have to create the colors again?
Hi again,This time, I selected a word in a paragraph (Polycom). I applied the Bold format by clicking the "B" button. The word was formatted, but a space was added at the left of the word. This space can't be selected. Also, by clicking the "Bold" icon, an underline appeared under the word. Both formats can't be remove by clicking the "B" or "U" icons. Have the delete the Span codes. Why the extra undeletable space and why the unrequested underline?Cheers!
Just installed Robohelp 2019. I can't find an option to display the ruler over the editor. I want to adjust the hanging indent on a list by dragging it on the ruler, and I can't find the Display Ruler setting. It isn't under View > Show, where I'd expect it. Where is it now? Also, there's apparently no Quick Access Toolbar any longer. How do I create shortcuts to functions?
I am currently experiencing issues with output in RoboHelp 2019. Since upgrading our project to the new 2019 version from the 2015 version, our condition expressions no longer appear to work when outputting. The issue appears to be where a condition expression has more than one condition tag which is set to 'Include', topics which should not be are excluded from the output. All topics we want to eventually have included in the output are added to the TOC. But while the topics are in the draft process condition expressions are added to them via the TOC and 'Contents' folder to exclude them from our 'issue' expression and include them in our 'draft' expression. However, we have discovered that topics are being incorrectly excluded at all times, regardless of the expression rules in use. The projects and output settings we are using have been upgraded from RoboHelp 2015 to 2019 and were working perfectly fine prior to the upgrade. But now we find ourselves unable to successfully create new
I am using the new version of RoboHelp 2019 and have found that since upgrading from the Classic version the condition expressions do not appear to be working correctly. I have found that where my condition expression includes more than one condition tag which is set to 'Include' content, the output doesn't work. Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it or is this a known bug in the new RoboHelp?
Having an issue - I'm generating webhelp with RH2017 (using customized version of Azure_Blue for output,) and as often occurs some of the artwork has changed as the project has progressed: the favicon being one of the changes. I deleted the old favicon and replaced it with the new one, but the old one keeps showing up in the HTML5 output. It's not a cache issue from what I can tell as other users who have never accessed the webhelp before are seeing the old icon as well when I post it up on a server.Anyone have any ideas?
We are running RoboHelp 2015 and are creating responsive HTML 5 output. We publish our help on the RoboHelp server and also have a copy installed locally on the machine where the application is installed. We have a password on the RoboHelp server that we pass in the call from the applications and if the server is not available, we fail back to the locally installed help. We call the same help from our Windows GUI and our browser application. After installing the Windows update mentioned in the title, when we attempt to call help from our Windows GUI, the help and GUI crash. Calling help from our browser application works just fine. If we uninstall the Windows update, the help call from the Windows GUI works again. From the details on the Windows update, it appears that one of the areas worked on was security. One of our developers suspects how RoboHelp authenticates using cross-origin resource sharing. Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) - HTTP | MDN Is anyone else having issues after
I've never added audio files to a KB before. Scenario is we can no longer support .mp3 files where we currently have them, so I offered to host them. I am doing this for .pdf files as well. With PDF files, I just upload them as baggage files, then give them the URL, and they link to it. Works like a dream. I tried to do that with .mp3 files, but it didn't work. So I created a page "audio", loaded the .mp3 files and was going to share the URLs. Tested with one .mp3 and it worked perfectly. After adding the next 8, when I published, it still only saw the first one. And when I viewed the audio file on my KB, it was simply named ".mp3" instead of "baseband1.mp3", etc. So, instead of following the process I found here - https://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/2019/robohtml/robohelp_classic_2019_help.pdf , I wrote out each file name in my audio file and linked using the media option.I figured out how to resolve as you can see, but can someone explain to me why this happens?cannot load a .mp3 as
I just upgraded a project from RH 2019 Classic to RH 2019 and I'm having trouble using the custom list styles I created in the CSS. These styles worked perfectly well in RH 2019 Classic, but when I try to apply them in RH 2019 1. the style isn't applied, 2. if I double click the style more than a few times in a row the entire app freezes. In my CSS file I have a few bullet styles that look like this (for Bullet, Bullet 2, ListNumber1, ListNumber2, etc):LI.p-Bullet { list-style: disc outside; margin-left: 10px; text-align: left; background-color: transparent; margin-top: 5px;}p.Bullet { padding: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 3px;}LI.p-Bullet P { padding: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 3px;}I confess to being mystified by why I need 3 styles to do one
Hello,I'm sure the answer is NO, but my DEV/Business team is asking me to find this out. We are creating Responsive HTML5 documentation w/ RH2017. Does anyone know whether Adobe offers a cloud-hosting service to allow customers to host their generated help systems in their cloud? I think our team is trying to find the best location to host our docs, and the question came up whether Adobe offered any service like this. I cannot find it anywhere on the Adobe.com site if they do.Thank you,Tabby W.
