RoboHelp

I am using the new version of RoboHelp 2019 and have found that since upgrading from the Classic version the condition expressions do not appear to be working correctly. I have found that where my condition expression includes more than one condition tag which is set to 'Include' content, the output doesn't work. Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it or is this a known bug in the new RoboHelp?

Having an issue - I'm generating webhelp with RH2017 (using customized version of Azure_Blue for output,) and as often occurs some of the artwork has changed as the project has progressed: the favicon being one of the changes. I deleted the old favicon and replaced it with the new one, but the old one keeps showing up in the HTML5 output. It's not a cache issue from what I can tell as other users who have never accessed the webhelp before are seeing the old icon as well when I post it up on a server.Anyone have any ideas?

We are running RoboHelp 2015 and are creating responsive HTML 5 output. We publish our help on the RoboHelp server and also have a copy installed locally on the machine where the application is installed. We have a password on the RoboHelp server that we pass in the call from the applications and if the server is not available, we fail back to the locally installed help. We call the same help from our Windows GUI and our browser application.After installing the Windows update mentioned in the title, when we attempt to call help from our Windows GUI, the help and GUI crash. Calling help from our browser application works just fine. If we uninstall the Windows update, the help call from the Windows GUI works again. From the details on the Windows update, it appears that one of the areas worked on was security. One of our developers suspects how RoboHelp authenticates using cross-origin resource sharing. I've never added audio files to a KB before. Scenario is we can no longer support .mp3 files where we currently have them, so I offered to host them. I am doing this for .pdf files as well. With PDF files, I just upload them as baggage files, then give them the URL, and they link to it. Works like a dream. I tried to do that with .mp3 files, but it didn't work. So I created a page "audio", loaded the .mp3 files and was going to share the URLs. Tested with one .mp3 and it worked perfectly.After adding the next 8, when I published, it still only saw the first one. And when I viewed the audio file on my KB, it was simply named ".mp3" instead of "baseband1.mp3", etc. So, instead of following the process I found here - https://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/2019/robohtml/robohelp_classic_2019_help.pdf , I wrote out each file name in my audio file and linked using the media option.I figured out how to resolve as you can see, but can someone explain to me why this happens?cannot load a .mp3 as

I just upgraded a project from RH 2019 Classic to RH 2019 and I'm having trouble using the custom list styles I created in the CSS. These styles worked perfectly well in RH 2019 Classic, but when I try to apply them in RH 2019 1. the style isn't applied, 2. if I double click the style more than a few times in a row the entire app freezes.In my CSS file I have a few bullet styles that look like this (for Bullet, Bullet 2, ListNumber1, ListNumber2, etc):LI.p-Bullet {     list-style: disc outside;     margin-left: 10px;     text-align: left;     background-color: transparent;     margin-top: 5px;}p.Bullet {     padding: 0px;  margin-top: 0px;     margin-bottom: 3px;}LI.p-Bullet P {     padding: 0px;  margin-top: 0px;     margin-bottom: 3px;}I confess to being mystified by why I need 3 styles to do one

Hello,I'm sure the answer is NO, but my DEV/Business team is asking me to find this out. We are creating Responsive HTML5 documentation w/ RH2017. Does anyone know whether Adobe offers a cloud-hosting service to allow customers to host their generated help systems in their cloud? I think our team is trying to find the best location to host our docs, and the question came up whether Adobe offered any service like this. Hi,When I select a word or words within a paragraph and apply Bold on it, either in Author or code modes, it will Underline the selected text.The same thing will happen if I try to underline a word or multiple words in a paragraph. The selection will underline and will be Bold.How can I avoid that?Thanks,

I noticed some odd behaviour with the search recently. Any time you first search for a string containing a stop word, it doesn't return any result and instead displays the error message "The search string you typed is not valid."If I then refresh the page or hit Enter again, the search results come up as expected.I've tried creating a new project with only 2 topics and the same thing happens there. Even removing the stop words from the "Stop Words" list doesn't seem to do anything.Any suggestions?Thanks,Simon

How can I see if and when the OUTPUT has completed? I did right click on the executing output preset and selected the VIEW Log and nothing happens, tried the View Output and get message that OUTPUT is not generating "Do you want to generate" I selected generate....but yet the working progress bar is still moving and I can not tell when or if OUTPUT has completed.Thanks,Jackie

Renaming an image, field, or other file renames the file with FirstName.xxx. Sample: My Firstname is Bruno. All renamed files begins with bruno.ext (bruno.png, bruno.htm ...)The new file (bruno.ext) is moved outside the projet folders and the original file is deleted.French Version with tfs 2019 and Windows server 2019 VM.

I found a list of Robohelp file types, such as .hhk for the Index, and .glo for the glossary. However, I can't find anything for the file that contains all the Map ID assignments for context sensitive help. What is that file name or file extension?

I am using RoboHelp HTML responsive 2019 version 2019.0.7. Is there an easy way to find out if I am using a particular image in a particular topic? I have kept track of most of my images, however, I have run across an image and don't know which procedure (topic) it should go in and don't want to delete it for fear it may be used somewhere. On the other hand I don't want to hang on to images that are not being used anywhere in the Help System.Thank you

I rely heavily on the ability to create Word documents from RoboHelp. These are eventually converted to PDF. However, the ability to generate to DOC first is important because it allows me to control the formatting by mapping styles, including hyperlinks, and performing additional formatting in Word (using scripts). I would really like to use the new RoboHelp 2019, but the Printed Documentation limitations are preventing me from doing that. The PDF options seem extremely limited. What are the future plans and when are these expected? I was told in a Webinar that this feature is being worked on. I was told this again by an Adobe rep., who at first told me incorrectly that RoboHelp to DOC was available in RoboHelp 2019. But I looked through the list of patch enhancements and it doesn't seem to be there yet.

How is a "baggage" file created?I'm trying to include a font that isn't displaying properly in the CHUM output. "Arial Nova".I pasted the font file in with the project files at the same level as the .css.Are there special steps to creating a baggage file? If so, please advise - Thanks!

Hi everyone,I have a RoboHelp 2015 project. I need to remove the word 'flexlm' for a certain version, say 4.5. (That means, if I search 'flexlm', NO TOPIC containing the word 'flexlm' should show up in the output.) There are total 12 topics which contain this word. I hid the word by applying the conditional build tag "Remove_from_4.5" to this word, in 11 topics and 1 topic I left as it is. Then I applied the relevant conditional build expression, and generated Responsive HTML help output. So far so good. Now when I searched the recently hidden word 'flexlm' in the search box of this generated output, NO TOPIC should be shown-up. Hello,Adding more info to this Re: RH2019, Browser based Help Popup closes in Chrome. It seems there in a bug in Robo help. I reproduced this bug using simple HTML/JavaScript. Every time on click of other link, popup help window is closes in Chrome. Note: I waffled between putting this in this forum or the chm forum... went here because it only happens when I convert a webhelp to chm. I emailed support and talked to them via IM. Never ever received a response via email, and the IM support person said they would call me by eod and never did. (side question, why is support so unsupportive these days?)RoboHelp Classic 19. Patched all the way up.I built a web help using an existing template modified to our color scheme and icons. Everything worked fine.I then used the Webhelp to CHM Conversion tool. Everything seemed to work fine, but clicking search gives this "Unable to get property 'toUpperCase' of undefined or null reference. It tells me which line the error happens on and which character. This error is a showstopper, as no matter which option I select, the search DOES NOT WORK. I tried the same thing with every single skin available, same error. Good afternoon ladies and gents,Latest issue I picked up with RH2019, and I'm thinking it should have a simple fix.  The indentation of paragraphs is incomplete.  I want to indent the entire paragraph, but only the first line is indented.  It's not like this on the Classic layout and I assume it's because of a change in how the CSS is handled.  Before I could just select the whole section and hit tab, but now I have to click the Indent button and it's not working like it should.  Just one question:  How do I fix it?  Google isn't helping...Example of issue:

Last week I installed the latest version of the Tech Comm suite, which includes RoboHelp 2019. My previous version was RH11. I converted a small project (5 topics) and that worked fine. I've been able to figure out how to edit the topics and add images, etc.The skin from my old project cannot be converted. So I created a new skin and I'm trying to modify it to be similar to my old one. The only options for new skins are "Frameless Skin" and "HTML5 Skin." I chose an HTML5 option. I found some other forum topics that referenced a "WebHelp Skin" but that does not exist in my new RH version. (I am outputting to WebHelp if that makes a difference. The application the help is supporting is not responsive, so the help will not be either.)The heading on the skin is gigantic, and I cannot find a way to make the font size smaller. Only the color and font family options are available. Am I missing something? I'd rather not have a heading at all than one that's this large.
