Hi all,when I move around folders in RH 2019 to restructure my project (i.e., moving folders into a sub-folder), in many cases my links to the assets folder (css and images) are broken (they are then either missing one ../ or having it too often). However, moving folders does not always break the links, so it is not a solution to simply also move the assets folder into the sub-folder. I am not moving the folders around in the explorer, but inside RH.Does anyone else have this problem? Am I doing it somehow wrong? I am confident that restructuring files and folders worked pretty well in RH 2017. Best regardsKarin

I can´t import my files to Robohelp trial version 2019. Why? I start by open project, but it´s not possible to make an import of the files...

RoboHelp 2017 13.0.2.334Windows 10Background:When we localize a Help project, we send our Localization Department our entire Help project. They localize what they need to and send it back. At that point, we make a copy of the English project we had sent them and then copy all the localized content on top of it. Then we change the project's language and the ssl's language to the target language and regenerate. We've been doing this for years now and it typically works without a problem.The Problem:We have received some localized files for one of our larger projects (approx 2500+ topics but not many images). When I change the language in project settings the project is unresponsive for a very long time. Clicking on the project at this point crashes it. If I leave it alone, it sometimes finishes whatever process it is doing. But what is it doing? Is it modifying something in each .htm file under the hood that's causing it to seem unresponsive? If so, what exactly?

I've installed version RoboHelp 2017. It works fine with the project files.A colleague of mine is going to take over the work wtih the files.He has installed Robohelp 2019 (trial version). He's not able to open my project file.Actually we could open the file, but all pages were empty. The pages were marked a red cross.What to do? Is it because of the trial version - or are the versions not compatible??

I'm not sure when my RH updated but on version 2017 13.0.2.234 my ability to drag and drop a topic or bookmark as a hyperlink into a topic is not working. A co-worker is also using RH 2017 but her version is 13.0.0.257 and the drag and drop hyperlinking works. Does anyone know if there is patch to fix this or do I have to use the long road to create a hyperlink from the menu? Can the version update be removed and put back to the previous version?

Hi,Inside a Dropdown box, at the start and the end of the inserted text, a blue doted line appears when you scroll over the first and last line of the text. When you place your cursor over the blue box on the right side, if you click the box, a new paragraph will be created.This option is not needed and is annoying. If I need a new paragraph at the beginning or the end of the of the Dropdown text box, I will press Enter or add paragraph tags (<p> <\p>) in the source.What do you think?Cheers!Pierre

Hi everyone,I've recently upgraded to RoboHelp 2019 - which seems great so far. However, I thought I remember the ability to have topics blend across pages in previous RoboHelp versions - and not force a page break for each new topic.Right now, I have an 'all or nothing' problem: My topics are fairly short, which means I have tons of empty white space on each page after the topic has concluded. In some instances, I have merged topics where appropriate - but if that causes the page to overrun, I suddenly have three lines on the following page followed by tons of white space (due to the page break).Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions are how they manage their content in this respect?

Hi all,I just switched from RH 2017 to RH 2019. I quite frequently used the "global" serach and replace functionality that allowed me to search over all topics in my project and defining whether to search in the source code or the text. I cannot find this function in RH 2019 though. I only find the search and replace function for the one topic that is in focus. Does anyone know if this function has not yet been implemented? Is it planned for the future? Or am I simply not finding it?Thanks for any help in advance!Karin

I have recently upgraded to RH 7 from X5. I have XP and use Word 2003. I am experiencing an error that I, and according to Adobe, they, have never seen before: HC3033: Warning: C:\helpfiles\MFACT Help\FAS 157 Mapping.hh : The Topic ID "#define" contains invalid characters. The #, =, >, @, !, or \°haracters cannot be used in a WinHelp version 4.0 source file. This results in the offending document not being able to be context sensitive. This error only applies to brand new topics created in RH7 and that have been assigned a Map ID. If there is no Map ID assigned, this error does not come up. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that RH seemingly "cannot open word" when first opening up RH. I know this is generally a template issue - all of my templates are safely out of my project folder and in the appropriate folder in Documents and Settings. Anybody ever seen this one before?

Hi,I must tell you that I'm having a very hard time to moderate myself. When I click anywhere in the text, RH will select the lettre on the right of the cursor?????!!!!!My question is      WHY????? How do I deactivate this thing????By what magic did this happen?Pierre

I have trouble understanding how "Index" works in RoboHelp 2019.Index can be accessed1: as a panel on the left and2: as a dropdow under Topics Properties.When I open a topic and copy-paste a word into the index panel on the left side and an add it to the Index it appears with a keyword icon. Now - according to the User Manual this new index word is supposed to also appear in the Topics Properties on the right side. Only it does not.IF I use Topics Properties and the Index dropdown to add my index words, my Index words appear correctly in the index on the left with an icon and a link to the topic.When I publish to html5, only the index word which have a link to a topic comes along to the index pane i HTML5. The words I put in the index on the left are gone. They do not even appear when searching the index in HTML5.This seems like an inconsistency to me. I suppose there is a deeper meaning but I can't figure out what that is. Also I wonder why it is not possible to right click a word and

Hi,1- Content of Drop-down box has no spellcheck text. 2- Selected some, not all, of the text that is in a Drop-down box. 3- Went into the source window. I changed nothing and went back to the Author window. Spellcheck applied for entire Drop-down box content.Why is it doing that? Maybe it would be a good idea to completely remove the Spellcheck option.I do not want to press F7 to try to remove the spellchecker option because I have Ignored out all the spell checks in all my documents. I do not want to risk reapplying them.I requested the release 7 update to our main office.Also, in the source page, is there a way to remove the Spellcheck option?Thanks,Pierre

Last week I successfully imported a FrameMaker book into a RoboHelp project using the "Create new project from FrameMaker Book" option.Today I attempted to convert another FrameMaker project using the same method, but after 5 minutes or so, it resulted in the error: "Failed to import FrameMaker Document. If this problem continues, contact technical support."I attempted to import the book then using the File > Import > FrameMaker Document and selecting Book. Same result.I attempted to import just a single document from the FrameMaker book in this way, and again the same result.What can I try next?

Context: RH 2019 - WebHelp outputNewbie question here.I'm new to RH2019 and I am experimenting with the skin designer. I replaced the default logo (blue circle) with the company logo. No matter how large I make the source graphic, the image comes through extremely small in the output.The yellow rectangle is where the image displays.I can't see any settings to specify the size of the image. Any clues on where to fix this?

I have one RoboHelp 9 Project that is now failing to print the Printed Documentation (doc/docx file). It worked 2 months ago. The generated chm is fine. There could have been some Word copy/pastes but I've removed any "mso" html. It's failing at the same point each time so I've reviewed the html tab in that topic and the ones above it but don't see any issues. I've even removed the topic/file that seems to be the problem and it wasn't fixed. Hi,Currently I am using RoboHelp 11. My project requires to generate PDF and Word outputs on regular basis. However, with my utter surprise, I have found that both Printed Documentation and PDF generation options are deactivated for me!When I am trying to generate PDF output (File >> Generate >> PDF Output) then PDF output generation option is appearing as inactive:In addition, when I am trying to generate the Word output by clicking Printed Documentation option from the Single Source Layouts pod, RoboHelp is giving me an error message that I need to install MS-Word 2000 or later version, though I am currently using Word 2016: It would be great if anybody can provide me the solution to get the printed documentation and PDF generation activated for me.Thanks in advance!

We have a merged parent project with 2 child projects within it.The responsive html5 output works as expected.However, when we try to take a printed documentation output of the parent project (hoping it will output both the child projects in the PDF/Doc) it looks ilke it is not doable.Any tips on how to get this?

One thing I noticed in using new RH2019 is that topics cannot be viewed side-by-side. Does anyone know if this feature will be brought forward to the new application. I really liked having that feature in the older versions of RH. Or is that available and I just haven't found it yet.thanks

I am using RoboHelp 2019 Classic, and our help project has been around for a long time in RH.  Many years ago, we had the Malformed Topics failure with generating a Word docx from RH, which we resolved by using the RHStyleMapping.CSS.  So we haven't had this failure in generating a Word doc in years.  until now.There are several small topics, plus a gigantic one that we are trying to convert to Word. The gigantic topic is a 25-page table that is generated in Word where it is then converted into HTML.  We all know what happens with that conversion (!!), but we had no choice for this particular list. (This list is important, since it is given to our customers and is required - it is a list of all the fixes in our application covering 4 different versions, thus the 25-page length.)  So, anyway - I am suspecting all those Word codes in there as well as just the sheer length of that one table.  We are getting the infamous "Warning: The Word Document became corr

I have been using RH for years and had to upgrade to RH 2019...not of my choice.  Is there any way other than changing the display properties on my laptop to resize the topic windows (panels)?  The cursor does have the edge grabs but when I drag to resize nothing happens.  Thank you.

Hello everyone,Is it possible to insert a 'related topics' section that includes the page number for that topic, automatically generated?Having related topics is great, but, at present, the user is forced to return to the table of contents to find its location.Or is there another way around this?(I'm still new to RoboHelp).
