Hi, I have four TOCs: A, B, C, and D.For example, A contains 10 topics, B contain 7 topics, C contains 3 topics, and D contains 3 topics. Some topics are shared between TOCs.Now, when I am generating a chm for TOC A, the TOC appears fine. From the Search tab in the chm, if I do a search with some common words like and, the, and so forth, the search result displays also topics that are part of the other TOCs (may be B, C, or D). Is there a way to stop these topics of other TOCs to appear in the serach result?I need this because all the TOCs are for different customers and some topics should be hidden from each other. Please let me know if it requires more clarification. Thanks in advance,Jignesh
Hi,I have an unexpected issue with generating WebHelp output from the RoboHelp project. The needed stylesheet doesn't apply to the topics in output, although this stylesheet is applied to all topics in the project. This is an old project that has previously been generated multiple times with no issues. But we have recently upgraded to RoboHelp 2015, and that's when the issue arised. Can the upgrade be related to the output issue? If yes, could you advise how to fix this? Or any other possible fixes will be appreciated, as we are approaching the project deadline, and this is critical.Thank you,Oksana
Is there a way to find out the link paths in an hlp file?We are converting hlp files using RH's import feature. However, it looks like RH removes links it cannot resolve when you import, and I need to recreate these links. Is there a way to look at the link properties in the hlp files to determine where the old link points?Thank you!Cindy
I am trying to publish my Robohelp project via command line and all of the files appear to be copied to the deployment location correctly. However, when opening the index.htm page, I do not see any of the other pages in the project in the "index" section. It looks like the pages are not linked appropriately via command line. When I publish from within the Adobe Robohelp application, everything shows in the "index" section correctly. Here are the variations of the cmd statements I have tried running:rhcl "MyRoboHelpProject.xpl" -p servername rhcl "MyRoboHelpProject.xpl" -l "WebHelp" -p servername rhcl "MyRoboHelpProject.xpl" -l "WebHelp" -p servername -o PathOnServer

Hi, there(especially Captiv8r_)(After i found out you are the only one who answers in this Robo forum lol)I'd like to make hyperlinks to the specific paragraph of the specific topic, not to just entire topic.I see there is a "Bookmark" function in the manual, but it looks like the bookmarks is only linked within the topic, not between topics. Is there anyway i could make bookmarks link to between topics, ormake hyperlinks to the specific paragraph of the specific topic?Thank you in advance.!
Hi! I cannot import .docx files into RoboHelp 2015. When I go to locate the file on my drive via Import --> Word Document in RoboHelp, these documents do not show up as a recognized file type. Only .doc files show up. In the example below, I had converted a .docx file into a .doc file. Both versions (the .docx and the .doc files) are located in this folder, but the .docx file is not visible.Does this mean I will need to convert every single .docx file into a .doc file before I can import it into RoboHelp?I am using Word 2010.
I install 2017, restart, launch RoboHelp 2017 and it opens fine. I close the app and attempt to reopen it. Nothing happens. There is no process, no nothing. I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to launch again but the second time continues to fail to open. I installed update 1 and it continues to happen with update 1. Any ideas?

In Robo 11, when generating WebHelp, the toc and index are not accesible. The buttons are there, but they're not active.
Hello. I have just found that I'm no longer able to generate Printed Documentation. I have RoboHelp 11 and MS Office 2016 365. I am completely up to date with both my Adobe and MS Office updates. I'm running RoboHelp on a 64 bit machine. When I attempt to do just about anything with the Printed Documentation Single Source Layout (such as Generate, View, Properties), I get the following error: "A supported version of Microsoft Word does not exist. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer."Please let me know how I can produce a printed document (.docx or .pdf) for my users. Thank you.
I have installed RH 2015 an Word 2016. I can`t create an Printed Documentation. Is it a problem?
Hi there,Currently, I'm using an Indigo layout for my project, which builds breadcrumbs pretty well by default. Hovewer, It's not possible to move anywhere around my Help by clicking the breadcrumb links. They look like links, but seem not to be working. For example, clicking Section One in the breadcrumbs area does nothing, while clicking Section One in TOC opens the corresponding default topic for this folder.Any idea how to fix it?
Using RoboHelp 2015. When I have a sublevel index (index entry under a primary entry), the sublevels indent as I would anticipate. But, my colleague who is working with a copy of the same project does not have that format. For her, all of the index entries align to the left. I have looked at her skin and mine, and noticed we have different formats. What can we change in her setting to make sure the sublevel index entries indent like mine?
Is there a quick way to get a count on the number of variables in a project? I am using RoboHelp 2015. I really, really, really dont want to have to manually count every variable in the UDV pod.
Dear All,I am a quite new user of RoboHelp and I am particularly interested in the tool's reporting capabilities. I need to be able to report the most opened articles, the most searched articles, and the most searched keywords.Going through the out of the box reports, I didn't find any report that could satisfy 100% these requirements, so, do you know if it is possible to report the list of the most opened, searched topics and Keywords? Many thanks in advanceVajk
Hello everyone. I'm experiencing an issue with Robohelp 2015 using the responsive HTML 5 layout. For audit purposes, all of the pages in our knowledge base are linked to MS Word documents. Unfortunately, changes to a document aren't being pushed to the RoboHelp generated output. If a page is deleted and re-linked, they work fine, but, due to the way we have our KB structured, it would take hours to do this.I hope there's a way around this. In my experience with RoboHelp, once an issue appears, it will likely become commonplace.Let me know if more information is needed and thanks in advance for the assistance.
Hi all,I'm using RoboHelp HTML 2015. I'm generating using a customized WebHelp layout and converting to a CHM, but the index is not indenting the sub-entries. The index does not appear to be in alphabetical order (even though it is). I have tried outputting to different WebHelp skins (WebHelp and CHM converted to WebHelp) and they all have this problem unless I select Pure HTML. I 'd prefer to use DHTML > Pure HTML to keep the Synch TOC and Search Box in Toolbar options. The same index in CHM files not converted from WebHelp and HTML5 output looks as it should. How can I control the way the index entries and sub-entries appear in WebHelp?WebHelp with the incorrect index formatting:CHM with correct index formatting:Bonus question: At least one of my index entries shows a popup when you select it. None of the other entries do this. How can I avoid this popup from appearing on any of my entries?
I have a scenario where currently there is a 300 pages MS Word document with API documentation. Currently we convert the word to a PDF and release it as an API Guide/Web Services Guide.Maintaining this information in a word is tedious.Has anyone used Robohelp for documenting APIs? Are there any recommended best practices/suggested templates/tips and tricks to document APIs in Robohelp? The output is not yet decided yet if we want t Webhelp/PDF/CHM. But it shall be one of these three.Any suggestions/pointers would be helpful.

I hope someone can help me. I was using RoboHelp 9 before and recently got the trial version for RoboHelp 2017. When I opened my project using 2017, it asked if I wanted to import and upgrade my project so I went ahead and did that. My previous project under RoboHelp 9 was in WebHelp layout. However, in 2017, we are trying to generate and publish the same content in Responsive HTML5 layout. I created a new "layout" for my existing project file and was able to generate and publish the old webhelp to the Indigo theme for responsive HTML5. However, these project file feeds/publishes to a master project file. When I open up the master project file and try to generate/publish it, RoboHelp 2017 freezes and stops working. The popup says "Generating content 'Content'... and freezes. If it helps, the "Output view" says "Processing Full-text search data..." and then that's when the popup appears. Another popup appears and says "Adobe RoboHelp 2017 has stopped working" and then I have to close th
Hi, I need to add text to an image in RoboHelp 2017, and subsequently edit the image, to change the language of the added text. I don't think this is possible in RoboHelp 2017, which appears to only allow the following image formats: .gif, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe and .bmp, which cannot be edited in this way. Please could someone confirm whether I can do this in RoboHelp 2017 please?
Hi all,my search results show internal comments from topic properties. How can I prevent this?I'm working with RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.4.460)and Windows Version 10.0.14393 Build 14393Thanks!
Hello,Here is a scenario:I have Robohelp version 2017 installed on my local machine and I have few other team members using Robohelp version 2015. We update the same help source.I update the help content on my machine by using RH version 2017 and generate a webhelp 2015 output.I check it in the source control. The admin takes the most updated source of the help files on the build server and generates a webhelp and then integrates it with the product. He uses Robohelp 2015 to generate the webhelp. The question is, will step 3 give an error or pose any risks/issues? Reason: I generated a 2015 web help from RH 2017 software and the admin generates a 2015 web help from RH 2015 software.Any thoughts if anyone has tried anything like this?
Our company migrated from shared drives to a cloud-based file repository for shared information. Previously, I could publish Webhelp to a folder on a network shared drive and then people could click the help.htm file to launch the help in a browser and navigate content. This was helpful to get product owner review and feedback prior to formally committing the files in the CM tool for the application build process. We no longer have shared drives, we use Box to manage shared files. I tried copying the output folder to Box and then opening the help.htm file in a browser but it does not work. I am guessing that this cloud-based method adds a layer of identification to the files that prevents the standard file association that RoboHelp expects from working properly. Is there a way to launch Webhelp from a cloud-based file repository?
