I have numerous conditional build tags and they work wonderfully except ---- the hidden information becomes available when using the search feature. Can someone help with what setting I might be missing?

We license some fonts from myfonts.com for use in our Responsive HTML 5 help. The fonts are referenced in our main project .css and in the layout.css that controls the layout styles. At the top of both .css files we must include the following @1552174 code before the @11220649-face declaration for the custom fonts: @1552174 url("//hello.myfonts.net/count/xxxxxx");I believe this allows myfonts.com to track the number of page views that reference the font.In RoboHelp 2015, the fonts displayed as expected in the Responsive HTML5 output. However, after generating the same output in the trial version of RH 2017, the fonts only display for styles defined in the layout.css (such as the TOC). The main topic content does not load the fonts as expected and falls back to Arial, which is the second font specified in font-family attributes in our main project .css.In the Chrome dev console, there is an error message "Failed to Load resource: net:: " that references the @1552174 URL.Any ideas what co
I'm using RoboHelp 2015 Version 12.0.4.460 on Windows 7. I'm looking at the project in the RoboHelp viewer as well as Internet Explorer.I have created a Responsive HTML output with a custom layout and style sheet. This project also has a webhelp_pro layout that we used to use.My custom layout has back and forward buttons defined in the Functionbar (Desktop) along with the print button. They are actually the same as the charcoal grey layout as I based my layout on that. The print button is visible. My Window has Back and Forward buttons selected but behind the Back and Forward checkbox is (Skin: nameofskin). For example: Forward (Skin: Corepoint Skin 2011a). I don't believe the Responsive HTML5 uses skins but I haven't found a way to change that to use the items defined in the layout. I can't help but feel there is some conflicting information in the output somehow.Additional note: I've also tried it with one of the shipped layouts, Azure Blue, and I do not get the back and forward butto
Hi,My company is using RoboHelp since three years with four user licenses. We have 4 Product Help files written in RoboHelp, which is a huge write-up. We use the RoboSource Control to check in all our Source files. The version that was installed and last upgraded onto one of my team member's system was 12.0.2.384. This version is being used since three years.Recently three more writers joined the company and installed RoboHelp. By default, an upgraded version 12.0.2.428 has been installed on the three systems.Since one system comprises of the downgraded version which is being used for three years, my manager is more comfortable with the older version and feels riskier to upgrade to the higher version, as she is worried that the help files may comprise of broken links if upgraded. The write-up is also huge, and we do not have enough bandwidth to resolve any broken links or any other kind of issues. Also, it is riskier to depend on only one system comprising of the downgraded version to
Hi guys,When I run my help application, developped with RoboHelp 11 using Responsive HTML5 layout, I have the Ms-Internet Explorer message: 'Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls' If I click on 'Allow blocked content...', that message disappear, and everything works fine. But I want to find a way not showing this message.Thank you for your help.
I need to remove DHTML effect (Expandable Collapsible text) from over 100s of topics from multiple RoboHelp projects without losing the content added by applying these effects. Can anyone please suggest a script that I can run to bring all the content in plain HTML?
I am just starting with RoboHelp 2015, and I need some questions answered about how to get the output I want. We currently use RoboHelp 7, and generate HTML help as a chm. What we want now is to generate two separate files, one HTML5, and our webmaster would like to generate XML to automatically upload to the Web.We want the HTML5 version to be filtered, so we'll need to use conditional tags. The online version will contain everything. We want users to be able to filter the content once published. We also want the output to be responsive. I want our Help to look like the Whirl example (I will create new CSS).I am thinking that both outputs will have to be HTML5 and our Web person is going to have to figure out how to automate uploading that to the Web instead of XML. Am I correct in this? Thanks!!
Hi,We have one RoboHelp projects, one in french and one in English. For each projects, we have 6 different outputs (SSL) (contents specific for 3 different provinces and 2 server Live / Developpement). We choosed the the Blue Calibri Skin, we have RoboHelp Server 9,0,1 and every author have the same and last version of Robo client. We generate our 6 outputs (SSL) using the Batch Generation tool. All the output are configured exactly the same, except for the server choice and the Conditionnal constructions Tags. We publish with WebHelpPro output. We have problem with the output once it is published on the server.- Search bar does not appear- Boxes to select the "AND research" does not appear- Print button does not appear- Search results are better in the local version.- Font appear to be different in the search results- Indications in the Search tools are not the same (Type in your question VS Type in the word(s) to search for)Here is the differences between the version we have locally VS
Some of my projects come up with red underlined text of German words. Others pop up with English being red underlined.German would be the preferred setting in this case, but some projects seem to be set up wrongly, making English the spell checking is made in.
I'm planning to have Context-sensitive help for our application and we need to know the design & interaction options for CSH. Can I manage the pop-up size, add components & change structure or it's limited to the form used in RH help itself? Also, I need to know if there samples for CSH behavior & outputs.
Basically, this keeps happening:Is there a way to keep this from happening in Responsive HTML5 output? I'm pretty sure this won't get past our QA, then we're really in trouble.
Hi,We are using RoboHelp to create Help files. Recently we came across an issue with hyperlinks. Different writers in the team work on different topics of the same help file. during release we merge the content and publish it. This time around we noticed, almost 80% of the hyperlinks are not working. This includes the links in the topics that hasn't been merged. We have fixed the issue by going through all the topics and fixing the links, but I am not able to find the root cause. These are not displayed in the Broken Links too.
RoboHelp 2015, output Responsive HTML5.When I open the help in Internet Explorer, IE saysIf I allow blocked content, everything is fine. If I don't, the help won't open. But I didn't include any ActiveX controls. Is IE referring to all the javascript files? Or is RoboHelp including some ActiveX controls?Thank you.Julia
Hi all,I am new to RoboHelp 2015/17. And I have created a series of small help projects all outputting to HTML5. Now, I have been asked by management to merge all of these projects into one big project so I can have one big searchable database of all of our products on one help site.Does anyone know practically how to do this?I have reviewed Adobe help files and they all talk about HTML, Adobe Air etc, but nothing about HTML5 outputs. My projects are all based on HTML5, so is there any resources I can access on how to do this? Thanks and kind regards,Luke
I need to know if there is a way to determine which .xpj file my Webhelp output was created from. Anyone know if this is stored in a file within the output structure somewhere?? Unfortunately, I have multiple copies of the same project and none of them seem to match the latest output and I need to track down the correct xpj file to work from in order to not lose work by recreating the project file from the output if it can be helped!!
I'm still using RH9 on a large project. Also have RH11 and 12 (2015) but for the moment my question should focus on RH).So far so good. Yesterday I have been working intensively on a bunch of pages (.htm) by opening each page, inserting aconditional tag (that named TODO) and left RH9 open over night thinking my changes were stored automatically. This morning I found that I was logged out of the machine and had to restart RH9. All of my changes were gone. When are changes stored in RH9? When you leave the app? Aren't they stored on the fly?Anyway, it has happened and now I'm seeking for a faster way to add that conditional TAG into the .htm file.Is there a way to insert something into the page quickly by, say one or two clicks? That way I can quickly glance at all pages once again, insertthat pattern and postprocess the files later with a batch grep/sed job.And there isn't a TAG condition like "output ONLY what is tagged under this condition", is it?--Christoph
The project is a merged HTML5 project. It lives on my C drive. The links in the search results page are not working properly. The first link that is clicked displays the correct page. Let's call it Page A.The second and all subsequent clicks on any link in the search results all display Page A.This problem occurs only when the help is invoked from the Help button in our product. The help works correctly on my C drive.Has anyone encountered this problem before? It's an odd one.I'm using RH 2015 12.0.4.460. All updates are installed.
Whenever I open a page for editing it opens in RH9 in its own tab. Having openened many HTM files results in as many tabs being open.Is there a way to adjust RH such that only one tab is opened and the previous being closed and stored automatically?
My colleague and I are the only two who work in the same RoboHelp 2015 project, which has version control through SharePoint. I have no problems opening topics, editing, generating a layout; however, my colleague cannot open any topics because she receives a prompt stating some files are checked out to another user. All my files are checked in.Her file status shows 3 .htm, as well as and .fpj, .apj, .hhc. xpj, and .hhk file checked out to another user. RoboHelp doesn't allow her to close the project after attempting to open a file.Any suggestions?
Are there predefined variables I can use in a page, like "this_page_name" or "this_chapter_name"?Imagine I want to put comments into pages and make them conditional,TODO: Hi, I am page "help.html"Later, when I build the, say, printed documentation, with Build tag "TODO" switched ON, I will only get a list of pages which have a TODO section and its respective contents together with the name of the page. Thanks,Christoph
Could anyone advise how to modify the Responsive HTML5 layout in RoboHelp 11. I need to change the position at which the left-hand side of the page is hidden as you reduce the width of the browser. It does not appear to be possible to change this setting within the GUI, although I assume you could directly modify the file which controls this setting. This is an important aspect of the Help content, so I would appreciate any advice on how to change it from the current, default settings. Thanks very much.
I couldn't locate the RH General forum but I am running RH Responsive HTML5. I am not able to compile in Chrome (56.0.2924.87) but Firefox is fine. It does that neverending blocky-wheel-of-death spin. Both RH (12.0.4.460) and Chrome are up to date.Anyone else experiencing this?
Using RH 11.0.4.291, I'm working in a Responsive HTML5 project. Several of the project's topics contain tables with more than 50 rows. These tables currently size appropriately, when the screen is reduced to the dimensions of a tablet or large phone. Due to the length of these tables, I would like to give them floating headers. I've seen HTML code snippets online that show how to do this, however I don't know if this functionality is supported in a Responsive HTML5 environment. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this effect? Thanks!
