Hi,I am using RH 2015 release 4 with the Charcoal_Grey layout. Even though I have use layout customization to turn Show Index to False, the index still shows in the preview and in the output.I checked usersettings.js and it shows the index as being hidden.//Variables to override in settingsvar useTOC = true;var useGLO = true;var useIDX = false;var useFilter = true;This happens with Azure_Blue, too.I found that I also cannot turn off the glossary or filter - similar situation.Thinking perhaps something had changed with this release, I got the latest Charcoal_Grey layout for RH 2015 from the Adobe website and imported it into my project. Experienced the same problem,This has worked in earlier RH versions, seems to just have popped up with release 4.I have a small sample project that demonstrates this.Meanwhile, can I do this manually someplace? Captiv8r I was experiencing the same problem as thread #TOC Navigation pane doesn't show in WebHelp Rh2015 , however, when I generate my WebHelp (in RH 9), "....index.html" isn't trucated on my start page file name, and appears correctly prior to publishing. Only when I publish to SharePoint 2013 does it hide the TOC pane. The "Show" link isn't visible on the start page - just the start page that doesn't have any links for the user to navigate. Can you perform your magic for this one?-Danni

The template is applied in the project, but when I generate to the RoboServer9, the template is not applied to topics.  I'm using RoboHelp10 with RoboServer9 generating Webhelp Pro.

Each chapter in FrameMaker generates is a single topic in RoboHelp.I'm generate an SSL WebHelp layout.I'm also using a custom CSS that is automapped to styles in the FrameMaker book.Breadcrumbs are generated using a master page that I apply to all topics from the SSL dialog (i.e., a breadcrumb place holder in the master page).In the SSL dialog, the breadcrumb option is turned OFF in the "Navigation" section of the SSL dialog.PROBLEM:Whenever I generate my WebHelp, I get breadcrumbs in all my topics (in the way I want them styled) EXCEPT one topic. No breadcrumb will display on that single topic. I'm using RoboHelp 2015.I have a number (about 2 dozen) of screen images that show in project manager with a red X. When I look in Windows Explorer, the images don't appear at all. Is there some way to retrieve the files or must I re-create them.In Sept, I create pdfs of this project and the images appeared fine. Now they seem to be gone.Thanks,MDawn

I am using Robohelp 2015 (12.0.4.454) with the Azure_Blue Responsive HTML5 SSL. The only modifications I have made to Azure_Blue are color and icon changes. When I resize the browser window in Chrome or Firefox to less than 950 pixels the TOC expands and the topic pane shrinks and becomes unreadable. Unreadable might not be a tremendous problem since we are attempting to navigate away from that topic, but the TOC growing to dominate the browser window seems unnecessary and distracting. In Internet Explorer, the TOC starts out immediately dominating the browser as shown in the second figure below.How do I change this behavior to get the TOC to assume a more reasonable size? As is, it looks pretty bad.

Hello to all!I'm trying to find a way to define the TOC key. The goal is to enable our customers to save own files in a defined folder (e.g. "External") that I provided with a sample file in the output we deliver. The customer then shall be able to 1) add own files to this folder and 2) adjust these files as "topics" so that they are displayed in the overall TOC of the help.We are providing a HTML5 help, created with Robohelp 2015 on a Windows 7 system, in case this is of interest here.I figured out the following: to achieve what I want, I simply have to add the new items to a file in the following folder of the output directory: whxdata. The additional folder "External" is referred to in the file toc.new.js, which leads me to the file toc40.new.js (the number here depends on where in the TOC the folder is located). In the file toc40.new.js, all elements of my folder are stated with display name and file path. I'm now able to simply add files to the folder "External" and add items to t

I have a Word file in this directory: s:\dir1\dir2\dir3\dir4\[name_of_DOC].docx). In that Word document, I created a link to a PDF that is stored in the same folder: s:\dir1\dir2\dir3\dir4\[name_of_PDF].PDF) With the Word document open, I can click the link in the Word doc and the PDF will open. Works perfect! The problem is when I generate Responsive HTML. The following is the HTML code that I see when I click the link to the PDF: file:////dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4/[name_of_PDF].pdf What do I need to do in order to have the PDF open? The PDF needs to reside in the s:\dir1\dir2\dir3\dir4 folder.

Unlike the WebHelp Settings dialog, the Responsive HTML5 Settings dialog doesn't contain a Use Lowercase File Names checkbox. This is causing me a problem with LINUX. Is there an easier way of overcoming this other than manually renaming files? What is the work around? Is there a technical reason as to why the Use Lowercase File Names option isn't included in the Responsive HTML5 Settings dialog?

I want to track the search terms used in WebHelp with Google Analytics. Within the Site Search Settings is a field Query parameter. Does anyone know what that parameter (or parameters) is for WebHelp? It is not obvious because the URL doesn't change; therefore, the parameter doesn't appear in the URL. I saw a previous post identifying the JavaScript file that might identify it, but I forgot its name and they never specifically mentioned the parameter and I couldn't tell what was what.Thank you.

I generated a frame-based WebHelp system in RoboHelp 11. Everything looks fine on my local drive when I launch it through IE or Firefox, and in all browsers when it's launched from a different server. However, when I open the help system locally through a Google Chrome browser, the primary content frame is blank. (The top.html and bottom.html appears just fine.) Help, please!

RoboHelp 2015: WebHelp outputI really like the way this skin (Orb) looks. However, I'm wondering how/where I can put footer type information such as support phone number, comment link, copyright date, etc. Any thoughts on this? How have others handled this?Thanks,MDawn

Hello all,I've inherited the Robohelp HTML projects from a tech writer who has moved on and is unavailable to help me.The online help for my projects is translated in as many as 20 languages but the images are not translated. Under the current process I zip the source files and submit them to the various translators, and receive back their translates in zip files. I submit, for example, the 20 zip files to the dev teams, and their forced to include 20 web help folders in their builds, and this makes for a lot of processing time, especially for a webhelp that has several hundred topics and an equal amount of images.I took the smallest of the webhelps (Connect) and placed all images in an Image folder in the following source file structure:English     !SSL!          Webhelp          ImagesImagesThis can result in the following sample structure to zip in one folder to send to the

I have a client who is having trouble with the RoboHelp 2015 Project File. It appears that something has been corrupted.  I have received the Project Files and the same thing has happened to on my laptop. Are there files that I can remove that would help resolve this situation? Something like this happened to me a long time ago and I thought I was able to remove one of the files and RoboHelp rebuilt the file when I reopened it. For the life of me I can't remember what it was. Here's the steps that I can reproduce again and again:1. Launch RoboHelp2. Click File > Open Project3. Navigate to Project File Location4. Select RoboHelp HTML Project File5. RoboHelp starts to open the File. The cursor goes into a loading spin, appearing like it is trying to load the files. But does nothing. Client has left it running for hours but nothing changes.6.  Then this appears

Help buttons in our product have redirection links associated with them to bring up window-specific topics (html files within the a Responsive HTML5 help output's html folder, stored on our web server). This setup previously worked okay when I was trying out Responsive HTML5 with a trial of RH11. The help button for a window opened up the correct topic based on what we' had associated with the help button in the product via its redirection link. This setup also has worked okay with the WebHelp output we have traditionally used for help output.We now have RH 2015 and this setup isn't working as desired with a Responsive HTML5 output. The URL's for any topic that help buttons in the product are supposed to open have text appended to them that cause the default topic for the help project to display rather than the intended topic. The 'default topic' being what I've designated in my help project's Responsive HTML5 Settings > Content window as default.Is there something that can be done

I have a client who created their WebHelp with the original version of RH 2015. The project file was updated by someone who had already updated their RH 2015... not sure what update they used. Likely Update 2 or 3 because this is a recent event. The result was that only new images were published. All previous content  images - created prior to the RH 2015 update, no longer displayed the images. At the moment the client still has one computer with the original version of RH 2015 on it so that is help. However, we need to do what we can to resolve this problem. They would like to update all of their RH 2015 to the latest version.Client also tried to generate a Word document from the RH file, however, the new content was included and the images in the old content are inconsistently included. When the same file is opened in RoboHelp you can see all of the images in the old and new content.Someone also attempted to open the project file in a latest version of RH and the files appear to

There is a #BSSC file in my current RH project folders (I have 2015 ow but had several older versions). I believe it's a legacy file left over from years (decades) ago when I experimented with mapping id's and context sensitive help which we do not use at this time to call up help topics. This post on the WebHelp forum speaks a little to the related files RH11: Purposes of BSSCDefault.h and whcshdata.js . I am looking for verification that my understanding of the #BSSC file is accurate and similar to that of BSSDefault.h -- that it pertains to mapping and context sensitive help. Also, I am assuming since it's no longer actively used, I could safely rename it or delete it? My IT department is moving files to the cloud and said the # sign in the file name would prevent it from being moved to the cloud.Also, I ran a test by creating a new project with WebHelp and Responsive HTML help, doing nothing related to Map ID's. A #BSSC file wasn't created by RH during the test, just the blank BSSC

HiI have recently installed Robohelp 2015. I am trying to publish my first Mobile App. I have given the necessary info in Mobile App settings. When I try to publish, it throws the MS Visual C++ Runtime Library error while uploading the zip file to Phone Gap Build Server.Anybody else faced this issue? Any solution? Please advise.Sreekanth

Hello,I'm attempting to generate a mobile app from RoboHelp 2015 and keep receiving a C++ runtime error.  The error specifically occurs when the app is being zipped and then uploaded to PhoneGap's servers, which is at the very end of the process.I have tried:Re-installing RoboHelp 2015Generating a new project (still results in the same error)Generating using a different computerDeleting my network profile and rebuildingReplacing the RoboHelp Regedit fileDeleting the Microsoft Runtime LibrariesProbably much more.I did generate the project as a Responsive HTML file and then zip it and upload to Phone Gap.  This was successful except that the navigation did not work as expected as an App.  The topics all pointed to the start topic instead of their own.Any help here is appreciated, as always.

I am using RH 2015 with the latest updates installed, and Word 2016.RH stops working every time I attempt to generate a .doc. It prepares the files, clears the output directory and creates a tmp directory. Then it stops and displays the message "Adobe RoboHelp 2015 has stopped working" and the only thing I can do is to close RH.Attempting to generate a PDF fails in the same way. Webhelp and responsive HTML5 are generated without problems.The project is on my C drive. It is set up as a child in a merged project.This is the first time I have tried to generate a doc so there might be a problem in the way RH and/or Word are set up.Does anybody have any ideas? Hello,I have a topic in Project A that I would like to import into Project B. When I work in project B and click on Import and look at the list of topics in project A, I do not see the topic I need. However, if I open project A, I can see the topic in Project Manager. The topic correctly opens and is displayed in the TOC. I'm not sure what's happening or how to fix this. I'm reluctant to experiment as I have gotten myself in trouble moving topics outside of the project before.Thanks,MDawn

I'm using Adobe 2015 to publish Responsive HTML5 to RoboHelp Server 10.When I publish the project, it seems to name the file the name of the project. So, if my project is named Cool_Blue, it published it under Cool_Blue. Is there anyway to change that name? I know that in WebHelp Pro you can define the name differently. I've looked everywhere and can't find how to do it so any assistance would be appreciated.Thanks,Nita

I'm using Robohelp 11 and we display our content as microsoft HTML help.  I am wondering how to edit the content of the home button on the top of the page next to the forward and back buttons.  Since it's HTML Help I cannot use a skin to change the buttons but I need to change what displays when the home button is clicked.  I can't find how to change where the button links to.  I would just like to link it to our home topic.Thanks!Matthew

I link a word-document to a project of Robohelp.When attempting to create a map-id (.h-file), you see in the right pane items such asxxxxxxxx#yyyy I assumed that xxxx#yyyy opens the topic xxxx and jumps into the topic to the item yyyy. (according to the html-code above).When I use the view-button, xxxx and xxxx#yyyy, the result is the same.
