Hi, Our application is shared with different customers and its features are restricted based on license. Currently, we are creating a WebHelp output which contains all the files related to the application. But with this approach, a customer who is given restricted access of the application, can see the content of all feature and we do not want this to happen. We want to restrict the display of a WebHelp content based on the license provided to the customer.Can you please tell me how to do this? I am using RoboHelp 15. Regards,Prashant

Hi all,I have a user guide for an app my company develops. The guide is created with RoboHelp 2015 with latest updates (12.0.2.384)The user guide is generally viewed online via web browser, and I export it as "Responsive HTML" for this purpose.Recently, the requirement has appeared to have the help available as an app on a mobile device running the actual app the help is for. (at this point no need for context sensitive help etc. - it's just a user guide available on the users' device).I got the "Mobile App" output type working after a bit of playing, and I can now generate a very nice Android app version of my user guide.It all seems to work very well, and is viewable equally well on phones, tablets etc.The only fly in my ointment is that any external links to websites which appear in my user guide simply do not work.ie. tapping a link does absolutely nothing (that I can see). No message, no popup, no jump to external browser, etc.If I view the same user guide via the normal web brows

Hi there!So I'm having trouble getting the TOC to appear in my RH11 project. I talked to Adobe Support and they suggested I delete the xpj and cpd files. I did, and then I opened up the project via the hhp file. Support asked me to create a new TOC and select the Copy existing TOC checkbox. When I try to browse to the hhk file, it does not appear within the Project folder. However, when I view the project files via an Explorer window, the hhk file is there. Can someone tell me why that is? I can't seem to get any movement on my issue with the TOC. Thank you!

When our webhelp is viewed over the network on Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge, performing a search or clicking the Search button causes the TOC to disappear from the left pane until the pane is closed and reopened. I have seen other threads on this issue for RH10, but I can't find a fix for RH11. Does your WebHelp work well in Microsoft Edge?I looks like there was a patch for this on RH10, and the second update for 2015 says it is fixed in there, but I'm having no luck finding a solution with RH11. Hallo, ich versuche derzeit unser Firmellogo als Favicon in Robohelp zu intergrieren. Die Vorschau in den Einstellungen zeigt meine Grafik, aber die diversen Browser leider nicht. Es hatte jemand kürzlich dasselbe Problem und konnte es lösen, indem er den Tag für das favicon manuell in die index.htm eingefügt hat. Leider klappt das bei mir aber auch nicht. Hat jemand eine Idee, wo der Fehler liegen könnte?LG

does anyone know if there is a way to optimize the number of files produced when generating an output in HTML5 (with RH11)??  The project that I have to compile is composed of 19 different merged projects and the number of total files (although the minimum size) becomes really huge...another question...someone know a way to insert the search filters in the generated project? i found an example here... http://www.wvanweelden.eu/blog/2014/02/16/adobe-robohelp-filtering-webhelp-search-results but this method seems to be based solely on the recognition of a tag associated in the title of the topic, whereas I'd need a method to insert an equivalent tags within the text topic.thx

I would like to know if there is any option to apply conditional tags dynamically to the output. This is the scenario. There is an application, which might have various options. These options will be integrated based on the customer requirement. For instance, Customer A might need some options which should be hidden form customer B and customer B need some options which should be hidden from customer A.  Now based on the customer requirement, is there an option by which the same HTML Help  can be configured for Customer A and Customer B since many of the options are common? Please note that t applying conditional tag has to be done on the output, and not before generating the HTML Help.

After upgrading a project from RoboHelp 10 to RoboHelp 2015, all topics in the project are deleted when the topics are subsequently updated. The project is a linked FrameMaker document - the project upgrades as expected, but when I update the topics, one of two things happens: Links are broken and all topics appear in the "Broken Links" folder or,All topics simply disappear.(Running Adobe Tech Comm Suite 2015  on Windows 7, 64-bit; RoboHelp updated to v12.0.2.384; FrameMaker updated to v 13.0.2.433.)I did have some success updating topics if I update each 'chapter' in the book singly, but if I use the "Update All" option, the results are as stated above. And, as you can see, the results are not consistent. This has happened with both projects that I have converted to RoboHelp 2015.I can't find any information about this in any forums. Screenshot included below to show the effect of "Updating all" in a project.  I appreciate any assistance with this annoying quirk!  Carol

Seeking hosting service for RoboHelp SERVER (9) and our RoboHelp (11) files.Sadly, I'm working for a second large institution where the IT department and its web app admins refuse to install "RoboHelp Server" because of their concerns about Tomcat perhaps opening some vulnerability on their IIS servers (or destabilizing them); and, they didn't want to run a Linux/Apache server in their all-Windows web operation. Sigh.Know of any place that does hosting of files of this sort? Adobe told me they did not.If you do, got some PRICE QUOTE$ ???Please post a reply here.Thanks,Tom

  Hi, I am using TCS 5 with unstructured FrameMaker and RH in a Win7  64-bit environment and recently upgraded to TSC5 2015; currently using FM 13.02.433 and RH 12.02.284. I have source FM books linked to RH and generating MS HTML hlp, Webhelp and pdf. For the first time I upgraded a chm project and source files from FM 2012 and RH 11  to 2015 version and compiled and suddenly there are many issues with the chm file even though the only thing that is different is minor content changes in the FrameMaker source files. Very disappointing! The newer tools are supposed to create less issues not more. I recently bought RH2015 and upgraded my project from RH11 with it. The upgrade process works fine and finishes successfully (as indicated by final message box). However, then when I try to close the project or exit RH2015 it won't do it. The only way to "exit" is to kill the RH process. If I do that and reopen the project again then RH2015 complains that the CPD file is corrupt. I tried deleting the CPD file and reopening the project. It'll open and rebuild the CPD file but still won't close cleanly. So the cycle starts all over again.Even worse, none of the outputs generates. When I click on Generate.. for any of the SSL nothing happens.Editing topics and saving them seems to work.At this point RH2015 is useless to me. Please help!Regards,Wolfgang

Hello everyone,I just upgraded from RoboHelp 2010 to 2015 and noticed that 2015 has deleted some table IDs in the code.  I do have the last update that brings the version to 12.0.3.428.  I tried to use the "Find and Replace" tool to look in the code so it could find <table > and replace with <table id="gray_table">.  I keep getting "No files found with matching text." despite the fact I have the "Find in Source Code" checked off.  I have deleted the cpd file and re-started RoboHelp but made no difference.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Hello,In my new job, the company has created a screen details page for every screen in the software application. To connect to help for a specific screen you enter the URL for each topic in the appropriate screen within the system. I found a excellent answer to this issue on the Forum which was very helpful.Background: The whole WebHelp project file will be located in a central location where all customers access the help, rather than the help file living locally at each location. There are two levels of help buttons in the software: one I'll be using the access the entire help project from the main page; the other icon which is on the screen itself I will use to display the screen's specific help topic.My question: I have created many topics before I understood how they manage the context sensitivity. If there are links to other topics when a screen-specific topic is displayed, will the links to the other topics work? Will the Back button return to the specific screen topic?Any recomm

We build our own software and are researching moving to an online solution. In the past with *.chm files we maintained a copy for each major version because it was relevant to the build of the software. However, if we move it online it will no longer need to be part of the software build process so does it need to be maintained with major versions or use one help text solution with a placeholder for when it was last updated and what version the topic is relevant to?

HII am using trail version of robohelp2015, I have few issues when i open webhelp popups from the links in webpage in IE. It works fine in Chrome.I click on help in on page, which opens a webhelp popup window. i don't close the popup and go to next page in my test website on now again click on help. Does your WebHelp work well in Microsoft Edge?On our RH10 WebHelp, TOC pane disappears after using Search function.After this issue happens, we need to resize the window of Edge or reload the page to display TOC again.This happens in MS Edge only.IE11, Firefox and Chrome are OK.I sent bug reports to Adobe, but there's no answer at the moment.Do you have any idea?Thanks.

Last week I started a trial of Robohelp 2015. I am using it on Windows 7 with Word 2013. Last week I generated printed documentation for a project that I created many years ago with Robohelp 9 and Word 2010. It worked fine without any problems. Today, after making some changes to the documentation I tried generating the printed documentation again and nothing happened. The SSL came up as usual and I clicked "Save And Generate" and then the warning about overwriting the docx file came up and I clicked OK and nothing happened. The Output View window stayed completely blank and no docx file was written. Can you help me please?

I am trying to make the switch from outdated javahelp to webhelp, but am unsure as to how this will work with being delivered with software which will never touch a server. I am using RH10 and see that I can choose from FTP, HTTP, File System, and SharePoint.

I copied the folder of another project. Added and removed what I needed for the new project, renamed it. I even deleted the old TOC, but the original TOC keeps coming up instead of the new TOC. How can I prevent this?

In looking at all the comments here, it doesn't seem that Robohelp HTML 10 will let me format the entries in the Glossary. Is this still the case?One of the suggestions was to make the Glossary into a topic. But that will not show in the Glossary tab in the generated Webhelp output will it?many thanksMonica

My apologies if this has been answered before, plus I've not used Robohelp for many years. I have a demo version RH10 due to client using this version. When I import a Word file RH freezes. I need to go to Task Manager to shut it down. When I open RH again, the topics are there. The Word files are saved as 97-2003, again due to client's version.Many thanksMonica
