I'm a little stuck at the moment.I started by importing a word document into Robohelp and did some additional formatting from there such as separating parts of the document into different pages and then re-linking the broken links etc.Splitting up topics into different pages reduced load times on the Tablet I'm using to test it; however, Moible App output is still the only one that I can't use links properly on.When I do tests in Webhelp or HTML5 and I click a link in the Table of Contents it goes straight to the page that content is on but also to the part of the content I clicked. On Mobile App however, I click a link and it'll go to the page that content is on but always just goes to the top of the page that content is on, even if the link I clicked should be going to the bottom of the page because thats where that specific content is.Any thoughts?

Hi! I couldn't find a valid download link of RoboHelp 2015 from within the Adobe website. Can anyone help?My company has purchased a formal software license certificate for me. So, I have a valid WIN Serial Number already.David
Willam replied:There are two ways to do this:Import a transparent png of 1x1 px and set that as the logo image.Remove the table cell with class "logo" from the layout pages. Then update the CSS for the table.headertable and the table cells.I changed the logo, but I don't know what he meant by "remove the table cell with class 'logo' from the layout pages." Which files?I think "update the CSS for the table.headertable and the table cells" means removing the table.headertable td.logo section from main.css.Sorry for the noob questions, but I am not a techie.
We have a large manual that's been built in RoboHelp and two licenses for our team. The licenses have occasionally changed from one computer or user to another, and we've had some interesting errors pop up. The latest error is that when we compile our Responsive HTML5 manual, the topics are all successfully updated and everything seems to compile except for the search results. The error appears as follows:Applying screen layout page (Topic) to topics... Applying to Introduction/Introduction.htm...Error: Search result widget is not allowed in Topic screen layout page.Error: No Search result layout page present in screen layout, search textbox will not work as expected in [Directory path]/Introduction.htm file.Error: No Search result layout page present in screen layout, search textbox will not work as expected in [Directory path]/Introduction.htm file. This error has appeared on one computer running RH but not another in past, and with a recent change in license ownership it's now
Can I create actual, real output in the trial version? I need to show to my manager, but if output is jacked up because I'm not an actual licensed user yet, I need to know. Thanks.
How can I change the format of the image map "rectangle"? I want my users to see something so they know where to click. I'm thinking of a light color, or even a border around the rectangle.
My support topics continue to render Times New Roman, even though the CSS for the project and topic files have been set to Sofia Pro ExtralightIn looking at the inspector element, it looks like this is happening due to an iFrame that is being built out and I don't see a way to specify the font family for an iframe in RH - anyone have any experience with this on how and where to make this edit?FYI - I am getting the following in the iframe reference when I look at the inspector element in my browser:<iframe class="topic" name="rh_default_topic_frame_name"></iframe>In the custom CSS, here's the declaration:/*Created with Adobe RoboHelp 2015.*/@11220649-face { font-family: "Sofia Pro ExtraLight"; src: url(SofiaProExtraLight.otf) format(opentype);};body { background: #FCFCFC; color: #434648; font-family: "Sofia Pro ExtraLight", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: normal; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: auto; margin-top: 0;&nbs
I have a set of help files that contain multiple links both within a topic and between topics. The links work locally, but when uploaded, the links are broken. Is there a way for me to identify those links that will fail before I upload the project?
Robohelp HTML v11 generating a Microsoft HTML help (.chm file)Marketing would like to see our branding on the icon that displays for a .chm file (not the usual page with a yellow question mark). Is there a setting to change the image that's associated with the .chm file? (I don't mean the image for the help in our software.) They want to distribute the .chm files separately, but want our branding on it.
I am using Framemaker 11 and testing with robohelp 2015 trial version. I successfully generated the responsive html5 output. I then updated a few things in the source framemaker files. In the Project tab I selected the Update option and it seemed to be updating but when I generated the output the updates were not displayed, it showed me what my last output was prior to the updates. How do I sync up the updated FM files with the my robo project?-Bill
I am using RoboHelp HTML 10 to update a reference project with about 1,500 topics in it. Today, I created a new topic with several internal bookmark links. I have edited this topic file several times and saved it without any problems but late today, when I wanted to save the file and close the project, RH gave me an error message about the file name being too long and the TOC reference was too long. This error message repeated over and over so I used Task Manager to kill RH and I rebooted my PC. When I got RH running again, I discovered 40 copies of the topic file listed in the Project Manager window. Each file name is a unique creation made up of the original topic file name and one or more of the internal links. Here is a sample of the names:Ultimate_Data_Display.htm (topic file with several bookmarks)Ultimate_Data_Display.htm#View_Data (no .htm suffix - when I open one of these files using NotePad, the file contains an exact copy of the original html code)Ultimate_Data_D
I have Tech Com Suite 2015. I need to make a .chm file from my FrameMaker book. I tried making directly from Frame, but was not happy with the results, so I am trying to make a RoboHelp project instead. Can someone help me out with best practices for doing this. I would like my files to be linked to RoboHelp, so that I do not have to start over if they are updated. I have tried working with this. Can you fix things after importing? For instance, if I did not fix the cross references (and remove page numbers for instance) in FrameMaker, before the import/lining, do I have to start over? I have worked with FrameMaker for quite a long time, but am less familiar with RoboHelp. Is there a video or Webinar showing how to do this? Or can someone give a few tips and things I ought to know for this procedure. Thanks
I want to create a landing page in RoboHelp 2015 where the TOC is closed by default. I want the landing page (project) to serve as a master project and on the landing page have links to several other departments (projects). Once a user selects his/her department, the corresponding knowledge base project should open within the same window and with the TOC open.
Hello.I am using RoboHelp 2015. After outputting my chm file, when I open the file it is always positioned at the upper left of the screen and is a little too small. Where in RoboHelp 2015 can I go to change the the attributes of size and position for how the chm file is shown when run?Robert
Hello.I used to use RoboHelp 11 and in that version to get a CHM file with skins all I had to do with a WebHelp project was select File->Generate->WebHelp to CHM Converter and the CHM file would be output. But that menu option is gone in the 2015 version. How do I do it now so get the skins from the WebHelp project? Thanks in advance.Robert G. Marquezhttp://robertmarquez.com

Hi all, I have been working offline and am ready to sync everything to the server. I "Checked All In" but the new items did not get checked in, and if I right click on an item, the menu contains neither check in nor check out. Please can someone help? Louise
HI,There is something unclear to me in the helpI am creating a regular chm file. The help in FrameMaker says:"HHActiveX.DLL is an Adobe ActiveX control that provides support for online glossaries and browse sequences. Install and register the HHActiveX.DLL file on user systems. Copy this file from the appropriate location into the same folder as the CHM."Do I have to give the developers this dll file in order for the chm to be displayed correctly? It was not clear to me?thansk
Hi there,I use Robohelp 10, and create a webhelp for our software product. All our clients are from the same domain. We now have increasingly started to encounter a situation where Client A uses different field names, sees a different set of fields or even uses a different version of our product than Client B. The webhelp is deployed as per the version of the software a client uses. Is there a way I could use the conditional build tag to create a webhelp output that picks topics based on client names. (This might not be ideal as there might not be space on the server to host many versions of the webhelp!)Or even if a topic is included in the webhelp, is there a way that it gets displayed only if the code indicates it is client A or B?I would really appreciate any suggestions on the best strategy to be adopted here.Thank you,S Augustine
Hello fellow RoboHelp users,In my RoboHelp 8 project, the projects periodically rearrange themselves in the Project Manager. Has anyone run into this problem and found a solution?
Hi,I have an toolbar image containing about 5 icons. An image map, encompassing the entire image, links to a specific section. I'd like to keep that image map, but I'd like to allow users to hover their mouse over a particular icon within that image to see it's name. Other than restructuring sections, building new topics and creating new image maps (one for each icon), is there a way to display the name of each icon within the toolbar image ? There's got to be something I'm missing here...it shouldn't be that difficult! always grateful......thank you!RH webhelp 11.0.4.291
I was really looking forward to using RH6 to produce printed documentation because I attended an Adobe seminar where the presenter mentioned that there were lots of improvements. Well, I am very disappointed. I have yet to create a print doc in RH 6 without first going through quite a number of 'Code execution has been interrupted' message boxes. With RHX5, there were quite a few formatting issues, which I hoped would be corrected, but I never got error messages like this. I don't know what the problem is, but I would sure appreciate some guidance. Thanks, Mary
In RoboHelp 11, for some reason when I a run a text search in the final project, I get a "No results found" page every time. The Topic.slp looks normal, as the search widget is still there and has not been changed at all. I'm also not doing anything out of the ordinary to the responsive layout properties. What could be causing this issue?
I can't be the first to consider this....anyone know of anything out there, or anyone that is currently working on such a site for RH 2015?
