I'll be generating WebHelp through RoboHelp 11.  Can I successfully import an API document written in Markdown?

WebHelp generated from RH11 has empty navigation panes when viewed in IE8, 10, 11, and Chrome. Any solution other than going back to RH9? (This thread - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1830443 - didn't help.) Thanks.

Every Filedialog has a combobox showing the recently selected filenames. But when I select a filename just via this combobox, the "Open" button does not get active.Win7x64 / RH11 / SP4

Hi, I am using  Robohelp HTML 8 and publish project to Robohelp server 8, I using the webhelp pro to publish, then I view the project from the IE browser , everything works fine, except that, when I click on the search tab, the text box is not coming out and I am not able to type and search. I am not sure where I did wrong, anyone has any ideas? thanks

I am using Robohelp to convert MS Word documents to SharePoint ASpx pages. It works well in relation to the conversion of documents and graphics, but my issue is that I do not want to use the Robohelp help frame (toc/index/search etc), I just want the basic apsx pages and their associated images that were embedded/ now linked.How can I turn off the frame feature?ThanksSimone

Hi - two questions for issues I'm working on after recovering a Robohelp project. Background, lost my hard drive and backup. Using my published webhelp and an older backup, I've merged them and cleaned up graphic issues. I'm down to a couple of things I still need to clean up. Note, after this happened I upgraded from RoboHelp 7 to Robohelp 11.A number of pages have the old topic templates, which have been replaced by master pages. How can I update all these topics at once? I know I can find individual topics, or select multiple topics and apply the correct master page, but it would be great to apply it to all at onceI found a number of URLs which are incorrect. I thought there used to be a way to replace the URL once, and have it update all related URLs at once? As you can see, there are a lot of them...

I just updated to RH 11.0.4.291 (Windows 8.1) and discovered a couple of issues with Responsive HTML5 output I hadn’t noticed previously: opened locally in IE 11.0.9600.17728, then clicking a topic link to display a PDF file in the viewing pane, there is no escape from the PDF file occupying the viewing pane. Clicking any TOC entry, any Index entry, running Search…nothing will replace the open PDF in the viewing pane. There is no “X” and there is no apparent way to escape. The Home button doesn’t move it, even the IE11 back arrow has no impact. This occurs with all PDF files (I tested this head-slapper with well over 30 different PDF files). The same project output as a WebHelp project? Everything works just fine as expected.Am I missing something here?Opening the Responsive HTML5 output in Firefox 37.0.2, all the generally accepted escape routes work.Thanks for any suggestions and confirmations.

I have been using RH7 and Map IDs.  I have upgraded to RH11, but I cannot figure out how to get my Map IDs to work.  In RH7 it was a simple URL call, .../roboapi.asp?Context=Map ID  What would the call be in RH11?

Is it possible to change the order of items that are found in the nav bar? I would like to create a custom button that is to the left of Contents.Thanks for any help!Steve H

The current solution is to use the following in the CSS.div.options {  position:relative;        width:100%;        left: 860px;        padding:2%;        background:transparent !important;However, this solution locks the icons to the right and they do not move when the window is sized:Is there a responsive method I can use to accomplish my goal?I am using RoboHelp 10.Thanks - Dan

RH 11 We don't want Help for devices, but are interested in creating Webhelp with a Multiscreen template style. Is there a way to do so?  For example, has anyone tried tweaking the "desktop" output to be Webhelp?Thank you

I have a publication done in Help & Manual (mh3) comprising parent and child projects. My goal is to convert the publication to Robohelp 11. I exported the master file of this publication to HTML Help, the result being a chm file. When decompiled this chm file with Key Tools, I got a multitude of folders. One of the folders contains a master hhp file, which I opened in Robohelp 11, thus creating an xpj file. (This xpj file generates Responsive output with all the cross-links intact (as per the original Help & Manual master file)). My challenge is that the xpj file is reliant upon all of the folders that were created as a result of the de-compilation process via Key Tools. Deleting any of these folders results in content being removed from the publication. I need to prune out the unnecessary folders, as - from a practical standpoint - it is impossible to work with so many folders. How can I reduce this folder structure to just one self-contained folder?Any help would be greatly

The ordered list on my RoboHelp 10 page doesn't appear in IE9. Most of our users are IE9. When I look at the HTML I can see it, so the content is there. I tried cleaning up the HTML and generating several times, to no avail. This is the first time I've encountered this problem, and I can't find anything in the forums.

We're having issues with some images not displaying after generating our project - any ideas?

Hey together,I'm using RH11, project language is german. Typing quotes in German it should look like this: „example“ (#0132 and #0147). But it does look like this in RH: "example" (#34). Is there any option or possibility to make RH set automatically the right quotation marks while typing?ThanksJulian

Hi, I am facing an issue with the Search tab of my Web help output. The search is performed only on a part of the text entered. For example, I search for a word "Planning", the results are generated for "plan". I search for the word "Table", the results are generated for "Tabl"I search for "corresponding", the results for "correspon" are displayed. Is this an existing issue? Is there any fix for this. Please help.

Somehow I do not understand the logics behind style import from Word files.a) there is a .ISF setting which holds a .CSS which is not consideredb) when I manually change the original .ISF (.CSS) file it is not consideredc) when I try to change the styles after the import - the style editor behaves totally weird (indentation is sometimes accepted, sometimes not)The only way I can use RH after a Wordfile import is to delete the .CSS from the project and run a find/replace over all HTML files. Is this the way the user shall use RH?!My feeling is, that this area of code has just alpha state. And btw, chmprocessor does the html import with less errors (esp. bad image sizes)!

Hi,Sorry for saying but the more I work with RH11, the more I feel that it is a horrible editor. It seems that I have to go into the HTML code to make every little change, which isn't very logical.Why is it that a style I create formats differently depending on whether the preceding style is a paragraph or list?For example, when writing a procedure, I have a numbered list style for each step. But the step result is a paragraph style. If I uses the result style outside of the numbered list, the formatting changes.But to make matters even worse, for some reason when I go into the HTML, a long space opens to the left of the cursor. If I press a right or left arrow to move the cursor, the space closes and opens to the left of the new cursor position. I tried opening the HTM file in Notepad and don't see anything out of place. I even tried rebooting my pc - to no avail.Anybody have any ideas?Thanks.One more thing: I've been a member here since 2011 so why do my posts need moderator approval

I have tried creating Printed Documentation with Word 2013 64-bit version installed and have gotten error messages. Is there a work around? Is this possible.

When trying to insert an Adobe Captivate demo into a topic, I get an error message that simply says "Out of Memory". I thought this might have something to do with our SharePoint source control, so I tried adding the same .SWF file to a project NOT in source control (stored on my local), and I got the same error. I am using RoboHelp 10. The .SWF file is 62,716 KB. HELP?

With Robohelp 11 we want to remove the sidebar with the TOC completely - or at the very least suppress it in the wide version so that it is not visible on first load. How do we do this? Struggling to get an elegant responsive help site out of robohelp...

Is there any access to the "TOC Book Properties" via scripting?Reason: When I import from word and a header has a trailing number, the TOC entry is missing this number. So I thought I can fix this via scripting, but I cannot find a way to access the entry at all?TOCManger just returns the entire TOC but not the entries?
