I am trying output of a Responsive HTML project (FM/RoboHelp HTML) My output is not displaying the TOC in the left margin at the same time the topic content displays on the right. This makes navigation from topic to topic awkward. Isn't the TOC supposed to be displaying at the same time? The sample skins for desktop show the Responsive HTML TOC and Topic content together. So why isn't it combined in my output? What is going on?I was hoping I could use the Responsibe HTML because our management doesn't want us to use ActiveX controls that are incorporated into the WebHelp. Management also doesn't want us to use FlashHelp. Both are seem as "security threats." I tried using Microsoft HTML help, but I just heard from this forum that the output chm files can't be saved on a web server which is how we distribute the content.I am running out of options, so I am trying Responsive HTML. But the TOC and display of topic content makes the navigation very awkward and annoying.Any
How can I add an option for 'Print All', meaning print whole book instead of just one page? It can be a .pdf.
Hi! I am using RoboHelp 10 and generating WebHelp. I am using traditional/no skin, and I am including toolbar buttons for a TOC and Search. My understanding is that the help should display the Contents in the left pane when you open it (I don't have the option to reorder the buttons with no skin), but it is opening to the Search in the left pane instead. I have had my client clear his browser cache, but the file still opens to the Search (see pic below). Any ideas?I apologize...I know that this question has been posted before, but I could not find it. Hoping that someone who wants some points (or just wants to help out!) will respond. Thanks so much!
I'm working in RoboHTML v11 and producing WebHelp. My translation company says they want it "in v10" because they have mapped things based on v10 and v11 does not work for them. They are using both my source files and my output files. Is there anything I can do (short of repurchasing v10, which I don't think is even available) to somehow make this compatible for them? Any other issues you see?
Hi, I am using Robo help in my website, It works properly when I use for Page level. But in case of Context level, I could not see window popup if I block popup in browser setting. (Firefox/Chrome/IE). Can anyone please help me?
I had a RoboHelp HTML project that was looking great. However, I must have accidentally deleted a graphic and a Heading 1 in the section topic. Although the Heading 1 name is still in the TOC, the link to the heading is broken. Also I still have the graphic that was accidentally deleted, but I am unable to add it to the topic. Please help
Hi all. I'm using RoboHelp 11. When I restart a numbered list from 1, the numbering is correct but the alignment of the new numbers is indented. Can someone help please?
FM12 and RH11. I am selecting publish>Microsoft HTML Help in FM12. I get the updated .chm file, but not the .h file. I have added all the CSH markers. Why no .h (header) file?
I have hyperlink popups that display the verbiage "Component Activator" when they are opened. Does anyone know how to resolve so that the verbiage does not display?
On to yet another topic:I am using the Responsive HTML layout, and we are not really wanting to use the index or the glossary at this point. Is there a way to turn those options off, so they don’t even show the options as icons that can be selected. Meaning right now, the icons show on the left, but if you pick on them the results are just blank. I would like to make it so those options are not even there; at least until we have something more to show in those areas. Is there a way to just turn those options off?
Can you take a long topic and divide it into smaller topics?
I have a RoboHelp project that is complied in WebHelp. The current TOC has a very small font and each line of the TOC is crammed next to the line above and below--all else looks good. How can I edit the TOC font (make larger) and increase the line spacing between each TOC entry. I tried editing the CSS styles and this didn't work. Adobe support staff told me the TOC text was not initially intended to be edited. I used to use Quadralay WebWorks Publisher Professional (during the early 2000's) and I used to edit the complied output. Is my issue something that I can resolve by editing the complied output? maybe using Dreamweaver or Notepad? Please help.
How can I edit the TOC font and line height? I have a project in WebHelp.
It appears they forgot to update the Output Generator with Glossary Restyling to include the Responsive HTML5 layout or couldn't make it compatible. I have been searching high and low, but I can't find any information on the subject. Has anyone manually updated the script? My JS is terrible, and I would really like to use this feature when our new help system goes live.
I was on a few days ago with issues concerning spreadsheets when moving from RH Word to RH HTML...First I should have said tables..they start off as spread sheets but are dropped in as tables in RH Word.....Well I figured out how I can convert my 100,000 link RH Work to RH HTML..and make functional and updateable. When you enter a new topic choose New Topic With..and choose Word. It allows the functionality I need (adding lines, sorting, etc) but I can use RH HTML. My question is, Is there a way to set WORD as the default editor for RH HTML? It would be nice if I could do that.It is going to be a tedious process to get it moved over (have to copy and paste a lot not to loose 100,000 plus links) but once it is set up the hard part is over. I just have to update the pages twice a month.
Robohelp adds code to display a show link in html files. It was not there in versions earlier to robohelp 7. We dont want this link to appear..annd manually removing this piece of code is risky as well as very tedious as there are more than 100 files in the project. . Is there anyway that I can remove or hide this code through robohelp itself..
When I preview my output, the images are note showing up. It is simply the blank outline of the image with the little image icon in the top left corner. As it is compiling I see the message "Warning: Image maps are not converted to relative size". Is there something in the setting that I need to change, or is that even the problem?
Is there a way to have multiple browse sequences in responsive HTML5 layout, like multiple TOCs?
What would cause 1 or 2 letters on the left side of the designer or viewer to be cut off? Also, text is now on top of the bullets in preview mode.
Hello we are experiencing some issue with a web publication even if the option mark web is checked from some firefox i have no menuand with ie it works but if we have clickable link nothing happen i have to do a right click and save as ...and this is ransdom cause on some pc it works any idea ?Thanks
I am investigating converting our ancient .chm help into Responsive HTML5 help. I am looking an William van Weelden's blog on the topic (Merging Multiscreen HTML5 help). I'm hoping it applies to Responsive HTML5 as well.My question relates to output folder structure. His structure looks like this:My application comes in two modes (say Mode A and Mode B). Therefore, I have conditional text in some topics for Mode A and Mode B. Should I create output folders under each Child project for each mode? If so, do I have to create them under each screen profile folder as well (so far I am not sure which profiles I will need other than desktop). I am using RoboHelp 11.0.4.291.
Hi Everybody, As a part of my work, I need to show glossary as pop-up in the robohelp project. Now, I tried with Glossary Hot-Spot wizard in RoboHelp 7.0, but it is expanding the glossary content and its not showing as a pop-up. Pls let me know, if anybody knows how to fix this issue. Help will be highly appreciated. Thanks & Regards, Ruziyo.
I have both versions 2003 & 2007 installed. Word2003 is my primary installation. But RH shall use Word2007. Just setting the default application and/or "Open With" does not help! How to solve this?Remark: "Repair 2007" is *NOT* what I want to do, as then Word2007 opens all .DOC files per default!
How can I expand more than one book at the same time? How can I expand all of them at the same time too?
