RoboHelp HTML 11, Captivate 7, Internet Explorer 11, Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0We have a number of videos, each published as a separate Captivate project in HTML5 format. We then imported them (specifically their "index.html" files) into RoboHelp. When I output the files as Responsive HTML, the videos appear correctly except there is no Play/Stop/Info bar below it.When we View the topics, or if we output them as WebHelp, the videos simply don't appear.  The Play/Stop/Info bar does appear below where the video should be. In fact, the progress bar shows that the video is running.  However, clicking the Info button shows that we're using Captivate 4, when we're actually using version 7.Can either of these issues be fixed? I'm having problems with my generation Webhelp Adobe Robohelp 11. I use a template with a CSS file, but the file I set the CSS "font-family: Segoe UI, Tahoma," and at the time of developing these settings are typically applied but after generating the webhelp the font that appears in browsers is not any of that set, but the Times New Roman.Googled and not found similar problem. The .chm file is generated normally.Thanks!

This is not the same issue as the current RH10 fix for webhelp resolves.We've noticed that, once a HTML help file (eg. helpfile.chm) is generated in RoboHelp 10, the pop-ups no longer display as auto-sized.   They do if the .chm file is opened by itself but no longer do when the file is accessed as context sensitive help within the program being used.Has anyone else experienced this?  The pop-up windows opened are wAAy too small now to be effective.RoboHelp9 compiled and called from program: RoboHelp10 compiled and called from program: At first I thought there might be some kind of character limitation that the auto-size is working with but it's more the pop-up box size that's the issue.  Any number of characters (and this is font dependant of course) that won't fit into the ~2 1/2"w x ~3/4" h box (or ~6cm w x ~2 cm h) causes the vertical and horizontal scrollbars on the pop-up box to become active, rather than the box simply auto-sizing to fit the text as it did wh

I am using RH 11 on Windows 8 with SharePoint Foundation. I had setup my version control previously on TFS/SharePoint site but the IT department got rid of that site, so I disconnected from that version control and then created a new version control link to a new SharePoint site for this project. When I set it up, it loaded the files into the library, then hung with a spinning circle and "not responding" in Task Manager for several hours before I finally just closed RoboHelp. I started RoboHelp again about an hour later to see if it would open the project. It appeared to open the project, but hangs, not allowing me to work on the project. I checked to see if the sample project would open and it behaved the same way--hanging and never allowing me to work with RoboHelp. I checked and the cpd file doesn't seem to be in the SharePoint library and Clear project cache (.cpd file) before opening any project was selected. RoboHelp HTML 11My project has a linked Word document and several Captivate videos. I want the topics to have links or popups to run the videos.If I insert the popups into the topics while in RoboHelp, they would be lost whenever I update the link to the Word document. I know I can set the topics to "ignore" updates, and maybe I'll do that as each one is finalized.Meanwhile, I wonder if there is a way to insert the popup links (or buttons) into the Word document itself, so they will persist?

Hello,I'm currently using RoboHelp HTML 11 (11.0.3.268) and have created a couple web help projects using the Responsive HTML5 layout (since the help files are for applications designed to run on iOS devices). I would like to provide an easy way for users to print both individual topics as well as collections of topics (a group of sub-topics under one TOC book for example). However, the only print options I can find are for printing individual topics via the right-click menu either within a given topic ('Print') or from the Search Results or Index screens ('Print Target').Does anyone know of a way to add a print control within RoboHelp that would make it easier for users to print single topics or a TOC book and all it's subtopics, much the same way they are able to in .CHM files?Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.Sincerely,Dave

I generated WebHelp output files on 11/19/14 (less than 2 weeks ago) in which the browse sequence works as expected.  When I generated output today, I noticed that the browse sequence buttons were not displaying.  I'm using RH 10 with IE 11.  I am the only person who accesses the RoboHelp project files for this project.I checked the WebHelp project settings and noticed the "Enable Browse Sequence" box was not checked.  I checked it.  I regenerated the project.  The browse buttons now appear but remain disabled.  I used the Browse Sequence Editor to regenerate the browse sequence from the TOC.  It did not work as expected.  Instead of following the TOC sequence, it put all the first-level books at the beginning of the browse sequence, then all the second-level books, and so on.  Just the same, I saved and regenerated the project.  The browse buttons still appeared, but still remained disabled.  I used the Browse Sequence Editor

Tool: Robohelp 11, webhelp, using DUCC (dynamic user-centric content) Question: DUCC generates its own output files for each Content Category you create. However, my use of DUCC is simple, only toc/indexes. Can output size be reduced?Reason: 1) good to know. My use of DUCC may be more complex next time.  2) A software build process has many steps and players. RoboHelp html 11I have a linked Word document in my project called "Draft 7".  I've been updating it over time and I'm past Draft 7, but I'm afraid if I import Draft 8 I won't be able to use the custom-made TOC I made for Draft 7. (The topics and headings are mostly the same in the two drafts)I need to either:a) Change the link so it refers to Draft 8 instead of Draft 7b) Remove Draft 7, link Draft 8, and have the TOC (and any other settings) apply to Draft 8 instead, or c) Start a new project with Draft 8 and copy the TOC (and any other settings) from the Draft 7 project.Which is best?Thanks.-- Shawn

RoboHelp HTML 11I have a Word document linked to the RH project. Some of the topics have yet to be completed, and I'd like to be able to know at a glance which ones those are. I'd like to see them either in the project output or in some kind of listing in RH itself.(My original plan was, in the Word document, to put square brackets around my "notes" in the text, then search for them in the finished project. But in RH you can't search for "[")

Background:So, I have a nice hosted help system on Server 9. I'm using the Access database since it's a light load project. It works OK. All admin features work OK (except groups and users bug, unrelated), including reports on search and usage. So, I have been having a devil of a time making a particular search term work in my project: UTS. It's an acronym for a system at my work, and it's important that users be able to search on it. UTS is in several Heading 1s. It's not in the stop list as a typo. Just to be sure, I deleted the whole stop list. I added "UTS" as a topic keyword. It still refuses to find any results. Also, I've noticed some other peculiarities with search: the "context" displayed below the search result is supposed to show the word you searched for in its context, but it never does in my search results. It just shows the first words of the document it's listed as a hit in search. The search is not bad, but these two bugs were odd enough to me to start rooting around f

Experts (Dave?!):As posted yesterday, I'm finally able to log in to the RHS Admin Console.I've been testing the Users areas. I'm having trouble adding users to a group other than the RobAdmin. Please let me know what/if I'm doing wrong. My procedure:1) Access the Users panel:2) Click the upper Add to add new group writers:3) Click OK. The writers group appears in the Group pulldown:4) Type in new user Kurt:5) Click Add. Note how the selected group snaps back to RobAdmin!6) Click Yes to confirm the user addition:7) Observe how Kurt is now added to the RoboAdmin group. I am using RoboHelp Server 9 with RoboHelp 11, using WebHelp Pro. My table of contents and index are working fine, but my search pane is not returning any results. It just keeps coming back with "Sorry, we were unable to find a good answer to your question". I've republished several times, and rebooted the RoboHelp server.How do I troubleshoot this issue? I'm not familiar with how the search indexing works.

I have a new laptop, and have installed TechCommunicationSuite_4_WWEFDJ, which includes RH10. I mapped RH to source control (Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider), and have successfully been able to check-in/check-out files.When I generate WebHelp, below is what displays in the Output View, and then I get an error prompt that RH is not working and to close it, find an online solution, etc.I must be missing a dll or something in my new laptop. Hi, thanks for taking my question. In IE11, in online help created using RH7 HTML, the TOC and Search don't appear, an issue that I know has appeared on the forum before. From a search on this forum, I see that a fix applies to RH10. (Sorry, I downloaded the files, but now can't find the post with the fix. Zip is IE11Fix_RH10.zip.)  Will that fix work backwards to RH 7? Or is RH 7 completely incompatible with IIE11? Apologies if this has been answered.

Is it possible to map RH 11 heading styles to a different printed document heading level style?  Our online help is the source of our printed documents. In order to create a 508 compliant printed document, there can only be one heading 1, and the heading 1 is the title of the printed document. Topic titles must be mapped to a heading 2, as well as subsequent headings must be bumped down a level. Is this possible?

When I insert an image which I made "detached" with Photoshop, can text follow contour? I have just upgraded from RH9. Now, using my existing project, I try to generate a printable output. I double-click on "Printed Documentation" in the Single Source Layout pod and nothing happens. Right-click and Generate also does nothing. Right-click and View allows me to make a new copy using the existing settings but I have no way to adjust the content, layout, etc. What's gone wrong?

Using RH10, building merged WebHelp, and we've just been asked to tag each topic for Google Analytics. When we were doing this for Webtrends and RH9, we were forced to inject the code as a post process with a perl script. Has RH10 made any advances in that regard?Thanks

Hello. I am working with Robohelp 9. I am working with a group in India that incorporates the Robohelp files that I have generated into their product's online help .They are telling me that they have to hand edit output files from the SSL! folder to add a location for the javascripts they are using (i.e. whver.js). The output for my topic files contain this reference: <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="whver.js"></script>. They want me to edit these this to add this to the path:  /...abcdirectory/ after src=". I have moved the files to abcdirectory, but the output files do not generate with this path. It is impractical to edit output files. Is there another way in Robohelp to indicate the location of the .js files so that the output files contain the correct path?Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

The following problem has hit my RoboHelp after upgrading v11 to the latest patch 3:When I generate a Responsive HTML5 layout, section URLs get weirdly formatted in a browser (tried both Firefox and Chrome). This does not seem to be project-specific, because the same problem happens when I generate even the standard out-of-the-box projects like Salesbuilder2 and EmployeeCare2.Here is what happens:For example, a link to:file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/Employee_Care/Introduction.htmopens the following browser URL:file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/index.htm#t=Employee_Care%2FIntroduction.htmor, say, a link to:file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/Employee_Care/HR_Policies/Attendance.htmopens as:file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/index.htm#t=Employee_Care%2FHR_Policies%2FAttendance.htmI hope the screenshot below illustrates what I mean:The links still work, but I really like my URLs human-readable. When I roll back to the previous version of RH, the problem disappears. Any ideas what might be causing it?Thanks!
