OS = Win 7Rh Ver = 11My goal: To generate two different CHMs that has its own branding (proprietary verbiage in Footer section) appear on bottom of help topics located on the Online Help window (CHM), WITHOUT using the old configuration (mentioned below).Current configuration (Old): A single Master page with a Footer that has Product B proprietary verbiage. Note, this master page is used for both instances (Product A & Product B). What makes the two products (Product A and Product B) unique during the generation process showing this header, it is using a Conditional Build Tag over the verbiage in the footer section hence, trigger by the “Conditional Build Expression”. Using RoboHelp 11.0.3.268, I'm testing the Responsive HTML5 layout as a potential upgrade from our current WebHelp SSL. The one thing I cannot find in configuring the SSL is the option to force the output to lowercase like what is offered in WebHelp and other SSLs. This is a critical project requirement because our team authors on Windows, which is case insensitive, and we publish help output to UNIX web servers, which is case sensitive. Thanks,Alan

Hi,We're using RoboHelp 8 to generate web help files. However, the output generated seems to be incompatible with Google Chrome version 39.0.2171.95 m. The output appearing as a blank page and the top frame is flickering in Chrome.Though it's working fine with IE 10 and Firefox.Another thing I have noticed that in the production description given in the RoboHelp 8 at Adobe website doesn't mention anything about Chrome. Adobe RoboHelp 8 * What’s new in RoboHelp 8So could you give us a confirmation on RoboHelp 8 compatibility with Chrome? And if it is compatible, which version? Does it require any patch or update?Note: Our company wants to stick to RH 8.

I haven't used RoboHelp for years, but I am evaluating TCS5 for my company. I'd like to ask, is there a way to link a demo into a topic (like "show me") that will only appear if the user wants to view. I can see how to import the demo but it starts as soon as the topic is opened.Thanks

HTMLRoboHelp HTML 11, with linked Word document.The pictures in my linked Word document need caption around them, and the standard text boxes and callouts didn't work well. I just hit on alternative: I can make a Word table (with no borders so it seems invisible), then have the picture float behind it, and finally enter the captions in selected cells of the table. When I add shading to those cells, the effect is of colored boxes of text floating in front of the picture.It works fine in Word, but when I pull it into RoboHelp, the floating picture doesn't always stay where it should with respect to the table or the rest of the page. In View it's in the wrong place, in Responsive HTML5 it currently appears okay, and in Multiscreen HTML5 it disappears completely. Can anyone help?  Thanks.

I'm attempting to create online help sourced from a FrameMaker 10 book using Robohelp 9 and Web Help (primary layout).The text is interspersed with numeorus small icons which, in the FrameMaker documents, are .bmp images inserted into anchored frames in the lines of text.Most of these icons were imported by reference into the FrameMaker book's chapters. Some were copied from another FrameMaker book and pasted into the present book.Many of these images are turning out blank in the finished Help project.Robohelp seems to convert these images into JPEGS.In the source FrameMaker book, the images which appear OK in the Help project have Object Properties including: Facets: FrameVector   JPEG ... Referenced File: No FileThe images which appear blank have different object properties there: Facets: DIB ... Referenced File: (address of the image's source file)How can I fix this and make all of the images appear in the Online Help?

We are moving from Robohelp 7 to Robohelp 9.  We realize that Boolean operators such as NOT are supposed to be working now, but we do have times when we might find ourselves using search terms that include the word "not" on its own.The problem that we are finding is that if we search for something like "office not installed", because that phrase is part of a specific error message we might be trying to locate, we are getting the error, "The words you typed is not a valid expression" [sic].We have tried making modifications to the Stop Words and Always Ignore words and can't seem to find a solution.  We do need to be able to search using the word "not" as a regular search term.  Even as a Boolean operator (NOT), we are getting the same error.  Searching for "office installed" will get us the result that we want, but we have a team of users who will definitely instinctually search using the word "not" since it's part of the error they are searching for.Thoughts?

I have been unable to find anything on this issue so please forgive me if I overlooked it someplace.I am working on a webhelp project in RH0 that uses a LOT of drop-down text.  One of the issues is that I can't find a way that it's possible to expand or collapse (i.e., +  or) - all instances of drop-down text in a topic once it's in the WebHelp output.Thanks!

RH11 | WebHelpI'm receiving the message "Cannot open illegal or empty URLs" when I open certain topics in one of my projects. I can click OK and the topics still open, but I'm unsure why this is happening.Has anyone seen this before?ThanksJonathan

Is it possible to continuously number all tables throughout a single document? Autonumbering feature only helps in case of a single topic. For each consecutive topic, the numbering seems to restart from 1. I'm looking for a solution that could help me use autonumbering for all tables across the entire document. Please help. Thank you. 

I work on the development and support of a software package.  We have to deal with the mistakes that will surely crop up in the documentation.  Our user's guides are written in Microsoft Word, but as the number of equations and length of the documents increase, they are getting increasingly difficult to manage.  In particular, it's difficult to have multiple people edit the documentation and tedious to post updated versions. We are considering purchasing RoboHelp, however, most of our employees use Linux/Unix machines, but one or two use Window's machines.  I see that the requirement for RoboHelp is a windows machine.  I'm wondering if we could install it on one of our employees' Windows machines, but then have others edit it through a web interface on their Linux/Unix machines. Is this possible with RoboHelp? Thank you for any help you can give.  I searched the forums with various search strings before posting, but didn't not find the answer.

In the images folder within my project, I see these 'icons' but don't know what they mean.What does the green check mark indicate? What does the red X mean? I've search the documentation (.html pages) and found nothing that explains the meaningAny help is appreciated.Thanks, Mary

Hello - I am trying to stop specific words and symbols from appearing in the search area of a Section 508 Compliant output. This is what I tried: Edit > Search Metadata > Stop Words. Then I clicked New and typed the word or symbol in the stop list and clicked OK. When I publish the 508 compliant project, the words or symbols still appeared in the search? When I look at the stop list the words or symbols I added are still on the list. I also noticed that the default Stop List and "Always Ignore" Words (for example: a, and, the...) are also appearing in the search of the published project?I checked a different project with the 508 compliant output and see the same result. Are there different, or additional steps to get Stop Words to work in RH11?

I am new to RoboHelp 11 and we've a release looming over us. The web help output files are not loading on other computers but are working fine at my end or my colleague's system (we both have RoboHelp installed in our systems)  We used Robohelp 8 for the previous release and upgraded to the latest version particularly for this release.  After integrating web files into the application, the developers found that the files are not compatible. Now we've too short a time to downgrade to Robohelp 8  Can anyone give us a suggestion on why output files are working on certain systems but not on others. Is it because I have the source files on my machines and others don't?

I am running RoboHelp 11 and MS Word 2013 on Parallels running Windows 7.When I try to generate a Printed Document, I get a message saying that RoboHelp can't wind Word.I tried installing Word then reinstalling RoboHelp but that did not solve the problem.

First off a new year wish from a long time Robohelp user --  "Adobe quit breaking things and if things get broke - fix them quickly so your customers are provided with a stable product!".I used Theme black ... no customization except font and logo change. So now when i publish my project to a server... it does not show text below the content holder. I tried the solution on one of these posts to add the following  to layout.css (which I think is replaced with layoutfix.min.css).div.contentholder {  overflow-y: auto !important;  -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch;}iframe.wTopic {  width: 99% !important;  height: 99% !important;}Issue 1 - (no scroll /cut off pages)Above  solution worked fine for the content (topic) pages on devices and desktop but still does not work for the rest of the template (search pages, index, glossary, and TOC) on devices. I have been struggling with the Table Style of my CSS for quite awhile now. I am hoping the RoboHelp Community can help me resolve my final issue. I've created a table with all 1px lines, but my top row keeps doubling up the rows. It doesn't seem like any changes to vertical lines for the top row impact it positively. Please let m know if you've had additional problems. Once open a time, I generated WebHelp, uploaded it to our company site, dubbed it a noble Knowledgebase, and there it sat, accessible to all. It was the Best Beloved of people desirous of viewing Help via Google Translate.And so, the years passed, and the poor WebHelp Knowledgebase was forgotten and fell into disuse. Hello,I am using RoboHelp HTML version 11.0.3 and have just finished my second help project, which I need to publish in Responsive HTML5 format. I had already published one project for some new software designed to run on iOS devices using the Responsive HTML5 format for that as well. Despite some issues with the Theme1 screen layout being corrupted, which I was able to resolve by importing another screen layout, I was able to get that project released. When I compiled this latest project, however, I get several errors stating that "The Search Results widget is not allowed in the Topic Screen layout page. No Search Result layout page is present in the screen layout - the search textbox will not work as expected."Long story short, when the project is compiled and I view the result, there is no search control to open a search page see first image below). I am trying to work on a topic, but RH 10 is "flickering"... the lower right hand corner status (at the very bottom of the PM pane)  is flickering between "Pagination" and "Displaying".  The font and font size is flickering, and the Paragraph and Character Styles pod list is flickering from "Normal" thru the list and then back to "Normal" in a split second.  I cannot work in the topic...This seems to be happening no matter what topics I'm in... as well as if I create a new topic.I did some PM organization of images and topics... and it was fine until then.  I have made all the updates I can find, restarted my system, uninstalled and reinstalled RH and reapplied the updates.What the heck is going on?  HELP!

What I want to do in Robohelp seems like it should be possible but I cannot seem to figure out how to do it.  I have a single project file that contains multiple folders, one for each application in a suite of related applications.  Currently in webhelp there is one file called index.htm that contains the index for all folders in the project.  I need this, but I also need an additional .htm file in webhelp that contains the index for a single folder of my project.  Why do I need this?  I want my users who are using one of my applications to be able to view an index file just for that application, not for all applications of the software suite.  How can I do this in robohelp?  If this cannot be done then this is a serious limitation of Robohelp.  And please don't tell me I need to make one project file per application in order to accomplish this.
