Hi all,I'm trying to reach context sensitive help by constructing a URL like this: "http://helpsite.com/robohelp/server?area=abc_12&prj=asd_21&ctxid=555"This URL is then opened in a simplified browser but all we get is a page saying: "The help page you are looking for can be found at here." By clicking on "here" you will eventuall be forwarded to the correct home page. I've searched through the server installation for this text and it can be found in a few places:onRequestNewWnd.htmwin_def_redirect.aspwin_ie_iframe.aspwin_ns_iframe.aspNot quite sure what any of that means so I'm hoping someone here can help me.Kind Regards,Erik
Hi,I have installed the RoboHelp 11 version on 18th of September 2014 and it is going to expire on 17th of October 2014. I would like to explore the software more before we decide to buy the software. So, it would be great if you could suggest me a way to extend the trial software for another 30 days.Regards,Pallavi
Windows 7 UltimateRobohelp V7.03When I generate Printed Documentation to a standard Word doc. Chapter 1 and it's associated topic are missing from the TOC:The TOC begins with Chapter 2:For grins and giggles I generated the documentation with ONLY Chapter 1 selected to see what would happen; it shows up in the TOC just fine:In either case, the topic is published in the body of the text just as it should be. The only issue is that Chapter 1 doesn't make it into the TOC when I generate the whole thing.I have no conditional Build Expressions. The Topic properties are set for it to be included in the TOC.There is only one TOC.Ham-handed efforts to simply add it manually to the TOC in Word failed miserably. Is there some sort of secret setting I am missing? How do I get the TOC to accept Chapter 1 along with the other chapters??? I would be most grateful for any assistance. Thanks in advance.Scott
The text that I include in dropdowns seems to automatically turn to bold - even thought BOLD is not set in the font formatting. Is there a place in the code where I can fix this?Thanks...kbUsing RH10.
RH11 | WebHelpDoes anyone know how to change the button sizes for the images used in the Function bar and Sidebar? The Layout Customisation screen states the images must be a certain size (e.g. 30x22 pixels) but I want to use my own sized buttons which are 84x42 pixels. I also want to remove the padding around the buttons. I've had a look in main.css, but I can't find anywhere that controls this. It must be "baked" into the responsive layout somewhere.ThanksJonathan
Should I be able to find glossary terms when I do a search? Currently when I do a search my glossary terms do not come up, just the topics created. If I create a hotspot for the glossary terms will they then come up in a Search?
Hi there,I'm working with RH HTML10 and want to import some MS Word 2013 files into my project. I really don't have the biggest succes doing it - I'm getting this:Is it an upgrade of RH that's needed, or ?!?!?!?!Please let me know if any of you have had the same issue, and what to do about it !!!Best regards,Helene WaldhornSKAKO Concrete, Denmark
I have seen several posts about bookmarks in dropdown text, but can't find anything specific to what's happening in RH10 - other than someone got it to work... but yet it isn't working for me. If there's a post that speaks directly to the issue, can you please point me to that discussion. I'm so sorry for posting if there is already an answer floating around out there. In the meantime: I know I have done this with a competitor's HAT, but wondering how to set it up to work or if it's possible. I have information in dd text that contains a bookmark that is referenced in other places (outside the dd and perhaps outside the actual topic). But it's not opening the drop down text... in fact, it's not even being recognized. I see the bookmark in the Project Manager pod, but if I view my build Webhelp project and click on the link that should take me to the dd information, nothing happens. Not only does it NOT open the dropdown text, it doesn't even ta
I recently installed the update to RoboHelp HTML 11, which was supposed to fix a lot of problems with Responsive HTML 5 output issues. However, a new issue has just cropped up out of nowhere and I have no idea why it's happening. When I generate Responsive HTML 5 output for my help system, the following items are missing from the screen in the browser:- The vertical separator bar that separates the TOC from the help content window- All the "hover" buttons (the dark versions of the TOC, Search, Glossary, Home, and Print buttons that appear when you hover over them or when that page is selected)Also, the Show/Hide button is visible (even though the separator bar is not), but it does not function at all.The output was generating just fine, with no such problems, until just a couple of days ago. This struck out of nowhere. Does anyone have a clue what is causing this or how to fix it?Thanks!Tim Huddleston
I have linked and imported a framemaker 11 file to robohelp 10.I generated the Multiscreen HTML 5 output from robohelp.I find that certain junk characters have got added to the outputs. I dont face this issue in the webhelp output. Any help on this would be great!
When I click the Next button in the Print Document General - Printed Documentation Wizard, RH10 stops working. It allows me to Save and Generate but does not allow to click Next.I get the same error in sample projects too..Attached is the screenshot showing the crash. Can somebody tell me what causes this crash?
Hi all,My stylesheet has decided it no longer wants to display within Robohelp. It used to display in Project Files > stylesheets and in Windows Explorer it still does, however in Robohelp, the folder "looks" empty.I've tried changing between the two Project Manager views and checked the Show/Hide Files dialog box which has stylesheets ticked. I've tried deleting the cpd file. The previous author had issues with it vanishing on occasion, but it always returned, I think after rebooting, usually. But I tried this too, in conjunction with deleting the cpd and still no luck getting it to show.I know I can open it with through Windows Explorer in Notepad, and I know I can go into Topic Properties and click the Edit button when I want to open the style editor, but it's much quicker to use the right-click menuDoes anyone have any ideas about coaxing my shy stylesheet back? Thanks,Amber
After moving a set of merged projects and master project in SVN, the merged index is not displaying on any machine but my build machine. From posts in ASA Designer, this is apparently a known bug. A workaround to manually fix the master hhp by removing the path to create a relative after opening the Generate dialog works. A fix is suggested to modify the cpd file in Access. Is this your recommendation, or is there another known fix for the problem? I'm hesitant to start messing with the cpd file.
I have a user manual in Word that uses outline autonumbering for Heading 1, Heading 2, etc. For example, "1.0 Introduction," "1.1 System Settings" and so on).I know when setting the conversion settings for FrameMaker, you can select the Ignore Autonumber option in the Conversion Settings dialog to keep only the paragraph content. I don't see anything like this for the Word Conversion Settings. Does this capability exist?
How can I remove the Powered by message in the output (HTML) in RoboHelp10?
When I try to use the autoscroll feature in RoboScreenCapture it stops before the end of the screen and only captures what is visible on the screen. What can I do about this? I am using RoboScreenCapture 2. Thank you.
RH11 | WebHelpI'm looking to switch our WebHelp to a responsive layout. Does anyone know if it's possible to add custom buttons to the Function bar? It doesn't look possible via RH, so can it be done by modifying the output files?ThanksJonathan
I'm using RH 11, and some of our programmers have decided that they want me to produce CHMs for their programs rather than WebHelp. When I generate MS HTML Help, I get the TOC and Index in the Help just fine, but none of the content displays. This is true of any MS HTML Help I generate, so I know it's some mistake or setting I'm missing.Any clues?Thank you!
Hi,TCS5, so FM 12 and RH11. I have successfully applied some conditional build tags by turning off the apply conditional build tag setting and using the Conditional Build Expression in the WebHelp properties instead. In RoboHelp, everything looks correct. I generate WebHelp and suddenly, a div tag is wrapped around the inline image in the paragraph that followed the text marked conditional. This did not happen with TCS 4 (FM11, RH10). I am not sure why this div tag is applied only when I generate the help. Any thoughts on what to check?Lauren
Hello. I'm using RoboHelp HTML 9.0.2.271. When opening a certain RH project (I have three that I access regularly), the project opens fine, but when I try to open any of the topic files, RH hangs/crashes. I can perform any other tasks in the project (generating, publishing, updating the browse sequence, etc.), but I can't open any .htm files. In trying to fix this problem, I have:Updated from 9.0 to first 9.0.1 then 9.0.2Renamed the .cpd file Imported one of the topics in the crashing project to a project that isn't crashing Updating and renaming the .cpd file didn't work and importing the topic into a healthy project allowed the topic to open (so the topic doesn't seem corrupt).
My Next and Back navigation arrows have inexplicably disappeared from the Responsive Layout in RoboHelp 11 HTML. I found many nav bar-related topics on these forums, but could not find one that was similar to this issue I am experiencing. I'm not sure what I may have done, as it seems like this could only be the result of manually or purposefully removing them.
We've been fighting with figuring out the firewall rules to permit installation of RoboHELP HTML 11. I have a valid serial number. The problem is that when I input the serial number and click the Submit button, the button changes to a "spinning circle" for a while, then displays a message that reads, "Please connect to the Internet and retry. If you choose to conenct later, you will have 30 days to validate your serial number otherwise your software will stop working. If this computer cannot access the Internet, get more details at http://www.adobe.com/go/getactivated using an Internet enabled device."At that URL, I am prompted to submit a request code and the serial number. My reaction: What is a request code and how do I get one so that I can obtain a response code and complete my installation, SEVEN WEEKS after I got the serial number.Apparently generating the response code requires that I install a Provisioning tool on my computer. Tried generating a response code by go
RoboHelp10, SharePoint 2013Hello,We would like to explore the possibility of publishing our legacy RH10 webhelp to SharePoint 2013, either as webhelp or as HTML5 / native SharePoint ASPX.Can anyone confirm whether RH10 is compatible with SharePoint 2013, or whether we need to upgrade to RH11 to accomplish this?
All-I've found that the tab groups (in my case "vertical" tab groups) that I set in a RH project/session aren't being remembered. When I close and reopen a project, I have to reset my tab groups. Is there a way to make tab groups re-appear according to how they were last configured?(I could be wrong, but it seems to me I've only had this problem recently. Perhaps I unchecked a "remember' setting?!)Thanks!_Kurt
