I have created a style in robohelp for autonumbers, but i am not able to stop the number sequence and start from "1". As the number is displayed in sequence.For example, i want this sequence in Auto numbers. 1 - 4 and start again from 1 - 4.Please advice.

Hi allI'm using Framemaker 12 and RH 11 as part of TCS5.I've been trying in vain to change the icons that appear as part of the TOC when I generate to Webhelp.I'm using a custom .skn file, in which I have a section that looks like this:<subpane name="Contents">  <image>page:page.gif?openedbook:bookopen.gif?closedbook:book.gif?</image>  <color>background:White alink:Silver hover-color:Navy</color>  <font>font-family:Verdana font-size:8pt font-weight:Normal font-style:Normal text-decoration:none font-sizeadjust:none font-stretch:normal font-variant:normal font-color:Black</font>  </subpane>I have the three image files, page.gif, bookopen.gif and book.gif in the same folder as the skn file, but it does not seem that these are getting picked up during generation.I have changed the colour of the closed book from blue (seemingly the default) to green, but this does not change in the compiled webhelp.Can anyone suggest anythi

The tags and the tagged text are displayed clearly inside FM but when I link those files to the RH project all tags are stripped. No "content level" hashed text is displayed inside RH files. I've sent some of the FM files to Adobe Tech Support and they say the files work just fine on their end and RH successfully imports all the conditional tags. But it still fails to work on my Windows 7 platform. Adobe even suggested to change the name of a RH file in Registry from "10.00" to "10.00_old" but it still didn't help. I'm working on a deadline and would appreciate any ideas to get over this hurdle. Thanks.

Hello All,I'd like to use pop-ups in my current project but I'd like for the pop-ups to appear as the topic only without the corresponding screen layout (side bar, contents, index, glossary, etc.).  I'm generating in Multiscreen_HTML5. When I preview my pages in a browser (CTRL+W) the pop-ups look just fine but when I Save/Generate, the screen layout is, as you would expect,  applied to the entire project (including the pop-ups). I am currently setting the pop-ups to auto size.If there were some way to exclude a topic from the screen layout then I could create separate topics for the pop-ups.thank you,-d

We generated Chinese CHM using Robohelp HTML 9 in Chinsese OS & Region, but the CHM glossary display rubbish when we open it in Chinese OS & Region (please see attached Glossary_in_Chinese_OS&Region.png). But it displays correctly under English OS, no matter English or Chinese Region (please see attached Glossary_Displayed_In_English_OS.png). And, in some computers, glossary didn't display (please see attached Glossary_doesn't_display.png), very strange.2. For JavaScript:hhctrl.TextPopup strings, it display rubbishes when we click it under English region, Chinese region is OK. We have changed to "Simsun, 9, gb2312" already, but still has this problem, please see attached.Would you provide some solutions please, thanks in advance!!!   

Hello! I have a question about customizing the TOC icons in RH11. I used the Responsive HTML5 Settings GUI to change all the TOC icons... EXCEPT the open book with link. This appears to be pulling a .png from the template resources folder, but there is no way to change it in the output settings within RH11 itself. Can I edit one of the Javascript files get it to pull a custom icon? Or am I stuck with the default icon? (In the image below, it's the third icon down.)Thanks!

I've skimmed through the forums and Peter G's site and not found quite the solution to this. I recently created a single TOC that I use by "reference" in other TOCs for custom output. The goal is to avoid having to manually update all the assorted locations.  This works beautifully for web output but I just noticed that it's not expanded for print output. I don't know whether I'm missing a step to tickle the print ssl to see it or if it's unsupported.The print output file definitely "changed" - the whole chunk I replaced with a reference TOC is missing now.  I have a simple workaround but really would like to know if there is a way to make this work. Screenshot attached of the source TOC and the two usage locations (one for webhelp and the other for print).😕😕

I have several PDFs in Baggage Files that are linked to topics in the Table of Contents.  When I generate the CHM file and 'View Results' I am able to pull up/access the PDFs with no problem.  When I go into the project folder and just double-click on the CHM file, I cannot pull up/access any of the PDFs nor can I access them in the product help.  Any ideas?  Is a setting "off" somewhere in my project?I am using RoboHelp 10.Thanks!

I am having an issue in trying to publish to SharePoint. What type of Site/Library should I have set up to publish too? I have a Document library set up on my SharePoint site but when I try to test the connection, I get "Cannot contact site at the specified URL..." message. Can someone provide some details about how my SharePoint site should be configured?

Is there anyway to automatically apply a new Master Page to a snippet? The Topic Properties window (in a snippet) doesn't allow me to choose a master page.

Hi I am using TCS 4.0, RH10.I am creating the ISF file, master page, skin, etc. for my team's use. While publishing to WebHelp, we always perform the following tasks in the WebHelp settings window for every project:In Content Categories > Content <default>, select Apply to all Topics and select the default master page (which is basically the only master page they have added).In Navigation, clear Search Input Field in Toolbar check box.In Search, select the Hide Rank Column in Search Results check box.Is there a way I can configure these settings in some file and share it with the team (along with ISF files, etc.) so that they don't have to do it every time? I agree that selecting and deslecting few check boxes is not such a major time consuming task. However, I am curious if I can avoid manual intervention here.Sreekanth

HiTCS 4.0 -- Using Word 2007 with RH10.I have a fair knowledge of importing FM to RH, but I am new to importing Word content into RH. I have used paragraph borders for some styles in Word. For these styles, I have created RH equivalents and mapped appropriately. However, when I import the content into RH, even the paragraph borders defined in Word appear as is. Hi there,I have recently upgraded from robohelp8 to robohelp11.Just wondering if it is possible in any way to change the default path where the project files get stored.At the moment it defaultly saves at 'C:\Users\username\Documents\My RoboHelp Projects'. Is there a way we can change this default path to a common location so that any user who logs into the machine can access the files.Cheers,Ankitha

Hi,I am using iFrames to supplement the original content of my HTML file with additional PDF material and have problems with the display of these iFrames within the CHM file. I am using RoboHelp HTML 10.Basically I created topics with text and a single iFrame per topic. These iFrames are intended to display handouts that we use for our training courses directly in the help system.Topic preview display as expected, i.e. with the PDF content actually embeded in the topic as desired. The problem I have is that these topics display differently once the CHM has been generated. On opening the topic, the PDF content displays in a separate Adobe Reader window, while the frame remains empty.Are there ways to get PDF things displayed as I wish in the iFrames ? Has anyone come across BlackBerry 10 screen profiles and layouts?

I'm running RH10 integrated with TFS for source control. I can check out projects and files just fine, but when I modify a file in RH and save, I get the following:This happens every time I save a file and I believe this same issue is causing problems with what's being checked back into TFS. Other users see versions of the file that are different from the one I check in. That is to say, the changes I make prior to check in may or  may not appear to users who check out the file after me.

Note: I am relatively new to RoboHelp: formerly a contract writer, a senior staff member used my content when creating Help.  She's left, and now I am using the tools she set up on RoboHelp to write and create both local and remote (online) versions of Help content. Have created online versions successfully for several products. Local has been more problematic. Using RoboHelp 10; for the past 2 days, tyring to generate local help using WebHelp to chm Converter which uses Webhelp for chm ssl provided by my predicessor.  Files generate successfully and I can open and view them. When added to the application, however, they do not open. We're trying to RTM, but gated behind getting a working local help.  Investigations:Opened older files (ones that predate me), generated local help, installed chm into current application.  Opened, but did not include the skin. (Is that normal? Can I have the skin in local help?)Checked current Webhelp for chm ssl against older ones -- o

Experts-I see that one way to share all topics with another RH user is to open the Topics List pod, select all topics, then drag the lot to Resource Manager (eg, the Dropbox folder therein). Is there a way to add images and other non-topic files in a similar way, or do I need to dive into each directory in project files, then select-drag the files to Dropbox?Is there a way to configure RH such that all new files that are added to a project are automatically copied to Resource Manager so one doesn't have to remember to do this manually?Is there a way to share resources other than files in the Project Files folder, such as TOC definitions, Index defs, Glossary defs, and the single-source layouts? I see that I can't drag these items to the Dropbox folder. The idea is to be able to have other writers  recreate the project on there systems. (Perhaps I'm missing the purpose of Resource Manager. Perhaps duplication of entire projects is best performed using a CMS.)Thanks!-Kurt

Is there a way of permanently hiding the left hand navigation pane so that it looks less like a help system?I am trying to find a way of producing a simple 3 topic project to act as a small support site for a new product. my employer doesn't have the resources to build a product website with integrated support area so I am looking into using RH and webhelp instead as I'm used to using it for creating help.

Hi There, The company I work for have a specific word document format that I must use when producing documentation, this consists of several heading styles that require fill colours behind white text. The problem I have is when I generate my printed output to Word, the coloured heading on page two for example leaks over to the end of the paragraph on page one. I have ‘start new topic on each page’ selected but I can’t find anything else to clear the problem. Is there something obvious that I am missing? Any help is much appreciated. Many thanks!

Has anybody else had this problem? It seems that RoboHelp (version 7) applied the Conditional Build Tag on its own to various topics. Is there anything I can do to prevent that in the future?
