I'd like the Word docs to be part of my RoboHelp project and list them in the TOC. In other words, I don't want to link to Word docs in another location.
After upgrading from a very old version of RoboHelp to RoboHelp 11 I found that the text formatting was lost in the compiled help on all topics that hadn't been edited in RoboHelp 11. How do I restore the formatting for all topics in the compiled help without editing all 339 topics?

After IE updates were installed on my computer, my CHM created with RH10 now displays stripped of all character formatting and screen captures. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Any solutions? TIA.

I'm using RoboHelp HTML 10.0.1.292. I have one project using conditional text that creates two outputs: Basic and Advanced. When I publish the Basic project, I get the error, "Publishing meets an unexpected error. The system cannot find the path specified," and it provides me with the path and file name that's missing. The problem is, the Basic project shouldn't be looking for that file at all. The topic is marked as Advanced at the topic level and there is no Basic conditional text at the content level. I've tried untagging the topic and re-tagging it and then re-publishing, but that hasn't worked. Why is it bringing in a file that it shouldn't?
Hi all, when I insert a link to a local file (using Insert > Hyperlink and then selecting "File" in the dropdown list), then Robohelp changes the absolute path to a relative path when saving the topic. Naturally this link does not work in a CHM.I can resolve the issue in the HTML view by changing the path back to an absolute reference such as:<a href="file://C:/Test/Hello_World.htm">Such a link works in the CHM. However, I cannot get it to work in the TOC. I have checked the HHC and can verify that the path still is absolute there, yet the page does not open when clicked.Any ideas?Robert

Hi, I am just learning to use RoboHelp (RH HTML 10), as I have to update the existing Help for a software made by my company. The problem is that some of the topics have wrong See also... links. For example, in the attached picture (https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=0LrVwK4FeH8RwZC3P*Qfkg) the topic in the box should not be linked to my topic.I created this topic by copying a similar one (Duplicate Topic command) and changing the title and some other words, and probably the See also... was not updated. Is there any way to edit the See also... topics in an already existing project? Thanks in advance.
I've noticed that when upgrading RH9 projects to RH10, that RH10 will corrupt (e.g., "Broken Link") all bookmarks set on a drop-down text link. For example, I have a head "Changing the Status in PowerFlow" which when clicked, drops-down a chunk of text. The head is also included as a bookmark, "Changing_the_Status_in_PowerFlow".These all worked perfectly in RH9 and I've tested the upgrade to RH10 multiple times with the exact same outcome. Bookmarks not associated with drop-down text are unaffected. Note the three MM-4000 broken links, which are associated with drop-downs; there is a fourth bookmark, not associated with a drop-down link, that is accessible: RH10 inserts a "#" into the bookmark link, producing a "The filename is invalid. The "#" character cannot be used in a path." error. The bookmarks no longer show up in Project Files, but do show on the topic page (with highlighting) and in the bookmark dialog, but the bookmark on the page does not get selected -- as normal -- in the
Issue: Incorrect location of pop-up windows.Cause: The possible reason of this issue could be a pop-up window or an image-pop-up window and "Drop-down Hot Spot" or "Expanding Hot Spot" text exist in a topic.RH version: I faced the issue in RH v8 with patch 2. (Not sure about other versions!)Output: CHM, WebHelpSolution: As a solution to the pop-up windows not showing at correct location, a script file was provided by Praful Jain (see his post on the above forum at Post#17 for more details.)I had the same issue with the pop-up windows in few topics while in other topics it worked well. After running the said script file, the issue did not resolve for me and pop-ups were showing up at top left corner of the Help window.I found that the script rightly resolves the issue of normal pop-up windows but it does not fix the image-map pop-up windows issue, and I was using image-map pop-ups in my window.I did some modification to the script and executed the modified script in my project. I got my
Every time I log in Robohelp 6.0 as an administrator I get the following message : " Unable to register hhctrl.ocx, itircl.dll, itss.dll" How can I fix this?
Hi,I am using FM11-RH10, as part of TCS 4.0.I have imported a FrameMaker book into RH. I am using a master page for the footer content. I am publishing to WebHelp output. We have the browse sequence buttons on the navigation pane above the TOC, but we want to provide additional navigation option in case the user prefers to close the TOC pane. So, we want to add two buttons (Back and Next) at the end of each topic, so that the user can easily navigate to the previous and next topics of a lesson/ book. Preferably, we want this to be a part of master page, which other team members can use without any customization. The buttons should identify the topics from the RH TOC.Is this possible in RH? If not, what is the closest possible solution? Please advise.- Anusha
Display of Webhelp generated from RH11 running on a 64-bit virtual PC.We are upgrading from RH 9 to RH 11 to fix issues with displaying webhelp on IE 10.To evaluate RH 11, I am running 2 virtual PCs, one 32-bit and one 64-bit. When I create webhelp from the 32-bit PC, it displays perfectly in all browsers. When I create webhelp from the 64-bit PC, the Contents,Index,Search,Glossary frame takes about 30 seconds to appear for all IE browsers. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm running RoboHelp 10, generating Help files using the WebHelp target.Sometimes, in the WebHelp output, clicking a Table of Contents or Index entry restults with a bank topic. This issue is resolved my either maximizing/minimizing the screen or by refreshing the browser. The issue does not happen consistently in the output. As well, it seems to only happen in Internet Explorer 10. Is there a work-around for this issue?
I've searched on xss vulnerabilities but did not find anything about "document.write(strHtml)". Can anyone tell me is this due to usage of frames or another reason? ---thanks
can we work on the same project or do we both need to be using the same version of RoboHelp?
Hi,I am using RoboHelp HTML version 10. I have created a master project containing about 40 individual projects. Of these I have 8 which are showing the breadcrumb line twice and one which is showing it 3 times on each page. Why are these showing multiple times and how do I fix it?I have also noticed that in each project which is showing multiple lines, it is also showing the name of the project multiple times - e.g. Home > Doc1 > Doc1 > Introduction Home > Doc1 > Doc1 > IntroductionThanks,Sharon
