So here's the deal: When I make a desktop layout in multiscreen HTML5, the screen.css style sheet "hijacks" the first heading 1 at the top of each topic page and overwrites it with a sort of banner style. I like it. It looks nice. However, if the robohelp topic page has a master page associated with it, this banner style from screen.css is never applied. The odd thing is as far as I know the master page is only defining a style sheet (we'll call it style01.css) for the assosiated topic pages, yet if I attach style01.css to topic pages manually without involving a master page, the banner works just fine.I want to be able to get the banner at the top of the topic AND use a master page in the project. Can this be done?

Hi. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to dynamically expose conditional text in a RoboHelp output?I write documentation for a software company using FrameMaker, from which I make PDF outputs. The Frame files are loaded with conditional text. Most of the conditions specify whether or not the text should be exposed or not according to the version of the software that I'm creating a document for.I'd be very interested to know if a user of RoboHelps web output could be first prompted to input the version of the software that they own. Once specified, the output would dynamically display text that is relevant to that user, and hide text that isn't. For example, the user specifies version "5.4", then the output would expose conditional text labeled, say, "5.4_only" and "5.4_+", and "5.3_+", but HIDE conditions labeled "5.3_only" and "pre_5.4". Use of version-based conditional text works OK for me now. Before I create a PDF, I simply expose the conditional text relevant to the version I'm p
We moved RH to a different machine. After installing RH we simply copy/pasted the RH files from backup. Now the projects have tons of broken links. Any ideas? I'm not very familiar with RH at all.
After generation some font is still in Arial (as it should be) but some font is changing to Times New Roman.Any ideas how to fix this?
I am creating a help system in RoboHelp 10 and outputting it as AIR help. The help topics include links to several PDF documents, which are stored locally (they are not on a server or Web site). When I click any of the links in the AIR help window, however, the window goes blank; the content from the PDF does not appear. No other windows open, either. How can I get the content from the linked PDFs to appear in the AIR help window? Thanks!
We created a custom style sheet, and applied it to all topics in a project, but when it was saved, generated, and published in RH 9, it didn't keep any of the style that was applied at all. It kept all of thetext, changed the bullets to generic bullets, but the fonts, sizes, colors and custom bullets were gone. Please let me know if you have found a solution to this problem. Thank you.

I want to create a PDF of a Help project with 110 topics, to send for review. First time, the PDF was in portrait and almost all of the images (screen shots from the application) run off the right side of the PDF page. I received comments from all of the reviewers about the images ... reviewers were concerned that the Help topics, when opened from the app, would look like the PDF. How do I create a PDF for review in lanscape orientation?Or, is there a way to shrink the images so each one fits on the page when the page is in portrait-orientation?
I've been searching all over help forums trying to figure out how to use Office 2013 with RH10 and the closest I've gotten is the following discussion about generating Help Documentation : http://forums.adobe.com/message/5043919#5043919However, generating documentation isn't my main concern at the moment. I'm trying to import Word Documents into my project but everytime I attempt to do this I get an error that states: "The Import Word Document Wizard cannot locate a supported version of Microsoft Word. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer." I can avoid this by converting to PDF documents, but that's not my ideal solution at this time.My office uses 2013, so I would prefer not to downgrade to 2010. Is there any way to avoid downgrading or would it be best to stick with using PDFs instead?

However, I did find some fixes to other problems related to opening WebHelp using Chrome.I have a WebHelp project containing See Also links. The links don’t work in Chrome. The links work as expected in Firefox and Internet Explorer. The links are not appearing anywhere in the topic, for example, at the top of the topic. The project is currently stored locally and can be opened.I stored the project on a network drive, but the links still don’t work.Is there any chance that
This may seem like a strange question, but does anyone know the name of the default font that is used in the left-hand navigation pane of the AIRHelp window? I'm talking about the AIRHelp window that you install on the user's PC, not the browser help. Any ideas? I'd like to match it and can't figure out which font it is.Thanks!Tim
My understanding is that RH WebHelp currently does not officially support IE 11, and that Adobe has indicated this will be fixed in the next RH release, but that this release (or a separate fix/update for this) has not occurred yet.Is this understanding correct, or am I missing an update announcement, and if so, can someone point me to it? I've had people in office who seem convinced an update has happened, but are unable to provide definite links to said updates, so I need to know if I'm somehow completely blind on an important update.Thanks.PS: I'm aware there's been various "hacks" suggested for the IE 11 issue, but my concern here is only regarding an official Adobe update / fix for this topic.
I am trying to deactivate a copy of RoboHelp on my old Windows XP PC so I can reactivate it on my new Windows 7 PC. I keep getting an error page that says "Deactivation Unsuccessful" with an error code of 194:1.I was was wondering what to do next?
Hello there,I want to make our manuals available as Adobe AIR help applications. Unfortunately for our users it is not possible to regularly install these applications. Therefore I decided to generate a help viewer as AIR file and help content as RHA file ("help content only" ssl option). So admins only once have to install an initial AIR file. Afterwards users are able to replace help content to update help files.I proceeded in a similar way as described here:http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2010/07/merging_multiple_helps_in_air_help_output.htmlIn principle this is a good solution - but here is my problem: Help content itself already consists of different projects (merged projects). Merged projects unfortunately cannot be generated with "help content only" ssl option.Anyone has got an idea how to satisfy all my conditions:- Customers only once have to install an AIR file- Afterwards help content can be updated by replacing files (without installation)- Help content itself contains merg

Hi 🙂I did search, but did not find an answer...I am using the latest version of RoboHelp, appropriately patched. There are two HHActiveX.dlls in the Redistribute folder, one for 32 and 64-bit.Will registering the 64-bit on a 32-bit system work, or do I have to register the 32-bit for a 32-bit system?(Hoping that one size fits all), Cara Bereck Levy
I need to create help for an iPhone and Android app using RoboHelp 10. Which option do I choose for a New Project: Blank Project or Application Help? And, which output do I choose under "File > Generate"? I see an option for "Native Mobile App." But, I'm not seeing a "Multiscreen HTML5" option. Which file do I give the developer? Thanks for your help!
Is there a setting in RoboHelp 10 that will make it remember which documents I have open, so that the next time I open the project the documents open as well? Thanks,
I'm on RH10, working on a project that I've been working on for several months now, and suddenly I'm having a serious problem. When compile the project as HTML help, I'm receiving the following error message at about 80% complete:"HTML Help settings has insupported characters for the chosen language. Do you want to continue..."I've seen a couple of topics in the forums that mention this error, but they seem to be dealing with foreign language settings. In my case, the entire project is in English and does not use any special characters that I know of. I have WebHelp set as my primary output, but I need to create a CHM file of this project as well. WebHelp seems to compile without a problem. I only see this error when I attempt to complie as HTML help."Warning: The size of stop file has to be limited in 512 bytes.Warning: Data loss in converting Index data using choosen language. Hello. We've been working with Robohelp X5 for 'a while' now, and due to some issues with 'latest' Word versions (I think any Office after 2000 is giving us issues), so we want to renew our license to the latest version possible. We've been trying Robohelp 9 (it has Robohelp for Word and it can export to Winhelp 4 (.hlp) format). We also tried Robohelp 11 and didn't find nor Robohelp for Word nor Winhelp 4 export possibilities. What about Robohelp 10? Does anybody know if it has Robohelp for Word AND can it export to Winhelp 4?Thank you in advance.
Is there an easy way to convert drop down hotspots to regular text?I am using RH8.If I remove the drop down, it deletes the text content. If I manually copy/paste the content from the edit window for each drop down, it is very time consuming.
I have a project that has been upgraded many times. Until RH10 it has been working and still works in RH9. RH10 fails to compile this project and "Stops Working" in Win7-64. This project has been removed from version control which has not changed the failure but has made testing a lot faster.Near the beginning of the compile 2 warnings popup about two images we use as bullets which it says the source doesn't exist. The reason it doesn't exist is because it is doubling the path ( example: D:\project files\testproject\D:\project files\test project\WarningSymbol.jpg "cannot be copied to" D:\project files\testproject\!SS!\Microsoft_Html_Help\!chm_temp_folder_0\D:\project files\testproject\D:\project files\test project\WarningSymbol.jpg". reason: source does not exist.Go figure, the path is whacked. I have attempted to search every style and every page for the use of these images and somewhere buried in this project is a hidden link in the code that I can
How do you export the RoboHelp files into Microsoft Word 2013? I've tried doing it through the application but I am receiving the following error "A supported version of Microsoft Word does not exist. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer.". Is there a way to go around that when I have the most recent version of Microsoft Word?
