Dear friends,I am using conditional tag feature on one of my topics in robohelp and the topic is getting excluded from the output. However, the numbering in TOC doesn't change. For example,I have the following sections in my help file:1.1 A1.2 B1.3 CIf I apply CT on 1.2 it is excluded from the output but the TOC appears as follows:1.1 A1.3 C1.2 is removed but the numbering is still the same.Can anyone help me in solving this problem. The numbering should also get modified in the TOC like:1.1 A1.2 C

Hello:I am using RoboHelp HTML 10 on Windows 7, generating PDF and webhelp.My project includes some images with text wrapping to the right of the image. I would like to allow a certain amount of the text to appear next to the image, then force the wrapping to stop at a specific sentence. I want the next paragraph to be aligned with the left margin instead of continuing to wrap around the image.This is the effect I want:I want paragraph A to appear next to the image, and paragaph B to be aligned with the left edge of the topic. It is OK for there to be some white space below paragraph A. Is there a way to make this happen? Regards,Juliette Curtis

Having just re-installed RH my user defined variables display in the same colour as the other text. I know there is a way to display them in robohelp as a different colour but cannot remember how to do it. Please can anyone advise?Thanks

Happy New Year everyone! I found an article that provided a solution on how to categorize search results in RoboHelp. I could not post comments or ask questions on the site and thought that all the RH Gurus on this forum can help me. I get an error on the search pane. Has anyone tried this method and has it worked?Any other alternatives?

I have applied the IE 10 fixes for displaying help, yet one topic displays the TOC and header, but the right hand panel is blank and flickers until I select a different topic (but the flicker returns when I select the original context sensitive topic in the TOC), or I select a program from the IE toolbar (for example: "About Internet Explorer" and then it is fine until I exit the browser and try again.Here's the kicker. I am using IE9 and do not plan to upgrade to IE10 for precisely the reason RH 10 needs a patch.

I have created an alternative to editing the “whtbar.js” file to give an image alt attribute information. We have a custom button in our help file that needed alt information, but we had already incorporated the text into the button’s image and did not want to add the text label. We also did not like the visual border treatment that adding a text label did to the button. I wrote this JavaScript function that will not only accomplish this, but it will also capture the functionality that RoboHelp creates for the OnClick event handler and duplicates it in an OnKeyPress event handler for that same button. I have successfully tested this script in both IE (IE 6.0) and Mozilla (Firefox 1.5), and it appears to work fine.

I have a webhelp imported from MS word with many tables. I used a table style to set up the tables in MS word. What I want: Table centered on page. Text inside table aligned left. What I get in preview and webhelp output: Table centered on page. Text inside table centered in table(In the RH editor, the table looks how I want it with the table centered and the text aligned left)I've tried setting the text to the normal style, but that didn't do anything.I know I can manually edit the HTML code, but I don't have the time to do that.

HI, I want to link multiple framemaker books to robohelp and use each book as a child project in a master project. However, there are multiple hyperlinks between the framemaker books. I have created individual RH projects, and linked a single book to each project.  I generated them all into a master project (as usual), but the hyperlinks between the projects (that worked fine between the PDFs generated from the original Framemaker books) are broken in the output. I check the html of the hyperlinks in RH, and while the text is recognized as a hyperlink, the href tag is missing.Note: All links with target and destination in the same book / project work fine. I could create a single book containing all these books, and then link this book to FM, and this would probably avoid the issue, but it wouldn't be a good solution as I would then have  workflow / source control issues.  Also, I would obviously prefer not to have to manually repair the links in RH, due to time contstra

I’m replacing old images with new ones in RoboHelp HTML 10.I’ve deleted the old pictures in Design view and pasted the new pictures in. (I know this is not the recommended way but with lake of time I found it to be the fastest way and we don’t feel the need to give the files described names at the moment.)It has worked fine until now when I noticed that some images are not showing in Project Manager. I see the “folder” Images and I see a lot off images there but some are missing. The “missing” images are shown in Design view and in the browser after publishing. But in the report Unused files the “missing” images are listed as unused.I have tried toclose and reopen the project,generate and publish the project,delete an “missing” image from Design view and insert it by using Insert / Image. After saving this image, and some other “missing” images, are shown in Project Manager. But not all “missing” images. Does anyone know why this is, or more important how to get Project Manager to show

I have a .pdf file that I want to "display" when selected from the TOC.  I work on several products Online Help projects in RoboHelp 10.  Two of the products use HTML Help and I generate .CHM files for them.  One of these projects has a book with a page that links to a .pdf in the Baggage Files folder.  After the .CHM file is generated and I click on the Page (with this link), it pulls up the .pdf document in the window where help text usually appears.I want to do this same thing in RoboHelp 10 in a WebHelp project.  I set it up the same way that the other project is set up for this book and page.  The .pdf is in the Baggage Files folder and the Page link points to it there.  I then Save and Generate it and view the results and AM NOT ABLE to pull up the .pdf document.  I then generated a .CHM file from the same project and WAS ABLE to pull up the .pdf document (so this tells me that it is at least set up in the same way as my other project).Does

I have the Adobe Technical Communication Suite and Microsoft Office 2007 installed on my office computer. My operating system is Windows Vista. In RoboHelp HTML, I have been trying to generate printed documentation through the Single Source Layouts, but I receive the following error message every time: "Microsoft Word has not been started on this computer. Launch Word and click the 'Start using Microsoft Word' option before generating Printed Documentation again." I have indeed opened Word--many times in fact--and I don't see an option for "Start using Microsoft Word," so I'm stumped. I am an administrator on the computer, and I installed both Office 2007 and TCS, in that order, on my system. In attempting to resolve the problem, I have - Tried to generate printed documentation for both old and new projects - Tried generating .doc, .docx, and .pdf files. - Uninstalled TCS and Office 2007 and reinstalled them, with Office 2007 first and then TCS. - Enabled all macros in Word 2007. -

Using RH10 and having Acrobat XI installed, the option for saving a PDF for review works but the options to enable commenting and to send for shared review are greyed out.Acrobat and RoboHelp have been installed separately not as part of the TCS, is this a problem? It is possible to save the PDF and then separately enable the commenting in Acrobat, so the basic functionality does work.Robert

Hi,Some basics: We are using Robohelp 10 to  generate multiscreen  html5 output. We used the pharmaceutical  screen layout downloaded from:  http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/robohelp-screen-profiles-layouts.html but modified it to match our GUI. We are having a problem with the browse sequence back and browse sequence next buttons placed in the screen layout from the widgets tool bar. We are in no way experts at this part of Robohelp...and the css portion of all this is a bit of mystery but we have managed to get mostly what we need. Now we just need these buttons to work. In the past we used Airhelp and things worked great. Can anyone help us understand why the sequence buttons are not showing up in the output even though it does in the topic preview?Also This shows up in the  layout.css file:a.wBSBackButton {                 margin: 0 8pt 0 0;       &n

My employer has an online help system. Currently, the same URL shows in the browser's address bar no matter which topic you have selected in the help system. For example, the URL for the help system is:http://www.helpsystem.com/help/welcome_to_help.htmNo matter where I am in the help system, that URL always shows up. If I need to refer someone else to a certain topic, I can't just send them a link. I have to tell the person where to drill down to it from the Table of Contents. I'd like to refer someone to a specific section, for example,http://www.helpsystem.com/help/welcome_to_help.htm/projectsThe person who created the help system said that RH centralizes the webskin in that address, which is also the starting topic. Calling the URL launches the webskin and TOC. He said that you can only make direct calls to a topic if you're willing to do this without a skin and TOC. Is this true? We have RH8. Does RH10 have more capabilities? Thanks.

I am having trouble importing skins from the web for the RoboHelp 10 application.  I have downloaded the skin from the Adobe's website and changed the file name (ie, xp_gov.zkn), but the application is not allowing me to import the skin.  I'm receiving an error "Please insert Disk Volume 1854 of 8225.".  Is there a way to go around that?  I don't know how else to import a skin.Thank you!

I'm using Robohelp10, though this has always been an issue in all versions of RH that I've used. I have a document with many headings that end in a particular # (it's a version #)e.g.I3DMLFeatureLayer65. I3DMLFeatureLayers65. I3DMLFeatureProperties65. I3DViewshed65. IAction65. IAttachment65. IAttribute65.   IAttributes65  When I import and automatically have the TOC converted, all these headings appear in the RH TOC (books and pages) with the # 65 at the end missing, as such:I3DMLFeatureLayer. I3DMLFeatureLayers I3DMLFeatureProperties I3DViewshed IAction IAttachment IAttribute   IAttributes  In the topics themselves, the topic title displays correctly (with the 65 at the end).Has anyone else experienced this/have any suggestions? I am using Robohelp 10 on Win 7 OSAfter renaming some files and folders in the Project Manager, I closed RoboHelp and when I tried to open the project again it was corrupted. Got the message "Robohelp stopped working" and could not open the project.I wonder if I broke some rule(s) for using Project Manager. Here's what I did:right-clicked a folder and chose "rename" to rename the folder. Did this to a few folders.right-clicked a topic and chose "properties". Under "general" tab, renamed "topic title" and "file name" (thought i used the correct RH file naming conventions for doing so). Did this to a few topics. Also revised index and keyword text.Dragged-and-dropped a few topics into different folders. Dragged a topics up and down in a folder to change the list orderAfter moving all topics out of folder, right-clicked an empty folder and chose "delete". did this to a few foldersDo any of these actions break the rules of using Project Manager?It may be helpful to also note that i have no

Currently we are using robohelp10 for generating webhelp documents. We purchased that too.. Now we are facing following issues,    1. Active x is blocking our script in IE- Please suggest us some solution to unblock that programmatically .    2. Google Chrome is not supported.    3.Content layout remains empty in generated output.Please suggest us solution as soon as possible. Its very urgent. Is it possible to create Map IDs using the File name of the HTM, instead of its Topic Title?
