Substance 3D Painter

Hey, I wanted to start learning substance painter, so I started the substance painter trial, the first step is to create a PBR - Metallic Roughness (Allegorithmic) template, but I can't find that option, All I get is templates with the starter assets options, is this a limt of the trial or am I missing something.

Hello, We have purchased a license for Substance 3D Painter on 16.07.2021 and the desktop application works, but when we logged in the Adobe account it says that it is trial version and it will expire soon. Is this a bug as in the desktop application there is no notification on the same?Thanks.

Like bezier curve  or a shape a brush would follow .     Like in Zbrush or 3dcoat?

When I am trying to replace  the stitch material  with my own the brush is no more "rolling". Rather  puts brush dabs on each other or doigng some other mess I couldn't even figure out  .   What  am I missing?    Is there a special something to make it roll?

I am fully paid for permanent versions up to 30th November 2021 (gulp, that's tomorrow !) so will my Allegorithmic account with all the license keys and software vanish in a puff of smoke after that date ? Of course I am downloading, but it is taking much longer than I thought so I may need to go over that date.  Many thanks for any help.  🙂

Hi,   We had several report mentionning issues with the middle mouse click not working with a pen on a graphic tablet. This seems related to the Wacom drivers version 6.3.44, downgrading to an older version should fix the problem for now.   We have reached out to Wacom to warn them about the issue.

I keep getting this pop up when I launch, and the program won't load. When I click either of the buttons, it crashes it. Have re-installed the software 3X, different locations, all fail. Changed all files permissions, it's not that either.  

There will be a 2022 steam perpetual license? or 2021 is my last chance to get a perpetual license?

Greetings, I am using the Substance Painter (Steam Edition) version 7.3.0 build 1272The project I am working with was built with a previous version of substance and it warned me that it would need to update it to make it comptable with this update , which I did.I was looking for the Stitch tool (I've not used it before) and was having difficulty locating it in the shelf.According to your own guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CKHKjAtAOw , It says select the brush tool and go to shelf and select the Tools category  I could not find this category in the Shelf or the others either such  Particles, Color Profiles etc,but if I search in the shelf I can locate the assets, but this means I kneed to know what to look for - is this correct ?(See attached Image)  

I have a full adobe creative club subscription but when I try to use substance apps I am greeted with a message that I need to buy a licence. It shows that I do not have the licences for substance apps on my Adobe Creative Club subscripton even though I used though have a student licence that is up to date. When I try to login through substance it says that I already own a licence. I am trying to figure out how to get my licence back asap. Thank you.  

I have active maintenance for Painter and Designer until 28/11/2021, so a few more days.You just released the 2022 versions, so why do I not have access to download/license those? They fall within my active maintenance period.

I do have a very fine mesh. The Vertex Color is assigned, it's cleary to see when using 3dsmax.After exporting the .fbx file and importing to Substance Painter... well, Substance Painter can't read the vertex color information. I have exported numerous other meshes with no problem. What's causing that issue?

Hi,I already own a Painter 2021 steam license and now that the 2022 version is launched I see my 50% discount special price for upgrading to the 2022 version on steam. My question is: Is that upgrade discount only available during the current sale period (until December 1) or is still available after that date (for previous steam versions owners)? Thanks!

I am evaluating Substance Painter, and the first object I am working on, I am trying to use the rain particle brush to get a certain look. I have rotated the object in my 3D programme so that the front is not facing the top. (I'm trying to emulate the kind of streaks you would get from fast flight). However, when I pick the rain brush and paint it on the surface, the droplets run down the object in what look like completley arbitrary directions. I have tried to adjust the properties, and although I get the strok to alther, the direction it runds down the object does not. Can you help, need this to work. 

I would like to see an option for "Export to Photoshop" to choose the reolution independantly of document resolution, including 8k which is currently impossible. This was asked for on the old forum in 2017 with no update since. 

Hey, I am using the test version of substance 3D painter and I enjoy it alot. In the beginner tutorials on youtube the creators used radial symmetry, but sadly this wont work for me. Maybe this is because of the test version but it currently looks like this:If theres a fix for that I would really like to get any info on why this bug might happen (or if its because of the test version).Thanks :)! 

Can I save a 3D model from Painter and use it in Adobe Dimension?

Hi guys, sometimes this is showing up in the render, but not in the viewport, after applying some material with a fiber texture or any one with a normal and relief channel, even if simple. Can anybody help me?Thanks for help!

Hallo substance painter support community / team, i have an issue with the export from substance to sketchfab. The sketchfab option in the drop down menu of the the export textures field is grey and if i hover over it there is a message 'thís preset is not aviable for the current project'. I tried it on other projects and this problem stays the same. Reinstalling substance painter doesn't fix this problem. I hope you can help me to fix it. Greetings V.

hi, im currently working in substance 3d painter to texture a roman banner. ive basically got everything textured but the logo im putting in the middle. i want to use the symmetry tool to do it, but it is centred in the wrong direction and i am unable to change the settings. i try and click on the settings icon and the settings menu comes up for a split second, and if i try and hold it down all the settings are darkened and unusable.can anyone give me any help here?

Using STEAM version (2020)Every time I boot up Substance 3D Painter, it warns me that the GPU driver is not correct. I'd installed the latest driver, and the driver version encouraged in the warning message is quite old.Is there a problem if I continue to use it?

Hey I've noticed it's rely hard to do some quick Gradiants across the mesh in Painter,, so my request would be to add a proper Gradiant Tool. like in (for exsaple) 3ds max Viewport canvis. this tool is rely old but the Gradiant tool ist quit usefull and easy to use https://imgur.com/3wkzZju  It's almost like in Photoshop your draw a gradient in screenspace were u want.This in combination with some neat gradient Templates would be superB !Hope at some point this will be in Painter!
