Hello,
I don't know why, maybe it since the 2019 version, but I cannot use the eyedropper tool to change a color for a shape.
This is the problem :
Eye dropper Bug ?
When I hover my mouse with the eye dropper tool, all I have is the color black of the initial background. But when I point outside the screen display, I can find the color of the video as if my file is beside of the screen display.
Can someone could tell me how to resolve this problem. I don't find any clue on Adobe support or video tutorial.
With thanks,
Adriano

Tell us what you tried to do to solve it. Did you tried deleting preferences, for example?

Hello,
I didin't touch anything on preferences. Only on disable the auto-save.
These problem has appeared without I know the cause.
All I did is :
Drag and drop the media to create a sequence.
Click on images / New layer / Rectangle shape.
Click on the shape / click on the eye dropper in the color section of the form.
Point on the screen display but could only find black color.
But outside the screen display I can find the colors from the video.

Try this please.
Here is how you can reset the preferences:
Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. You can release the Alt key or Option key when the splash screen appears.
To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting. Release the Shift-Alt keys or Shift-Option key when the splash screen appears.

Happens to me too. I'm using 13.1.2 on MacOS. However, If the eyedropper is blue than it is active, my cursor doesn't change into an eyedropper but still works as expected. Now, if activate the eyedropper (making it turn blue) and then tap the Command key (on a Mac) then it turns in to the eyedropper as expected. Very strange behavior.

So, we'll have to wait what have to say Adobe about this issue. It's really strange.

Hello,
Just to tell I tried the reset preference yesterday and it worked.
Now my eyedropper tool capture the color inside the screen display.
But I don't know what is the problem in preference : I know I didn't touch anything but disable auto-save.
