Changing from regular subscription to student subscription

Currently, I'm a student and want to change my current plan(with all applications) to a student plan. 

 

1. Problem: When I want to start the process for the student plan Adobe tells me that I already use this plan, so it looks like I have to cancel my current sub first. Is the Adobe Interface really that limited or I'm doing something wrong here?

 

2. Problem: If I want to change my current sub the student plan doesn't show up as an option.

 

3. Problem: When I want to cancel my current plan so I could start with the student plan, Adobe came up with a 200$ penalty to celebrate my 6-year loyalty to the company. Is there a workaround where I don't get bankrupt for only wanting to change to a student plan?

    I also know that I have a subscription for all Adobe applications. It's also in the first sentence of my question. Since your question has nothing at all to do with my request I am a bit confused.

    To answer your question: Yes. I know the eligibilities for the student plan.
