Adobe PDF printer prints in wrong size

Community Beginner ,
Apr 28, 2024 Apr 28, 2024

Hello community,
I want to print a PDF document with the Adobe PDF printer in A5 size. I added A5 to the page sizes. In the preview everything seems to be correct, the page size shows up as 148mm x 210mm (which matches the original PDF size). The printed document however has a different size of 162mm x 229mm. See pictures below as reference.

That means of course that the text size and page borders are different from the original PDF.

What can I do to get the PDF printer to print in the correct size?

Thank you for your help!

Thank you again for your help!
And sorry I have not been able to response earlier.
I have not been able to replicate this bug. The documents are now being printed in the size which I set (and as it is shown in the print preview).

Regards,

Constantin

Try selecting the "Actual Size" option in the print dialog, so the content doesn't get scaled up or down.

PS. A better way to scale your pages would be to use the Preflight tool.

I actually don't want any scaling, I would be happy if the size would be kept as the original PDF.
I think the preflight tool is only available in the Pro version, I only have Acrobat standard.

Ah, got it. And yes, that's true. Preflight is a Pro feature only.

Have you tried the Crop Pages tool?

Thank you for your reply! I tried that, but the problem persists.

I would like to see a dummy document (both, source and result) here. I've also created a Custom A5 page size, and with my print, the document gets the target size. (they are not centred, however, which I suppose is a bug.

My print dialogue, however, is as this:

(and my document is an A4 paper scan).

The document size is as expected:
