My digital signature doesn't show my name, it shows Digitally signed by member, then a bunch of numbers.

Is there a way to change it so it shows my actual name typed out? I filled in all the fields in the Identity portion of Preferences, but it still populates my signature with a long cluttered member ID.

Hi Sharesky,

Please open the PDF in Acrobat on which you have added the signatures and then go to View > Navigation Panes > Signatures.

As you have just opened the application not the PDF, it doesn't show you complete options.

Let us know if you still experience the issue.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Please use View > Show/hide > Navigation Panes > Signatures (you should never trust what is on the page). Does this show the correct info?

You should. EVERYONE working with signatures needs to use it. What do you see under View > Show/hide > Navigation Panes?

Unfortunately you cannot email screen shots, so we don't see anything. Please either type out what you see, or return to the forum to use the Image button in your reply.

Here is what I see in Acrobat Reader DC. In Acrobat Pro you should see much more than this:

Hello,

I am having this same problem when viewing a document (I'm viewing it on a PC) that was signed digitally on a MAC.  Instad of the name of the signature, I only see "Digitally signed by member:" and then a string of numbers and letters.  What does the signer need to do to correct their signature before signing and then sending the document to me?
