I purchased standalone (non-subscription) Acrobat Professional V. 17 and have a serial number. I have logged in to my Adobe account and redownloaded the software. When I open it, the only option I am given is to activate a subscription. It does not allow may to enter my serial number.
It took days for me to figure it out, but I finally solved it. If you try to download the version from the link associated with your purchase on your Adobe account online, it won’t let you enter the serial number. It will only allow you to purchase a subscription. That’s because the download link is actually for the new version of Adobe, not the one you purchased. This is deceptive and Adobe’s attempt to force everyone to purchase a subscription. You need to go to https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/acrobat-2017-downloads.html
Extract all the files and then go to …..\Acrobat_2017_Web_WWMUI\Adobe Acrobat and click on the SETUP option.
