PDF to PNG - 600 dpi - Error: "The image is too wide to output. Please crop it or reduce resolution"

Hello,

I have been using Adobe Arobat for many years and this is the first time I am experiencing this problem.

 

I need 600 dpi PNG file from PDF. I tried lower resolution but website is not accepting my document  where I need to upload 600 dpi png document.

 

I am receing message " The image is too wide to output. Please crop it or reduce resolution"

 

Please advice what should I do?

    If you really do want 600 ppi you can probably do this with Photoshop. (TIP: in Photoshop do not use EXPORT or SAVE FOR WEB).

    But often people are given misleading requirements which lead them to impossible ppi. If you would like to explain what you want to do with this PNG and also

    - if it is to be printed, at what exact size is it to be printed?

    - what is the current size of the PDF (shown in the bottom left corner if you hover the mouse there)?

    - what kind of printing/printer will be used?

    I am also facing the same problem. I need to export high quality exploded views from PDF to PNG format and use them in Word that I am using to create a parts catalog. If Acrobat does not support above 300 dpi, why the option is available. They should restrict up to 300 dpi. Also, why there is no option to export to vector format from PDF where the resolution is maintained even after exporting.

    The PPI value should be banned. Do a 500 ppi PNG file (or whatever value works) and use an Exif editor to set the value to 600. You won't change anything to the file. You can do that in Photoshop, but basically any program allowing you to patch this value will work.

    (original value was 72 dpi)

     

    Incidentally: are you using the 32 bits Acrobat or the 64 bits Acrobat? It may be that for 32 bits, the resulting PNG file is too big.
