I was using PDF file in my ipad pro, but my device automatically went off suddenly because of the battery ran off. Afterthat, when i restart my ipad pro, and try to open the same file via PDF, it look like the file has been corrupted. The massage said 'This file can not be opened because it is corrupted or damaged'
What should i do to fix this problem?

Hi Calittaa,
As the error message said that the file has been corrupted, and its not opening. If this is the case then unfortunately, there isn't any way to get the same file repaired.
There might be some pdf content which isn't letting the pdf to load after device crashed.
You need to download or get the same file again after deleting the corrupted one.
Hope this answers your query.

Akanchha

It is also my experience that this has little to do with the file itself but more to do with Adobe. I use Adobe for work and have it installed on several different devices - ipads, laptops, and desktops. It is a common occurrence for me to get the corrupted file error on one device and then when I attempt to open the same file on a different device, there is no error.

Hi @johnb65843338,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.
Regarding the issue you are referring to, do you see this only on mobile, or is it the same on the desktop version?
Also, is there a specific workflow or event after which you experience this issue?
Would you mind sharing the app version number and a sample file where you experience this to test in-house and investigate further?
Thanks,
Souvik

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm getting a whole bunch of files with this message that open just fine on my Mac. And trying to open older versions of the same document (copied before it all stopped working) does exactly the same thing.

I have reported the issue to the team for further investigation.
Would you mind sharing a sample file with us to reproduce the issue and get it investigated further?
This would help us understand and get to a fix quickly.
Also, a screenshot of the error you see would be great.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi @avbcit,
Sorry for your experience with opening files on Acrobat.
The above file format shared on the screenshot is a data file, and Acrobat is not intended to open such files.
Please try opening a PDF or an Acrobat compatible file and let us know if that works.

@avbcit This looks like a screenshot on the desktop version.
The discussion here primarily is for the mobile version.
Any link that you have here with the files on mobile?
If not, I'll move our conversation to a separate thread and the desktop board for further visibility.

I've been getting this same message for years, and no files are able to be opened, shared, or any of the other features this company claims it's able to do with PDFs. Support is nonexistent and they don't care. Get bent.

@Daniel321922064q9f Could you share one with me as a sample to investigate? It would be great to look into the possibilities of why the error is thrown.
