I want to run Acrobat Pro without Creative Cloud; I bought it in 2006 and have license.

I purchased Acrobat Pro for Mac in 2006, later purchased Production Premium CC package, no longer need the apps but do need my Acrobat Pro. Creative Cloud apparently has taken over my Acrobat Pro license and will not let it run unless I buy Creative Cloud again. What's the workaround to get Acrobat Pro, for which I paid twice, it appears, running standalone?

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

delete the Adobe PCD folder and SLStore folders,  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/configuration-error.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall your acrobat and activate with your serial number.

I uninstalled all CC apps previously and ran Cleaner Tool. Following your prompts on my Mac Mini (one of the reasons I don't want to run CC on it anymore) found the Adobe folder in Library but no PCD or SLStore folders. Adobe Application Manager persistently launches and tries to drag me back to registering Creative Cloud. Trying to open any pre-existing pdf shows the Acrobat Pro XI splash screen and then back to Application Manager.

you need to delete those licensing folders.
