Hi there ygmyvr,

Can you please tell me specifically what happens? Do you get an error message when you try to convert (if so, what is it)? Or, does the file convert but not turn out like you'd expect (missing words, graphics, and so on)?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Best,

Sara

Thank you Sara for your prompt response.

1. When I open the email file with Adobe the sidebar shows the file name to

be converted to Word. I click Convert and get the message: File failed to

be converted using Adobe Export PDF online.

2. If I access my Acrobat.com account, select PDF files, my computer, file

name and click Export to Word it flashes "converting" and it either goes

into an endless loop (which I have to stop) or I get the message:

"Conversion Failure" a few seconds later.

I've never had a problem with your software. Thought it may be due to the

document format from Transport Canada but have not been able to confirm

that with them.

I can email the document if that would help. See link below.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Hi Yvon,

Thank you so much for sending the file along. You're absolutely correct! It is the format of the document that is preventing the conversion to Word. Specifically, the form data on the last page. I was able to extract pages 1 and 2 and convert the file without issue.

Maybe not the answer you were hoping for, but there are a handful of file formats that Acrobat can't convert to Word and PDF forms is one...

Best,
Sara

I would most appreciate it .

Thanks a bunch...y

I can send you pages 1-2 in Word format--but page 3 is the one that can't be converted. Would you like the first two pages?

I'm amazed at how you managed to separate p. 1 & 2 of a pdf, however, given

that I needed the application form on p. 3 to fill out and send to

Transport Canada, I'm afraid the rest of the documentation is not relevant.

I sincerely appreciate your help and thank you for your prompt attention

and response!

Have a nice weekend.

Hi Yvon,

Do you have Adobe Reader? That's all you really need to fill out that form on page 3. There's no need to convert to Word....

You can download the free Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Best,

Sara
