Downloaded Adobe Express graphic is blurry

Community Beginner ,
Jul 18, 2022 Jul 18, 2022

I created a flyer in Adobe Express and all my pictures look crisp on the desktop site but when I download it as jpeg or png the image is pixelated. It is a 600x400 image and my images are photos from lightroom. Not sure if that is causing the issue and I need to resize those images or what? Just not sure why it is crisp and looks great in the desktop app and crappy once downloaded.

I forgot to mention, please make sure to re-adjust or resize based on your needs or preferences after you've confirmed that the photos are no longer blurry.

I was speaking with an Adobe tech person, because I had this issue of downloading from within Adobe Express into a PDF, and some of my pictures were blurry. After testing her resolution herself she told me to re-upload the photos from within PhotoShop to a separate directory saving them as JPEG files. Then upload them to Adobe Express as the newly saved JPEG. Then increase or resize the file(s) as 4500×8000 or tte maximum. I did this one file at a time to make sure it worked and now each of my b

A couple of things you could try:

- Download as PDF if that's an option

- Resize the page 2x or higher, then download (note: resize is premium functionality only available to paid users)

Hi @Heidi388807250zmk ,

I don't work for Adobe.

I was going to suggest to change the Online Storage to your local drive.

I use Adobe Express on an Android mobile device, and that is a setting that I can manipulate at the operating system-level on Android.

Doing so, allows my documents to be saved directly in my computing device rather than letting the app to automate any file syncing of my original files directly to the cloud space.

For PCs using macOS or Microsoft Windows, I believe that can be tweaked through the Creative Cloud app settings (but I'm not 100% sure).

It's 2025 now. Same. If I create a template in AE at, say, 1200px X 1200px and then bring in an image I created in Photoshop which is also 1200px x 1200px...it comes into my template at about 40-50% of the scale. When I scale it up it becomes blurry/pixelated. I have tried creating my image at 72, 150, and 300dpi. It happens every time.

I'm having the same issue. I'm seeing a huge difference in quality of picture when I bring in an asset from a library I've been using for months.

Hi @Edward_Trout3955,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about the image quality in Adobe Express. We understand how important it is to get sharp, high-quality exports for your projects.

To help improve the image quality, please try the following steps:

  1. Check your export settings: When downloading, ensure you select the highest available resolution and file quality options.

  2. Use PNG format: PNG usually preserves more detail compared to JPEG, especially for graphics with edges and text.

  3. Avoid scaling up small images: Make sure your original assets are at least the size you need in the final design to prevent pixelation.

  4. Try exporting as PDF: If you use PDF export, please ensure the export settings are set to maximum quality before converting to other formats.

  5. Clear browser/app cache or try another device/browser: Sometimes, cached data can affect export performance.

  6. Update your browser or app: Running the latest version ensures you have the newest fixes and features.

If after trying these steps you still experience poor quality exports, please share the file name, the export format you are using, and your device/browser details. We’ll escalate this to our engineering team and update you as soon as possible.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. I use this program every day for social media content and noticed the issue starting yesterday 06/11/25. In adobe express my file looks great, then after downloading the image, it is very pixelated and low quality. I've tried the other ways that have been mentioned to export the file with no success. I use this for my small business everyday and need help asap. Thanks to anyone that can help. 😊

Hi @jason_5061, Welcome to our Adobe Express Community! Thanks for reaching out.

Could you share the project ID with us along with an exported file of the project so we can check the difference in quality? Also, can you confirm if this happens with all projects or just one specific one? What export type (PDF, PNG, JPG) did you notice the quality issue?

Please share the details so we can investigate this.

Best!

Hi @Shaun24353889blmh,

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about this. Is this happening with all projects or with a specific project?

Did you try using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) or incognito mode to see if it makes a difference?

Also, try clearing the browser's cache and cookies, and restarting the browser and try again. For more information on how to clear cache and cookies check this link- https://adobe.ly/4a5ipUF and how to use incognito mode- https://adobe.ly/4a2UzZV

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Tarun
