How do you bypass the extra step in saving files added to Audition after V3.0?

When saving a single file in Audition 3, the browser window opened automatically, like when you save any file.

However, in "updated" version, an extra step was inserted. As a broadcast radio producer who pulls bites for immediate use on air, this extra step is soul crushing and doubles the amount of time it takes to save a file.

So, in the name of efficiency, how do you bypass the extra step in saving files added to later versions of Audition?

It's an Audition dialogue box instead of a Windows dialogue box with added functionality such as changing sample type, format settings and choosing to include metadata or not.

It essentially works the same and the "Location" box will remember the last directory you saved to. If you're saving lots of bits to the same place it essentially works the same.

Ctrl/Cmd & S followed by typing a file name and hitting Enter. That's pretty fast

So you're saying we are forced to use it?

How do you bypass the Audition Dialogue Box to go directly to the Windows dialogue box?

There many reasons why the extra step of the Audition Dialogue box doubles my time. (-:

For example, integration with Newboss and Core Publisher. COre Publisher needs file names to be have no spaces, using underscores.... typing out 8 word file names with underscores in the Audition Dialogue Box is not efficient

As far as I know that's correct, yes.

After hitting Ctrl/Cmd & S you could use a keyboard shortcut - TAB key three times then SPACE - which will pop the Windows dialogue box up but it's not an ideal solution.
