Top of the line windows 11 pc not compatible

Question

I just started a sound design class at college and need to use this app, but when I download it, it claims that my computer does not meet system requirements. I know this is wrong, as I have a top-of-the-line gaming PC with 32 gigs of RAM, 16 gigs of VRAM, and an incredibly fast processor with an M2 SSD. Is there a way to work around this error message and just download the file?

It's not necessarily wrong. What processor does your machine have? The supported ones are:

Intel® 6th Gen or newer CPU – or AMD Ryzen™ 1000 Series or newer CPU

Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2) Support required

The AVX2 requirement is one that catches a few people out - even some relatively recent Intel mobos don't appear to support it. The actual processor recommendations are:

Intel® 11th Gen or newer CPU with Quick Sync, or AMD Ryzen™ 3000 Series / Threadripper 3000 series or newer CPU
