@MrGiff -- thank you for relaying this feedback. I'm really sorry that you lost all the text you'd written when switching the conversation type. That is so frustrating.
This is an existing quirk with the Khoros software that we're aware of and following up with the platform to address. We are also looking into customizing the flow entirely so we can address it ourselves. I'll keep this thread updated on where we land.
FWIW (and to be clear this is not an excuse), we try to avoid these scenarios from happening by utilizing a warning prompt before the type is switched, as shown below:
