links to pdf SharePoint documents don't work

Hi

Using Captivate 2019 and publishing to html5.  e-learning module has links to SharePoint documents - links to the Excel files work just fine but links to pdf files do not work. The pdf links work if they are on an web page but not when they are in a Captivate e-learning module. The links work fine for e-learning modules developed in Articulate but they do not work in modules developed in Captivate. Feeling frustrated. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, we do not want to use web objects.

Please include a screenshot.

If it works for articulate files, I don't think it is a user access issue.

Some links break: some links will have the view and other details in the url between {xxx} curly brackets.

Paste the link in an email, send it to yourself to check that when you receive it the whole url is blue and underlined. if the end of the link is not part of the hyperlink, that could be a reason.

Also, if you get an error message when testing, can you include it in this post?

How exactly are you creating the links?

Are you using full URL's or a relative path?

full path. All the links work from: a web page, an email, inside Articulate, in Captivate if using IE. Issues are Captivate when using Edge or Chrome.

For error message - in Chrome get 404 error, for Edge just get a blank browser window.

Problems only for links to SharePoint pdf files. Everything is fine of intranet link, SharePoint Excel and other links

I wonder if it is an issue with opening a pdf as it seems to be the only common point.

I will run a test over the weekend and report back.
